Dare to look at it and discuss.[/QUOTE]
Saw it a few days ago and my response remains the same: Awesome.
Can't wait to see how it works and how it exists.

[QUOTE=Goldenboy;34560479]I dare not click the ultra-spoilers.
Ugh, confirmation that they've not changed Tali's model though. That's annoying.
Also, shame they got rid of Vega's war paint. Would have been a nice little touch in the field.[/QUOTE]
Eh, I'm not sure it was necessary to change Tali's outfit. Envirosuits are probably a limited commodity, and her old one served her just fine as well as providing a visual indicator of increased maturity.
Agreed, looks like when they reveal it, it will be one of the best moments in the series. Similar to how the showed the Citadel in the first game.
[QUOTE=Goldenboy;34560393][i]'Kid stopped the Reapers once before, fancies another crack at it. Makes his way to the Citadel, were all folks agreed to go in times of trouble.'[/i][/QUOTE]
I couldn't even bother finishing Bastion but that narrator was god tier

Also for the love of god, remove that deus ex machina link. Some asshole is going to img tag it.
I had just seen those concept arts yesterday. Wish the Tali/Shepard gif was large enough to read...
[sp]The best way that I see The Crucible working out, is if they use it on a large cluster of Reapers dealing a heavy blow, then swoop in with the combined fleets of the galaxy and by the end of the day only a handful of Reapers remain and retreat where they flee to uncharted worlds biding their time and trying to rebuild. The galaxy knows of the Reaper's existence, their threat being heavily reduced, and the franchise lives on.[/sp]

Oh I don't think it was necessary, it's just that the total re-use of ME2 models and textures makes BioWare seem lazy. Liara & Mordin for example are wearing the same outfits six months later? And it's probably a safe bet that most of the ME2 squad will also look identical, no?
Just would have been nice to see them have a fresh texture, if only to indicate the passage of time. Hell, shove Mordin in his loyalty outfit and I'd have been satisfied.

[sp]I can see something like that happening, so that the Reapers are not defeated forever (easy recurring villains for the future installments).[/sp]
Looked at the concept art for EDI. Not impressed.
@Ben Wolfe:
[sp]I don't know if I seriously want them to retreat after we use the crucible. It seems to be a particle weapon of some kind. Might be something like an EMP. Better all old machines fry for good.[/sp]

[sp]The leaked plot implies you can use it in different manners through the catalyst interace.[/sp]

[sp]I'd say it would obliterate a good chunk/all of the Reaper fleets on Earth, but unless it somehow effects all Reapers throughout the galaxy, then I'd say some Reapers ships will survive and go underground and attempt to rebuild[/sp]
Who knows. The wait is killing me.

As long as it's treated fairly [sp]as a machine's desire to be human a la Bicentennial Man or... Data (from Star Trek) rather than jumping into the sexual fantasies and awkward Joker-EDI romance[/sp] I'd be fine. More or less.
Just finished ME1. Dont remeber, was it my 5 or 6 time.
[sp]The battle for Citadel is much more epic than the crap in the ME2, imo[/sp]
Time to prepare my Shepard for the final game.

[sp] Pretty sure it is completely treated like that (desire to be human) as all of her conversations with the player are about that. [/sp]
[sp] Well, I think think the Joker/EDI is a given, but if she did act like Data, I might be fine with it. Still, the way they made her look (or at least how she looks in the concept art) just makes her look like a sex-bot. [/sp] I don't know. At least Garrus is look as sexy as ever.

I think Mass Effect 2's ending is epic in a different way. In the first game, everything had been building up to that moment, we had experienced our revelations (Sovereign and Vigil), and we knew what to expect. We KNEW we had to take down Saren and Sovereign, and we knew that we would likely succeed.
Mass Effect 2 may not have had such a revelatory ending, but it had something extra going for it: On your first playthrough, you realize that there's the very real possibility some or all of your squad could be killed. Permanently. Because of this knowledge, Mass Effect 2's ending got my adrenaline pumping more than any game I've ever played.
> Bioware implying anyone would be stupid enough to let your team die
That's why most of the ME2 squadmates only have cameos in ME3. I think [sp]Wrex will leave you after the Sur'Kesh mission and only appear again in a small diplomatic meeting. If he's dead you'll have more trouble to convince the salarians / krogans but ultimatively win though.[/sp]
[QUOTE=Wulfram;34558325][sp]What if the vision that Shepard got from the Beacon wasn't a vision of the Prothean's destruction, but the race that had preceded them, which the Protheans had learned about and stored in the beacon as a warning. The statues on Illos could've then been also of that same race, and the Protheans were just studying the ruins, similarly to how the humans on Feros were studying the ruins there. Were the tentacle faced statues at any other "Prothean" ruins, or just the ones on Illos?[/sp][/QUOTE]
If a movie started doing this people'd flip out (the Star Wars prequels with Midichlorians come to mind,) Bioware's just altering stuff and slapping a "we told you it was this way, but it [B]really is[/B] this way!" because they wrote themselves into a corner and are trying desperately to find a way out of it.

I have a feeling they intended the tentacle faced statues to be what the Protheans looked like, but then someone had the idea for the Collectors and they wanted them to be all bug like, so they did that then came up with the idea for them to be whats left of the Protheans, but forgot their original idea and are now stuck.

I remember on my first play through, I sat at every decision during the Collector Base thinking and rationalizing the best choice for each task. And everyone survived.

[sp]Collectors were extensively genetically modified protheans.
They don't look anything like what they looked like before the reapers fucked their butts[/sp]

Mine went the same say. Certainly didn't stop me from muttering "fuckfuckfuckfuck" under my breath here and there :v:
I wonder will they finally show Tali's face. I remember they were saying they aren't sure yet how to proceed with it.
Pretty Sure they're not showing it.

With the exception of a few squadmates, I think I wouldn't have been upset at all if some of the team died.
It's odd that I felt a bigger need to save the crew then Grunt or Jack.

My face when Miranda took one to the stomach during the second fireteam wasn't pretty. Until she got up.

There won't be a face reveal and there is none in the leaked plot.

I had Garrus for that the first time 'round. My heart had stopped. :v:

I picked Zaeed as the leader of Fire Team 1.
Tali died.

My first play through I picked Zaeed for the same thing and Jacob died. I was glad. His waistline offended me.
