Considering that they're what indoctrinated humans look like I think they're important.
Indoctrination is a process that takes a longer time, husks are made from captured humans inside reapers- they used to be made by geth by the spikes, too
Will there only be CO-OP? No versus, deathmatch, team deathmatch or anything?
Co-op only brah. What sense would versus make in the middle of a galactic invasion by giant robot spaceships?
Co-op only brah. What sense would versus make in the middle of a galactic invasion by giant robot spaceships?
It doesn't necessarily have to be canon, it's just something for fun.
It doesn't necessarily have to be canon, it's just something for fun.
But we want it to be canon. That's exactly what we were worried about when they announced multiplayer.

Watching this trailer makes me think, "Holy shit, The Alliance and whatever the fuck the Turian fleets are called are badass."
i dont think its canon because how does shepard's strike squad get more members by opening boxes? were the krogan soldiers just hiding in boxes waiting to be bought by the alliance? [editline]20th February 2012[/editline] it must have been one big box for a krogan soldier to be in it

An interesting read: http://social.bioware.com/2553969/blog/211389
I remember reading that idea on /v/ a week ago, and I liked it.
Quarian engineer aww ye Just need Krogan and will have all the different races. I still need the Revenant, Widow and M-300 though :(
An interesting read: http://social.bioware.com/2553969/blog/211389
Wow, that does sound better that way.
If the people in question are as stupid as the Geth/Quarians then their loss probably benefits every other sentient being everywhere.
It's easy to objectively call the Quarians stupid because they're fighting a legitimately retarded war, but try and put yourself in their position. For your entire life, for countless generations, you and your species has been exiled from their homeworld and scorned by every other race in the galaxy, forced to live out meagre lives on a flotilla of ships that could at any point in time stop working and kill you and your entire family and so many others. You've been forced to wear exosuits that have completely destroyed your immune system and you can never touch or feel anyone ever again. Quarians are alone. Even when they're at their closest to each other, they're alone. And what do people in that position do? They lash out. At the thing that hurt them the most. What hurt them the most besides themselves? The Geth.
Wow, that does sound better that way.
I reckon Nihlus should still be your overseer with Saren appearing from time to time to check in and stuff, but yeah that sounds perfect.
It seems like an odd twist of fate that I'll probably enjoy the multiplayer way more than the singleplayer. The only thing I can confidently say they've improved is the gameplay, and the coop is really fun. The story looks to be one in which I'll play the game once and shelf it.
So if the Reapers are the peak of technology, then why do they need to go down to the surface of a planet to destroy it? Why not just destroy the planet from orbit?
I reckon Nihlus should still be your overseer with Saren appearing from time to time to check in and stuff, but yeah that sounds perfect.
I think having Saren as a prominent character some players would actually give a shit about would make his betrayal much more interesting
I suppose but Nihlus was such a bro ;_;
So if the Reapers are the peak of technology, then why do they need to go down to the surface of a planet to destroy it? Why not just destroy the planet from orbit?
Because they want the precious bodily fluids of those on the planet?

The Migrant Fleet is big, but the Geth occupy a massive region of space and could easily pump out a fleet that rivals anything the united organic species could have.
Because they want the precious bodily fluids of those on the planet?
Well then gas the entire planet. Sedate them all, and then take the bodily fluids. What is the point of a full charge attack, if the enemy can fight back? I thought the Reapers were suppose to be smart.
Well then gas the entire planet. Sedate them all, and then take the bodily fluids. What is the point of a full charge attack, if the enemy can fight back? I thought the Reapers were suppose to be smart.
Because it's videogame writing and supposed to be dramatic
Mass Effect fields prevents them from gassing the planet
An interesting read: http://social.bioware.com/2553969/blog/211389
That's so stolen of /v/. I read it before that bloke posted his version on BSN. I'll try to see if I still have the screens.
I remember reading that idea on /v/ a week ago, and I liked it.
So I'm not imagining that it originated there.
Because it's videogame writing and supposed to be dramatic
Kinda ruins the whole "Reapers are the smartest beings that have ever roamed the galaxy". Instead they go head on a planet firing lasers and shit.
Kinda ruins the whole "Reapers are the smartest beings that have ever roamed the galaxy". Instead they go head on a planet firing lasers and shit.
The overall plot writing has fallen off since 1 imo
This confirms both Geth and Husks as enemy races in addition to Cerberus. I'm guessing there'll be at least one other.
I didn't see any Geth in that trailer just a bunch of various reaper constructs and Cerberus...
I didn't see any Geth in that trailer just a bunch of various reaper constructs and Cerberus...
A guy executes a Geth in one bit
Kinda ruins the whole "Reapers are the smartest beings that have ever roamed the galaxy". Instead they go head on a planet firing lasers and shit.
Think of it this way, Shepard, or atleast, a human, had stopped their plans three times now. They want to destroy humanity, not just insta-kill them and be done with it, they could even be sending a message to all the other races, not just the present space faring ones what happens when you fuck with them. Or we could just go the cheap way, and remember that the Reapers think on a level immeasurably above our own.
