[QUOTE=Diet Kane;26394698]Fallout Series Thread V5 - FalloutNV.exe is not responding[/QUOTE] I second this.
I still like the 'Please assume the position' phrase. And how about someone makes a Better Cities-esque mod for the Strip? With more casinos, no dumb barriers (Why must we get compatibility for the Xbox when it's on PC!?!), and more back alleys. Or Better Freeside; more thugs, mayhem, etc.

Maybe. I was also thinking of a back-in-time sort of mod for the Vaults, or at least Vault 34. The portal is in front of the tunnel entrance. When activated, it leaves you to the pristine corridors of Vault 34, with nothing but a Vault 34 jumpsuit. (You basically become a normal vault dweller.) You can side with the rebels, the Overseer and his guards, or just go kill-crazy and loot the place. Once the quest is completed, a portal back to the Mojave Wasteland will open in the Overseer's Office, dumping you back outside the Vault cave door. (In the present time, of course.) I was making a little mod that added pristine Vault cells in Fallout 3 for kicks. I eventually got bored and deleted the mod.
Hey guys, guess what I saw in New Vegas today. A moonwalking dog. I'm not kidding, the dog was walking backwards. Also, a fire gecko ran head-first into a mine.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter. [editline]29th November 2010[/editline] you eyeballin' me? [editline]29th November 2010[/editline] you eyeballin' me?
I'm still going for a Fisto thread.
[img]http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/9995/falloutv5.png[/img] I made NV crash to make this graphic.
Perfect. At least Fisto is still in it. :v: What does anyone think of my idea? You travel to, say, Vault 34, but there's some strange portal blocking the cave entrance. Upon activating it, there's a flash of light, and you appear in a pristine Vault 34 airlock with only a Vault 34 jumpsuit. Then there's the quest, the Vault's Reactor is damaged, yadda yadda yadda, then a portal opens in the Overseer's Office. Activate it, and you return to outside the Vault cave entrance. The portal then closes, allowing passage through the cave system into the destroyed Vault 34. Yea or nay?

Gamebyro has this amazing ability to make bump maps look terrible. Edit: or normals, I have a hard time understanding the difference. i thought normals actually change the geometric features, and bump was only the shading.
Normal maps, gamebryo can't do bump mapping, it can do this pseudo parallax but it looks terrible.
Everything looks like plastic or metallic rocks. The entire shading of the game doesn't help. No form of global lighting system, everything is lit.
So I was thinking... What if you could do the "Crazy Old Sun" quest before picking up Euclid's C finder? It would be REALLY awesome to give energy to Archimedes II, wait some time and get back to Freeside to find Max in tears, because he accidentally fried a bunch of the town's folks, as well as his little friend. With what he thought was a harmless toy. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] Ok, it would be rather sad actually, but awesome to implement in the game.
Well, technically you can do that quest before getting the C-Finder, but it doesn't affect the gun until you pick it up. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] But it would be neat...and funny...if he fired it just as you entered Freeside. That way people unaware of the C-Finder could learn of its power in a "lore friendly" fashion.
