The way a corpse stumbles around for a moment before falling over when you shoot someone in the face in Red Dead Redemption.
Successfully evading police in GTA4 has a good feeling, big car chases, and actually using stealth to escape higher stars, feels cool to raise hell and quietly get away with it. In games like CSS or Team Fortress 2's arena mode, being the last alive on your team, something satisfying about feeling you're going to lose and all you're doing is bringing down as many enemies as possible with you, especially in those times you pull through and win against the odds with your team watching. Bringing down tanks, especially in a massed team firing. Actually I like massed volleys of gunfire in most games that allow for large amounts of gunfire, nice to see large groups or big things go down in a heartbeat. Also melee kills in Team Fortress, the Scout's bat and Heavy's KGB (time to quickly get the minigun spinning to unleash some death!)

BF2 when you manage to do a corkscrew and not land canopy first into the ground
Doing ninja defuses in Modern Warfare 2, and going all Rambo while leading the scoreboard with only a knife.
Beating a level in Super Meat Boy makes me have a screaming orgasm every time. [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] Also pushing people off ledges in GTA IV.
When I'm in an about even battle in Total War games and any moment your or your enemies troops might rout. Then all of the sudden you see one enemy unit rout which causes a chain reaction and you win the battle.
fast threads really hit the spot for me.
The flesh impact sound in Mount&Blade, especially when you're zooming by someone on a horse and shoot him in the face with an arrow.
This Especially for me because I suck at "ride-by" hits on M&B.
I also love the death screams the Combine let out when you kill them :D
i know something that is the complete opposite of what this thread is about, the sound that plays when a farm is depleted in age of empires 2. That sound has a direct connection to the stress hormones in my brain.
shi ho
When I'm being demoman in TF2, and airshotting someone with a grenade, or leading a whole half of their team into a good sticky bomb trap, do this on area for x10 the :smug:
The squelch of a ghoul's face exploding when it gets a fatal shotgun blow to the head.
Sniping enemies in Call of Duty 4. I just love the way I can stop the bad guy in his tracks. Too bad Blops isn't very sniper friendly. Also, watching bad guys go cartwheeling fifteen feet into air just because I shot them with a 9mm handgun in Fallout: New Vegas.
When you singlehandedly take down 5-6 special infected in versus in L4D. :D
Using pull then throw on an enemy in Mass Effect 2. So satisfying aiming it a bit lower than them so it curves upward and sends them flying towards the ceiling.
shotguns that is all
Successfully getting the slip on an enemy. It rarely happens due to most games being programmed to just spawn new enemies ahead of you and / or having enemies that automatically know where you are. I did it in Red Faction Guerrilla the other week. Got surrounded and trapped on one of those 3-story buildings in Eos by the EDF, max wanted level. Like 20 EDF Heavy Troopers and Special Forces outside waiting for me. I used the Nano Rifle to vapourise the floor below the stairs so they couldn't come up. During the battle and following stand-off, the building was severely damaged (to the point of shaking and creaking). So seeing that I needed to get out, I smashed a window, jetpacked to the adjacent 3rd story building, ran to the other side, smashed out that window, and jetpacked out the window into the hills, where I found a road and a car. Snatched the car, and took off. My wanted level dropped from Red (Highest) to Green (Lowest) in seconds. No EDF Soldiers saw me leave the building, so they stayed huddled around waiting for me to come out. It felt like I had actually, legitimately, outsmarted and alluded the enemy, something that rarely happens in a game.
Mirror's Edge, jump kicking cops off rooftops. So fun.
Mirror's Edge, doing anything
Sadly I never have any recording programs running in the background when something like that happens :saddowns:
Grand Theft Auto IV is a freaking goldmine of opportunities in this regard. The most epic car chase I've ever had.
Pulling off a smooth Silent Assassin rating in Hitman. Seriously, I feel like such a badass when I do levels right and finish them in less than 10 - 15 minutes without loading up saves.
The satisfying clicks and clacks when reloading a gun/operating it. DOD:S did a nice job of that. HL2's sounds were shit however.
Some of these have already been stated I guess but oh well, these are some ones that come to mind from recent adventures: Getting a close-range headshot as sniper in TF2 Beating a tough level in Super Meat Boy with A+ rating Getting bandages on tough levels in Super Meat Boy The sounds of meat boy walking and jumping in Super Meat Boy Basically everything in Super Meat Boy Beating a long level in Defense Grid with only 1 core remaining (and the core was 5 or so tiles away from the exit) Finding cool shit in the mines of Minecraft Lighting a Tank on fire in L4D2 or killing a smoker that latches onto me before I get close enough to be incapacitated (I just got L4D2 so this shit is kind of new to me) [editline]7th December 2010[/editline]
The satisfying clicks and clacks when reloading a gun/operating it. Throwing knives. Mostly in Metro 2033.
Using pull then throw on an enemy in Mass Effect 2. So satisfying aiming it a bit lower than them so it curves upward and sends them flying towards the ceiling.
Oh yeah I love just instaclearing rooms in ME by spamming abilities. Worked better in the first one though.
Playing a successful traitor round in TTT Seriously I don't see why that gamemode isn't more popular around here
Stimpacks Ahh yeah
Flying a black hawk loaded with a squad of your friends, cracking jokes on vent. (BF2)
When I finally do a good round of TF2. That means I don't die every ten seconds after spawning like an idiot. I just can't get used to how the game is played. I played way too much Black Ops(lol cal uf doody suckz) and Bad Company 2. [editline]12/7/10[/editline] I don't see what's so dumb about the post. I'm just saying that it's taking long for me to get used to TF2.
