I think only when he sees him in the vent is a Hallucination caused by the reapers to make him feel sad. The way the kid sounds and speaks just felt off
Not to mention there is no way he would survive when that room gets blasted by the Reaper laser.

The way the kid sounds and speaks just felt off
Probably because Bioware is shit at writing. I think you're giving them a bit too much credit by assuming that they would use deep metaphors.
Maybe the kid survived being totally obliterated by the laser. Fan service.
Bioware shit at writing? Ummm, no... Not usually anyway.
A lot of the writing I've seen in the leak and a bit in the demo wasn't too good
Probably because Bioware is shit at writing. Though, I can't tell if the theme of daddy issues in ME2 was coincidental or intentional.
A lot of the writing I've seen in the leak and a bit in the demo wasn't too good
Yeah, well that is your opinion.
I was there, when the bombs dropped.
Just for you.
Option 1: Character is vitally important to plot in which case the day 1 dlc is bullshit. Option 2: The character isn't important to the plot when the lore states they should be INCREDIBLY GROUNDBREAKINGLY IMPORTANT, and are just tossed aside like some gun for fucking hire. There's no way out of this. Bioware fucked up (probably due to EA being dicks but still)
Actually there is a way out of this: if the squadmember is actually an important part of the story and included in the game without the DLC, but just isn't someone you can recruit for your squad like this. The DLC then would allow you to do a mission for them to make them a squad member. Still a dick move, but better than the current thought that it's a plot critical element of the game you have to buy as DLC, or making such a plot critical revelation not matter at all by making it just side-DLC.
Am I the only one concerned about that client side crate thing in the main game?

Anyone know if it's possible to edit a file in Mass Effect 2 to make a planet / planets have unlimited resources for probing and give you all 4 when you launch one? I've thought of making a super motherlode planet for a while but I don't know if it's possible.

Use ME2 Mod Manager with this file here and you're set.
Anyone know of a save editor which lets me edit Mass Effect 2 events? The gibbed's one only allows editing of events from the first one. I only have one playthrough on my PC (ugh like 6 on my xbox but I really don't want to buy two copies) and I want to only change that I save the collector base, and that I romance Miranda.
I just heard the [sp]Protheans[/sp] voice for the first time. I can't possibly have a conversation without laughing.
I just heard the [sp]Protheans[/sp] voice for the first time. I can't possibly have a conversation without laughing.
It isn't that bad, I listened to it for the first time today and was expecting Sebastian from the Little Mermaid. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it wasn't laughable. It hardly sounds Jamaican like so many people say.
http://masseffect.com/space Try and catch some early Mass Effect 3
I live across the country from both US ones. Florida :<
Hopin it goes toward New Jersey Fun little promo though, even if I don't win
No love for Australia but still sounds fun
Hopefully that New York one somehow ends up all the way down here in Maryland. It'll probably just end up lost at sea.
No love for Australia but still sounds fun
Alter the direction!
For multiplayer, should I unlock like 4 recruit packs or one veteran pack?
For multiplayer, should I unlock like 4 recruit packs or one veteran pack?
If you want human classes, recruit packs. If you want cool shit, veteran pack.
It isn't that bad, I listened to it for the first time today and was expecting Sebastian from the Little Mermaid. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it wasn't laughable. It hardly sounds Jamaican like so many people say.
To be honest, I think it sounds pretty cool (when he says "Every war has its traitors" for example, sounds pretty cool). To me it's only humorous because you have all the shouting lines put together to make him sound demanding and aggressive all at once. Other than that, he does seem to have the potential to sounds pretty badass. Plus, it's nice to have some variety in the accents (like Donovan Hock's Afrikaans accent for instance).
So I've got two playthroughs I plan to import to ME3. My Infiltrator, who I MIGHT change to an Adept after seeing what those fuckers can do in MP, and my Soldier. Infiltrator is done. Pretty sure I've gotten him to 100%. Soldier is about 1/4 of the way through the game. Hoping I can finish him before March 6th. Thing is, from what I hear, there's going to be a [sp]War between the Quarians and Geth in ME3 and you have to side with one or the other[/sp]. I love both of those races. I don't want either to be wiped out. On my Infiltrator, he's normally a Renegade. But Overlord... well, I couldn't do that to David. I took the Paragon options. I feel that maybe now, knowing about [sp]what happens between the Geth and Quarians in ME3, that may have been a mistake.[/sp] As horrible of a thing it is, on my Soldier I'm going to let Archer keep David, and continue his work. It may prove immensely useful. I can't risk not having at least one playthrough with it.
If you want human classes, recruit packs. If you want cool shit, veteran pack.
well that doesn't help much, I dunno if I want human classes, do I? Do I want cool shit? probably?
