We pity you.
Then I guess the rocks are at the pinnacle of enlightenment then. Get out of here ya fuckin gear lover. Organics rule the galaxy, not machines.
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/02/03/keep-your-mass-effect-3-saves-but-why/
Makes sense to me. Mass Effect 3 is merely the conclusion of Shepard's journey, not the end of Mass Effect itself. Any spinoffs taking place after the events in ME3 could have adjustments based on your personal story. Let's say, hypothetically, Thessia is destroyed (if that's possible). In YOUR universe, the Asari would have needed to find a new home. It might just be minor touches, but it would go a long way to making the Mass Effect universe continue to feel like it's YOURS.
An FPS camera in Mass Effect? Yes please
Fully FPS Including cutscenes.
Fully FPS Including cutscenes.
That "we can rebuild him, we have the technology" cutscene in ME2 would be weird in first person
That "we can rebuild him, we have the technology" cutscene in ME2 would be weird in first person
Some places with cinematic third person, but other than that all FPS. Dialogue, fighting, running around etc.
Taking cover would need third person.

Maybe detailing someone who stopped an early plot of the Reapers that would've already had them in complete control of galaxy by the time Shepard did his notable act.
Taking cover would need third person.
Not necessarily. Personally I'd love a game with cover mechanics in first person. Shit worked pretty well in killzone.
If there's going to be another ME game outside of Shepard, I'd like to play as an Elcor.
So I've been thinking about picking up a Mass Effect game for a while now, but I just have a question; should I get ME1 or ME2? I've just heard some better things about the second one, but will I be missing out on a large part of the story or anything?
Get both games. You won't regret it.
But if you absolutely have to pick, ME2's combat is faster paced. I don't know what the general concensus is, but I honestly think it's a better game all-around except for the story, to some people.

Get both, you won't regret it.
Is it wishful thinking, or do I remember reading about Elcor [sp]soldiers[/sp] in the leak? It's been a while since I read anything. That'll be the personal highlight for me.
Taking cover would need third person.
not necessarily [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline]
But if you absolutely have to pick, ME2's combat is faster paced. Replaying ME2, I find it odd just how much emphasis is being placed on "SUICIDE MISSION". ME1 did the whole "Race against time thing", and it worked, because there really was something at stake. But in ME2? Shit, colonists in the Terminus Systems are being abducted! It's a SUICIDE MISSION!
OP should add Jean Luc's High res texture mods into the useful links just saying
On it, but where is the link? :C

OH GOD RAMP UP THE DRAMA [editline]4th February 2012[/editline] As a whole, ME1 was a superior experience albeit with a lot of defects, ME2 was more faster and combat heavy but I didn't feel as drawn in than 1
Jack concept art. Looks like a mid-90s comic reator got their hands on her. Fucking pouches.
This looks horrible and I can't see "Jack's maturation" they are talking off. She looks even more like a rebellious teen now. Pathetic. At least it's just a concept art and the ingame version might be tasteful.
Let's say, hypothetically, Thessia is destroyed (if that's possible). [sp]Actually Thessia gets fucked up worse than Earth and Palaven. The Asari with their eternal arrogance finally suffer retaliation. Nonetheless I feel a little bit sad for Liara though, she's pretty distressed in the leaked plot about losing her homeworld.[/sp]
They somehow made her look like a stripper. Great characterization there. Who the hell would dress like that? "Oh, well, time to tape up my vagina. "

Garrus :respek: Wrex fuckin' bros
Another day on Tumblr: I like this more than I should.
Was messing around with Flycam a while back and snapped this. Mass Effect with an FPS camera and squad dynamics akin to Republic Commando? I'd play that. I'd play the hell out of it. [thumb]http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/4950/masseffectfps.jpg[/thumb]
The levels would need to be bigger and better than the corridor levels in Mass Effect 2 and the graphics need to be improved, especially the textures on your guns. I'm for it, but it won't work very well right now.
I think ME1 gets a lot of undue praise and ME2 gets a lot of undue criticism. ME1's story only got dramatic in the last quarter. You didn't know what was coming up, so you were just sort of playing it by ear with a vague indication of "stop saren and the Geth." ME2 had this big mission looming over you for the entire game. Every single moment in the game was preparing for this one thing you know you had to do: Go through the omega 4 relay, something which you came to dread but also be excited about. I think that was a lot more dramatic than ME1's story. Sure, overall ME1's plot was more important to the overall plot of the trilogy, but the way the story was handled in ME2 was better in my opinion. /devil's advocate.
No way, ME2's main plot wasn't near as atmospheric as ME1's. You see this when you remember moments like fighting your way to the citadel tower in the end. Only LotSB had such a moment when you were advancing on the hull of the ship in the storm clouds. I think a lot of people forget all these great moments from ME1, being the first time on Ilos, talking to Vigil, the breeding grounds on Virmire. Becoming a Spectre... seriously being a Spectre in ME2 meant shit, you were a complete tool. In ME1 you had a lot of these smug-ass moments doing anything. "I'm a spectre so back off." It's not people being nostalgic. When I play ME1 again I still enjoy it as much as back then when it was new. ITT: People have a bad memory. Edit: I enjoyed the daddy-issues loyalty quests in ME2 though. They were fun as hell but pointless as they didn't advance the main plot.
17'th normal, People with early access (Example if you bought BF3 first hand) get it on the 14'th
That's for Co-Op Demo. Everyone will get SP portion of Demo in 14th February. Except for XBOX360 players with non-gold accounts. They'll need to wait until 21st, since that's how Microsoft works.
I don't, the level design is atrocious compared to ME2. There's nothing intuitive about it, you have to literally check the map every few paces. Though this perhaps isn't an issue for someone like yourself who has played it so many times you've memorized the levels.
Don't know about you, but i remember checking the map maybe once or twice during my first playthrough

Though this perhaps isn't an issue for someone like yourself who has played it so many times you've memorized the levels.
Please come on, it's a game from 2007 and the other one is from 2010. Three years of brain-juice and improvements sure meant a lot. The whole engine was recycled and they fixed the crooked texture loading, but it's still the Unreal Engine 3 with minor but important changes. That's as fair as comparing Half-Life 1 with #2. ITT: Newer games look better than old ones.
