a game
It's
an opinion
Seriously, get your head out of your ass. This is a discussion forum. We're allowed to voice our opinions. You don't need to point out the obvious fact that we're talking about a game every time someone says something.
Made a small mod that changes the DT and special values of the Merc Outfits. Makes them more usefu- er, less useless. 1 DT to a weight of 8 is pretty bad.

Adds unique stats to each one for a bit of roleplaying value.
Boone picked one up when I went into vault 3. I have that improved blood mod, you see where this is going
Yes, I think I do.

God damn, stupid game! Stop crashing at the last cutscene!
Does anyone else think that the REPCONN Rockets in FONV are just, ridiculous?
They are not real rockets. The ghouls use the rockets made for the shows. In other words, they are big toys.
Im dissappointed that there is no chinese assault rifle.
They could have put a stylized type-56 in the game.
There's no Chinese anything in NV (AR, pistol, sword). I guess the Chinese army never got that far Southwest.
Guess it makes sense they were in the Capital Wasteland what with the infiltration and paradropping into DC but you would of thought they would at least try to do something. Even so, the Chinese Assault Rifles are better than the American ones so why wouldn't wanderers bring a few with them?

There could be Chinese there though, because [sp]of the spy submarine that crashed off of the coast of Cali[/sp]

Is that the one you blow up in Point Lookout?
Is that the one you blow up in Point Lookout?
[sp]There was one that crashed in San Francisco too but it's not really seen, only mentioned. The one in Point Lookout is on the other side of the US so it's probably not likely they would get to NV from there.[/sp]

That would be a good argument for Devo's point about scavengers bringing AKs East from California. Even so, there would be what--a couple dozen of them in all of NCR territory? The Courier would probably still never encounter one, and Gun Runners wouldn't sell them since they couldn't get the schematics.
Is that the one you blow up in Point Lookout?
No. [sp]In Fallout 2, you could visit San Fransisco. It was occupied by Chinese, who were the descendants of spies from a spy submarine based off the coast.[/sp]

Hey guys, thinking about playing FO/FO2 now that I've beaten the shit out of NV (six characters, over 100 hours played, what the fuck am I doing with my life).
Which is better?
Chinese likely invasion plan:
1. Nuke EVERYTHING!
2. Attempt to land troops on West Coast (difficult due to US naval strength)
3. Send in troops through Alaska
4. Paradrop troops into DC and activate infiltration units to cut off the head of US operations
Chances are there will be a lot in Alaska, a fair few in DC but unless the West Coast invasion actually took place, there mightn't be hardly any on the West Coast.

Ah, cool. I haven't been to San Fransisco yet.

Fallout 2 is to Fallout 1 what New Vegas is to Fallout 3.
If you're interested in story, start with 1.
I like Fallout 1 more then 2.
I hope the next Fallout have some difference, but not too much or it might end up being uninteresting.
I want the Next Fallout to explore the Southern United States or FUCKING EUROPE AND CHINA
[editline]12th November 2010[/editline]
Jesus WE HAVE NO GODDAMN IDEA WHAT HAPPENED TO EUROPE HELL EVEN CHINA
I've had enough endless desert, I wanna go up to Canada and the Northern Americas. IIRC there's some kind of civilization up there and it'd make a half interesting storyline. Plus a nice frozen wasteland to explore.

Ah, yes. The Commonwealth. That would make an interesting faction to either work with or against.
America is a huge part of Fallout, it wouldn't work in other countries.
Well Canada was annexed by America so it would kind of make sense that there would be a lot more American propaganda around because they would have to convince the Canadians what they were doign was right rather than just their own loyal people.

Signed, they seem to have great scientists in the cybernetics sector, as Fallout 3 suggested.
Guys, check this out. It will be pretty informative about the game;

In Fallout 1 you start with a 10MM pistol and some ammo. In Fallout 2 you start with your fists and have to make your way through that FUCKING temple, and don't get a proper gun for ages. Fallout 2 is funnier though.
I wasn't a fan of Fallout 2's 4th wall breaking humor, but it was definitely harder in the beginning.
also you started out with a spear.

Temple wasn't hard, but most random encounters are a pain until you get better gear and a higher level.
And some of the dialogue options are great.
