I dont know where you live, but you cant buy dick in terms of good games here. If its not CoD, brand new, or some shit console game then you cant find it in stores.

Stop living in the boondocks.
Its not the boondocks. Its a large city, I think our retail outlets just suck. I dont bother looking for old gem games anymore. NO stores have them.
Might try walmart, like turd said. Next time (god forbid) I go to walmart.
Once I get the level 30 achievement i'm going to restart the game in hardcore mode. :smug:
Maybe not be so mean to NCR rangers though. I couldn't complete most quests because i'm shoot-on-sight with them.

I live in Oregon, and the only place you can get PC Games in my town is Fred Meyer's, I mean the section is fucking huge, but I don't know if Fred Meyer's exists outside the West Coast.

I found Mcarran Radio.
Thought it would be at Camp Mcarran
I remember putting it there, but then I decided to just put it on top of Camp McCarran since it was easier to remember. Must've forgotten to delete it. I'm pretty sure if you noclip on top of the terminal building from the sharecropper farms you'll find another one.

Fallout trilogy is readily available from Amazon here in the UK, however I have never seen it in stores. Shame.
I've seen the Fallout 1 & 2 pack in many stores. But I live in Finland so...
I'm pretty sure europe is much more PC game oriented. I'm probably just than the UK or US, definitely Germany.I'm probably talking outta my ass though.
So apparently New Vegas is a pioneer in its field. Why, you ask?
This is why:

[sp]They don't make a big deal about his sexuality.[/sp] No, really. That's why.
Veronica too.
that picture is broken.

Veronica is a lesbian, or at least bi. The fact that they mention this, yet nothing's made of it is in fact very progressive, there aren't many games, or even films where a gay character's sexuality isn't made a HUGE deal of.
There must be something in the Radiation that makes everyone gay, I don't think it's normal to have this many uses for Homosexual persuasion.

I like the way the game handles it, many countries do not make a big deal out of it, but the USA does, especially within the military. I blame religion and Westboro Baptist Church.

There's a reason they call Vegas "Sin City"
There's a reason they call Vegas "Sin City"
Are you implying that homosexuality is sinful?
:v:
Its not, but to a lot of people it is.
Are you implying that homosexuality is sinful?
:v:
According to Christianity it is.
Are you implying that homosexuality is sinful?

The bible (Hah!) says exactly that.

In American media if someone is gay you KNOW about it, and there WILL be a subplot about their gayness.
Fire Ax. Hunting Shotgun. Flamer. If only I named my character Pyro.
So I'm playing Fallout 2 and I'm running through the desert. Then I encounter some gang members. Aren't they supposed to attack me? Ah well whatever. So I get out of there and I encounter some aliens. They aren't hostile either and they walk around. Finally I encounter an enclave patrol and they just stare at me.
:wtc:
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
Holy fuck the enclave are like spazzing out with combat dialog.

And in Germany nobody cares, they have one as minister of foreign affairs. But then again about 60% of the people there are atheists anyway.

It's weird how a country that seems so progressive can have such irrational fears of WWII and violent video games.

Has this happened to any of you?

Because everyone will point with the finger at them if they show signs of intolerance, I think it's their burden they will have to carry the next few decades.
Anyway, Fallout does it right with breaking taboos.

Post apocalyptic world doesn't really have religions to abolish gay people. It kinda makes sense.
Hell, there might be a clan of people who think straight couples are for reproduction only and look down on all straight couples.
Feel free to use that in a mod if you want. v:v:v

Those are Wanamangos, aren't they?
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
And they are a massive bitch to kill in the beginning.
So apparently the Hoover Dam is out of Range for the NCR Emergency Radio.
I'm fucking stuck on top of the Vistor's building surrounded by zombies.
There needs a mod to increase its range.
The bible (Hah!) says exactly that.
Here we go again...

You must not have noticed every NCR dude mentioning God and all the crosses in the cemeteries (I think I also saw a priest somewhere, but I think that was in FO3). And that's just Christianity, not counting small cults.
I want to have some fun, so I've gone to the Gomorrah. Plenty of Omerta around, so I wanted to try some stealth gameplay. I pickpocketed the lower club key off one of the guards, then went up to the suites. I swiped a combat knife from a briefcase in one of the rooms.
Now, here's my problem:
I stealth kill the guy who is guarding the VIP elevator. I try walking around other guards, they're still neutral. So I guess no one noticed. I use the VIP elevator to get to a restricted zone (no one sees me). I sneak a few meters and go underground. I find some good loot there - a sniper rifle, flamer etc.
I quickly get back to the elevator and get back upstairs. Suddenly, everyone is hostile (well, they're friendly for a few seconds, then they point at me and start attacking). I have no idea why, I am absolutely sure no one saw me sneaking around in that club and no one saw me get into the VIP elevator. My knife is unequipped.
I want to steal those weapons without anyone noticing, but can't. Tried a few times already, no dice. Advice?
Bumping for anti-omniscient guards.
Does anyone know if this: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36646
