I can't mod my version. I don't have the Steam version
This game uses Steam, there is no other version.
This game uses Steam, there is no other version.
there are xbox and ps3 versions
there are xbox and ps3 versions
Well yeah, except for the console versions. Call me crazy or whatever, but by the way he worded his post it implies that he pirated it.

You can even install the alternate DX9 .dll fix according to him.
Why can I find all these bases that are underwater in Nexus? You might as well go build Rapture while you're at it.

Nothing NOTHING this game can throw at me could have prepared me for this. What explanation does the HUGE MANITEE have for this?!?
Do things like Salesman Weekly, Boxin' Times and Meeting People permanentaly add to your skills or do they wear off after time?
Do things like Salesman Weekly, Boxin' Times and Meeting People permanentaly add to your skills or do they wear off after time?
Wear off, all books that were in F3 however add to your skills. Yes, makes no sense.
So which add to your skill permanentaly and which don't? Is there a list or something lol.. You always find tons in Goodsprings, in mailboxes but I forget which are FO3 books.
There's a list on the Fallout wiki, AKA the Vault. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_books

You just have to earn them by leveling. Once you level up to level 4 i think, there's a perk which grants book not to wear off as quickly.
No, there are some books that add 3/4 points to skills.
Three Dog is better than Mr. New Vegas.
One ain't enough, and two is too low... it's THREE DAWWWWGGGG OWWWWWWWWWWW Seriously, how can you not love three dog.
General idea of the books/magazines thing is that the book is a much more complete understanding of the topic and permanently gives you a bonus while a magazine is just a few tidbits about it that are kinda useful and then you forget because they're useless now. Reading a science journal isn't the same as reading a science textbook so it makes sense a little.

Restarted the game yesterday to play on a more serious run-through, Very Hard-Hardcore difficulty settings and I'm having a blast so far :p
Who needs serious? I grab the rolling pin and summer dress from the old ladies and kill Caesar with it.
Did the Ultra-Luxe (the save Heck Gunderson's kid quest) quest remind you of Hitman? The kitchen, the background music, the masked freaks etc. totally made me feel like playing Hitman.
I can't get out of Goodsprings because of all of the fucking giant scorpians I come across and can't kill..
Thinking of making a new game. My last save is missing for no reason..
So, just got New Vegas and as I was reading the thread earlier, most people said there are game breaking bugs but it's easily fixable with various mods. Can anyone post some or link me please?
Thinking of making a new game. My last save is missing for no reason..
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's because you have the "non-steam :downs:" version
My personal death squad :buddy:
Must be hell trying to keep them all equipped with ammo.
Simple, I give them unlimited ammo. (not unlimited, but like 99999)
Console I assume. [editline]7th November 2010[/editline] It'd be ungodly expensive otherwise.
I actually finished the game with different endings for like 3 times, and got bored. So I decided to play with the console a bit and it made the game even funner to play. Now I'm playing the game and not doing the last quest.
