Gameplay? Yes it was worse admittedly. Story/feel of the universe, definitely no.
What I remember most about ME1 was the music. It felt way more scifi-ish than ME2 and helped make the whole game feel that way.
Also, playing through ME1 again made me remember the hilarious skintight onesie pajama armor.

Right, I have a good two and a half weeks. I do WANT to replay ME1 and ME2 before ME3 again, trying to remember what decision I made but it feels like it will be a grind, like i'll try to rush through it.
Seeing as I last played these a year ago, I could try and remember who I killed, etc.. should that be my final save for ME3 or just playthrough to refresh memory, but use original save a year ago for the new game?

I love the thing too, but I'm a Krogan that just smashes the fuck out of everything. I only use the Carnifex when I need to defend an objective or when I encounter a couple of Guardians, to which then they reach their demise with a bullet through the slit of their shield. Thus results in their heads exploding.
So I go to the store and buy myself a Veteran pack in hopes of unlocking a new character. The system goes full retard and doesn't process my purchase. Worst thing of all, it doesn't refund me my credits.

Nope, 1280x720/60fps uncompressed on fraps, compressing at quality 7 on Xivd plugin.
You guys need to stop getting annoyed that you don't get something good in every pack.. it's about luck.
I play FIFA Ultimate Team which is another EA thing like this where you open packs, except because of how big it is you can use real money. If you got something great in EVERY pack, it would get boring. Yes, it would if you got nothing, but nothing beats the thrill of finally getting something after trying for ages.

I need some advice. I recorded at my native resolution - 1680x1050 but the video cuts off or has border when I render at 1280x720. Now I do video editing, but i'm guessing I would have to play and record at 1280x720? Unless I get a monitor that supports 1920x1080 so I can record and render at 1080.
1680x1050 isn't a 16:9 resolution. 320, 480, 720, and 1080 is. That's why you're getting borders and video cut-off.

Beat my first gold match. Never seen so many Atlas and Phantoms at once. My Asari adept kept the team alive, kept spamming stasis and using warp/throw biotic explosions.

I have to imagine Stasis would be extremely helpful at keeping Phantoms at bay. Definitely a strategy I'll try in the future.

Stasis completely freezes them and after it ends they rag-doll, so you can easily fling them with other biotics, hit them with fire, or stasis freeze again and pour on more fire.
