One more tick about how Bethesda has spoiled me with FO3, Every location had a reason to it, if you found a cave there was most likely some good loot in there or a unique weapon or some holotape of some guy telling his wife and kids how much he loved them but could not stand to witness them growing up in the harsh wasteland next to a corpse with a 10-shot pistol in hand and only 9 shots in the magazine or something, now in NV, if you find a cave the best loot you'll find is the skins from some geckos or something and the cave had no meaning, no big reward for killing 19 fire geckos, or 10 deathclaws in such a confined space, I'll find a location on a map and think "Hmm a location marker with a small house on a hill by itself, something must be in there!" and I'll walk in and all that's there is an abundance of scrap metal, the now useless ammo reloading station and workbenchs (becuase reloading ammo is too expensive and there are no schematics) and some ammo boxes with more 9mm ammo which I don't need becuase everyone, there dog, and there dog's fleas have 9mm pistols with an abundance of ammo on them. Sorry for the rant, but i just feel like this is what happened at bethesda/obsidian:
Bethesda: Hey there's some open space, lets make a cool place with a unique weapon or a stockpile of weapons, but you have to fight your way to it or something! Obsidian: No. Bethesda: Aww.... Pleaseee..... Obsidian: NO! Bethesda: Please? Obsidian: OKAY, WHATEVER, HERE'S YOUR DINKY HOUSE WITH SOME LOOT IN IT, HAPPY?!?!!! Bethesda: But that is terrible loot an- Obsidian: YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANTED, BE HAPPY AND LEAVE ME BE! Bethesda: *sobs* okay... Ill go make a new elder scrolls game then... Obsidian: YEA, GO HAVE FUN WITH YOUR GAY FAIRY MAGIC SHIT! Bethesda: *runs away crying*
Yea, this may or may not be whats happening, but this is all I see: Bethesda + Fallout = Fallout 3, Great game, funny, kept you on your toes, very rewarding. Bethesda + Obsidian + Fallout = Fallout: New Vegas, Okay game, mediocre ending, kept you on your toes if you cant predict which way a one way train is going, ending is not rewarding, and overall game is not rewarding. Yes, the engine has been improved (I suppose) but I just do not see as much of that good stuff of what I liked in fallout 3, in NV, Yes NV is a great game, Ive played it for hours, love the mods, but without mods (say playing it on the Xbox) it would have little to no Re-Play value to me.
[sp]Mr. house isn't a robot; he was being kept alive by machines for over 200 years.[/sp]

[sp]You can see his actual body, and kill him, if you work for Yes Man[/sp]
Ah, I see. Well, it's better than the alternative, that would really seem like a dick move.
I would have given all of my unborn children to Obsidian if Caesar sounded like this. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] Or a legion character called Biggus Dickus would have been amazing

Is there a mod where dead bodies don't disappear overtime? I always like observing my aftermath carnage and was curious if anyone could make this a reality. Same with props too, I noticed that if I bang up a bunch of props all over the floor and when I come back overtime they are placed back to their normal position. Can anyone make it so it doesn't 'reset' everything?
Where is a good place to get custom models for New Vegas, not mods just models to make our own mods.
I think Obsidian missed a great opportunity with the legend of Joshua Graham wandering the desert at night. [sp]Hint : Wild Wasteland[/sp] Anyone else think so? I mean, come on - make him come out at nights and be unkillable, or just disappear into a puff of smoke or something.
So I managed to get my hands on a Ranger Sequoia. Anyone know where to get ammo for it? It takes .40-70 Gov't
I went into the Goodsprings shop and Arcade was standing on a chair... [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/ScreenShot8.jpg[/img_thumb] get down from there, you don't belong there!
So I beat the game. I'm now playing on hardcore mode. It's pretty fun so far, and it certainly does add to the challenge.
Bethesda + Fallout = Fallout 3, some what ok game, not really funny, shitty ending, bad characters, bad plot, bad writing, not very rewarding. Obsidian + Fallout = Fallout New Vegas, Very good game, very funny, lots of rewarding loot, great characters, excellent writing, decent but somewhat clichéd plot, good endings. New Vegas really showed me that Bethesda does not understand the Fallout universe.

[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/ScreenShot11212.jpg[/img_thumb] Oh you think you're so funny, asking me what's up when you're up on a chair.
Anyone else think so? I mean, come on - make him come out at nights and be unkillable, or just disappear into a puff of smoke or something.
You mean ghosts? Fallout 2 had ghosts, but I didn't see any in New Vegas. You can hear some whispering sounds while you're in the cemetary (Goodsprings, and Bitter Springs), other than that there's nothing.

Anyone else give Boone a chainsaw and watch in shock at the trail of carnage he leaves.
Boone picked one up when I went into vault 3. I have that improved blood mod, you see where this is going
Does anyone else think that the REPCONN Rockets in FONV are just, ridiculous? I mean, the Delta IX rocket was pretty sweet looking, kinda reminds me of the V1 Flying Bomb. This looks like a 2 Year Old's Toy. I can't figure out how you equip more than one weapon at a time. I have to say that the user-interface in FO3 is quite shitty.
I can't figure out how you equip more than one weapon at a time. I have to say that the user-interface in FO3 is quite shitty.
Hold down a number key and then click on a weapon in your inventory.
I didn't even know you could...
Hold down a number key and then click on a weapon in your inventory.
hot-keying =/= equipping. unless he meant hot-keying.
Wow the Gun Runners are so anal about their stuff.
if anyone can extract the texture for the anti-materiel rifle i might get into skinning all the weapons to be 'clean' for gun runners however the most advanced piece of photo editing software i have is paint.net so it'll probably be shitty...

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35519 Cool, my mod has 3 endorsements now. I'm a high roller.
hot-keying =/= equipping. unless he meant hot-keying.
Yeah, I kinda ment hot-keying.
