If only we could get somebody to create a better site and then have one of the bigger names associated with it so all of the modders flock there. Once that's accomplished, we could filter out all the twats and all the actual modders.

The main problem with the nexus is that it represents the majority of mod content for the game, and all of the terrible anime, sex and tacticool weapon mods just make it look bad.

Essentially yes. I think they're trying to create a deviantart style mollycoddled environment, but it's not working as well since unlike deviantart the playerbase of the games sis split pretty evenly between complete faggots and people who just want to make their game better, unlike deviantart's overwhelming majority of complete faggots. Hence all the bans.

Get one of the mods that sets the companions to essential, they love to charge headlong into a deathclaw and get murdered. Particularly ED-E, since he's weak as shit.

other then the essential, you can get perks ingame that make companions defend you/get more health/be stronger

Yay I managed to make a plasma shotgun using the geck to go along with my "Lots of unique items hidden all over the world" mod. Allthough its still a bit overpowered. (So is the automatic pulse-smg prototype and boomstick but whatever)

What about a rocket shotgun? and or SMG, good idea yes/no?

Doesn't need to be bigger, just a very good selection of reviewed mods and ports.

Well, who can set up a cheap domain? We don't even need to upload the files there, just link them, shouldn't take more than a few KB.

Mods go to: mediafire.com megaupload.com filesmelt.com etc.
Images: imageshack.us filesmelt.com etc.

And if a modder bitches when we port something he can write a mail to a chinese file hoster and complain there. Good luck with that.
