The only reason I go to the Nexus is because it`s really the biggest database of Fallout mods. You have to put up with its shit moderators and over sexualized content.
The question is WHY do people think they that Skinny Anmie chicks even belong in games like Fallout,Oblivion,Morrowind. Hell if I could goto Japan and find anyone who owns Oblivion,Morrowind,Fallout and break their PCs so they can't make anymore of these horrendous mods
Because the bodies are perfect in Fallout. All the girls are fit and got the curves to go with it, while every male, be it Joe Cobb or Easy Pete, are as fit as the females. One body for every character. Where are the fat characters? They can skin anything they want onto them and it fits perfectly. :frogsiren:
The popular content on the Nexus makes me sick.

I'm guessing someone will find a way to disable the Steam check from FOMM soon anyway. It's inevitable.
I'm guessing someone will find a way to disable the Steam check from FOMM soon anyway. It's inevitable.
There is already a method I don't know of, but people got banned there and had their posts <snipped> for telling it. Also it is stupid, the old version made by a different modder works still fine. Must have been the reason they've deleted it.
Did anyone else do all the quests on the Strip, return to Mr. House, and then realize [sp]that the NCR hates you all of the sudden for something you never meant to do for Mr. House?[/sp] I'm mad, now I have to work for the cocky computer know-it-all. I tried to be as neutral as possible, except with the Legion, kill on sight.
Here is the old "forked" New Vegas Mod Manager by KatzSmile that got deleted of the Nexus after the original modders Q and TimeSlip were thinking it would be great to install DRM into freeware tool: http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/downloads/44462-fallout-new-vegas/1266-utiles/30676-utile-new-vegas-mod-manager-01041.php
Am I the only one who is Idolized by almost everyone? I'm either Liked or Idolized, barring the Powder Gangers and the Legion, that is, everyone loves me. Everyone.

I need some help in Fallout 1. So I need to find that water purification chip, I've vistited that other Vault. Of course, there was nothing. Then I bought some water off the water merchants for the Vault. For now everything seems nice and I got myself some decent gear and did a lot of jobs and I have enough cash. Then I found a note which mentioned another Vault who might have a water purification chip. But I don't know where it is located.

author explains why the steam check is there.
RE all the comment about FOMM and Steam, and GPL violations and the like: Here is why FOMM does a Steam check: QUOTE Many complained (including mayself) about the FO:NV launcher, and wanted FO:NV to be launched directly, bypassing the launcher. To do so, an environment variable has to be set and falloutnv.exe called. However, in my testing, I found that, under certain circumstances when Steam was not already running, the attempt to start FO:NV would fail as Steam would hang while trying to load. In order to prevent this, I added a check to force Steam to start if it was not already running, thus preventing the deadlock scenario. Having said this, if Steam cannot be started, the latest version of FOMM merely warns the user that there may be problems starting FO:NV, but does not prevent the attempt. The check is not to enforce DRM: that's Valve's/Bethesda's job. I check for Steam because it is required for a specific feature, to prevent a bug. As such it in no way violates the GPL, as I am not attempting to forbid anything, but rather to enable something. That the something I am enabling requires Steam to be running is coincidental. Since Steam is part of the standard installation base for FO:NV, I assume everyone is using it, and so take advantage of the benefits it provides in order to attempt to give my users the best possible experience. Further, as Steam is part of the standard install, I feel no compunction to support non-standard configurations. I'm not going to go out of may way to break non-standard configs, but if it's a choice between adding a requested feature for standard configs that may not work on non-standard configs, then I will add the feature. If you choose to run a non-standard config, you cannot complain when yout try to use tools designed for said standard config.

public bool StartSteam(MainForm p_eeaArguments){ return true; }

author explains why the steam check is there.
Somehow I don't believe this guy, because FOMM always worked like a charm with the Steam version of Fallout 3 without these checks, so why the hell would he add this check for the New Vegas version of it? Both games use the same DRM on Steam, but for the Fallout 3 only version he can't put it in, as there was a retail version without Steam. That guy makes no sense.
If there is one website I wished would get attacked, is Nexus. 4chan should do it.
Somehow I don't believe this guy, because FOMM always worked like a charm with the Steam version of Fallout 3 without these checks, hy the hell would he add a check then for the New Vegas version of it? It's basically the same DRM and yet he puts in the "is Steam running check".
Probably because you could get FO3 legally without Steam.
Probably because you could get FO3 legally without Steam.
My point remains, the old Fo3 version of the tool worked without these checks with the Steam version. Yet he has to put it in for New Vegas, makes no sense.
