Fuck nevada skies, goddamn radioactive sandstorm, had to RUN all the way from the grub 'n' gulb to Camp McCarran at 5 rads/second.
It has exactly the same system requirements as FO3, which in turn has the same requirements as Oblivion, a 4 year old game. Honestly, if your computer can't handle that then, well, how's the '90s working out for ya?
I run Oblivion and Fallout on High/Max and yet Fallout: New Vegas crashes to shit when I start it up on windowed mode on Low. :smith:
Does Karma affect gameplay at all in Fallout NV
Does Karma affect gameplay at all in Fallout NV
Karma has no real consequence in this game.
noe, that one chick on the strip doesnt let you stay in her vault!!111
I got to the part where [sp]Mr. House asks you to kill the Brotherhood. I immediately went to the console on the left, opened up the chamber, said hello, lost one sniper round, and left.[/sp] None of the securitrons did anything, ironically.
Ballistic fist would have been better.
noe, that one chick on the strip doesnt let you stay in her vault!!111
But if you get her a vault suit from each of the vaults, she'll give you a tour of her personal "vault", if ya know what I mean. [sp]I'm talking about sexual intercourse with her.[/sp]
I just started using the Ballistic fist. I feel like a god, who loves only me, has descended from heaven and blessed my fists. Okay, I may be exaggerating a little bit, but it does a lot of damage even when my unarmed skill was 16. [editline]4th December 2010[/editline] Also, what mods on the Nexus that are being developed over time should I be tracking? I only have Real Time Settler on my list.
If you learn to read abstract english, what he means to say is "I also got a hell of alot more bad karma than I usually do in games, mainly from stealing from those damn Powder Gangers and Legion camps. " Mainly because most other games don't have karma systems. It seems however, that rather than accrue evil karma by stealing, it's perfectly fine to just repeatedly kill the inhabitants over and over to get their stuff. The Karma system in Fallout 3/NV Sucks, you get good karma from killing bad guys, but bad karma from simply taking their stuff whether or not they are alive, the bad karma given is also disproportionate, as stealing several things, according to the game system, is as bad as killing an innocent person.
I got a mod that doesn't show karma messages or play the sounds, and changes the system so I don't lose karma when stealing, picking locks or hacking computers.
I got a mod that doesn't show karma messages or play the sounds, and changes the system so I don't lose karma when stealing, picking locks or hacking computers.
Could you possibly give a link?
One of these (I think one of them has the "no karma message" mod too) http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34994 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34929 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35113 Immersive karma: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34784 You might want to check these out as well http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37546 http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36823
I want to start using the GECK, gotta start watching tutorials.
They're pretty good, we've still got only 151 pokémon and Disney is making quality films and FPSs aren't filled with camping 12 year olds with mouths fouler than sailors.
Damn the 90s rocked I miss it.
Damn the 90s rocked I miss it.
I checked the Fallout timeline to see if anything interesting happened in the Alternate 90's... There was only a single paragraph.
1992 * The mission of Sierra Army Depot is changed. It is now responsible for the demilitarization of stores of surplus ammunition that have been deemed unfit or obsolete for military purposes. This mission is to be overseen by the Industrial Operations Command (I.O.C.) in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.), providing a greener, cleaner way to dispose of military ordnance. This mission continued until 2050.
Meh, the 90's in FO sucked.

I mean, look at all that wonderful ammunition that could have survived the Apocalypse to come in handy later, but NOOOO, the fucking EPA had to destroy everything. Dammit. [editline]4th December 2010[/editline] Ninja teddyorist broke my automerge. :C
It's frustrating that you can't help the NCR at the same time that you can do anything else in Fallout: New Vegas. They won't accept my help, and currently I have a ton of Wildcard quests and the Legion's quest started. But nothing about the NCR. I remember, there used to come a dude telling me to talk to them, at the same time as the guy telling you that Ceasar wants to see you. But he didn't. :saddowns:
[img_thumb]http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/37672-1-1290383183.jpg[/img_thumb]
PLEASE tell me that's a craftable mod...
I just bought New Vegas yesterday and damn is it awesome. Unfortunately I'm finding the music to be getting a bit repetitive. Does anybody know any mods that add some more tracks?

Does anybody know any mods that add some more tracks?
If you like Jazz, Zezibesh and I are working on a jazz only radio mod. I think we have enough songs, but Zez disagrees, so when I have the time, I'll work on getting a few more on.
I run Oblivion and Fallout on High/Max and yet Fallout: New Vegas crashes to shit when I start it up on windowed mode on Low. :smith:
That's a bug or one of the many stability issues in gamebryo. Not a sign that the game is more demanding.
After finding my Copy of Fallout 3 (Lost it for a year) I started a New Game, and decided to expertise in Repair, and Bartering. As a result, I'm fucking loaded with caps, and am actually unable to sell more than a couple items at a time without overlapping a merchants cap amount.
I just bought New Vegas yesterday and damn is it awesome. Unfortunately I'm finding the music to be getting a bit repetitive. Adds 80 new songs (if you want that many), with most of them being the songs that quests reference.

Fuck, this no-kill playthrough is just insane. I can't leave Fortification Hill with the platinum chip before going into that bunker Mr House has, and it's filled with robots that I can't kill and I don't have the science skill to do so. HOW DO I GET OUT OF HERE?
Found a bug, once you have completed the quest where you have to find the "escorts" such as Fisto, go back to the Atomic Wrangler and talk to Fisto. If you don't want to have an "escort" with him and you say no, he will give you 10 caps.
