Mass Effect 2 may not have had such a revelatory ending, but it had something extra going for it: On your first playthrough, you realize that there's the very real possibility some or all of your squad could be killed. Permanently. Because of this knowledge, Mass Effect 2's ending got my adrenaline pumping more than any game I've ever played.
And yet the suicide mission turns out to be nothing more than a cheap thrill to sideline all my favorite characters in the final game. Not worth it.

[sp]So Bioware's gone and made EDI into a fembot now? Let me guess... Bioware's gonna put Joker and EDI into a relationship together out of pure fanservice for the same faggots who have a Tali fetish.
Right?[/sp]
Where have you been?

[sp]If you read the info box it says her body was from an 'infiltration unit' which used to have skin on it, like the Terminators from.. well Terminator, thats why its feminine, it was meant to blend in with humans, not just to be robotic.
I believe the line in the "voice actor" trailer where Joker says something along the lines of her "installing" herself is reference to the body[/sp]

[sp]It's pretty damn unconvincing if that thing is supposed to be mistaken for a human being. [/sp]

[sp]Really? I think if it had some flesh on it it'd look pretty human. Maybe a bit supermodel-esque, but certainly not unconvincing.[/sp]
Ok, when I played ME1 I fucked up good by not finishing some missiones before the part in wich you couldn't enter to the Citadel again and by not buying the licenses to buy stuff.
Don't want to make the same mistake again, is there something similar in ME2?, like a no-return point to finish missions or something that I can't buy after something happens?

[sp]From what we've seen concerning the women in Mass Effect 3, I'm certain she'd have fit right in[/sp] :v:

Well, The mission where you go after the IFF is kinda like that. After that you should basically do Legions loyalty missions and then go through the Relay
They were always completely assumed to be Protheans, considering on Illos you saw their statues.
To be completely fair, they're an ancient race, the world of ME barely knows shit about them, and the game never directly says those ARE the Protheans.
[editline]5th February 2012[/editline]
Than again, you do talk to a hologram in ME1 (I think?) which kind of implies it.
So who knows, maybe its a massive retcon or not, Bioware your writing is 2deep4us
Seems like the game does pretty much say they are Protheans - one of the visions shows the Squid-like Aliens becoming the Collectors. Never noticed it before. Either that or it's a very lazy artist.

[sp]That doesn't deny the squidy people being a different sub-species of the protheans. Think about it, would there be many of the soldier ones at a place like Illos? It's a lab, not a military base.
It'd be like putting a statue of Rambo at MIT.[/sp]
Everyone watch out, the complete ending was posted as image story on /v/.

You're gonna say that and not pass a brother a link?
Thread ain't up, and I don't go past the second page.
I thought it was better not to hotlink anything here. PM'ed it.
Its out of context, kind of bias and basically everything you knew already.
Unless its not that blue one that has all kinds of porn images at the end of it :v:

I highly doubt context will fix the major problems in the ending.
Everyone watch out, the complete ending was posted as image story on /v/.
How do people get their hands on this kind of stuff anyway?
I highly doubt context will fix the major problems in the ending.
You don't say.
How do people get their hands on this kind of stuff anyway?
It looks to be made with info from the leak that's been out for months.
No real new information. Not that it makes the endings any better.
PM'ed it.
Appreciate it
I highly doubt context will fix the major problems in the ending.
Is the ending just as it was given out in the leak? I remember plenty of people claiming the leak's problems was that it was an "early, probably incomplete" copy of the game, and I'm just curious to know if this is true.
I highly doubt context will fix the major problems in the ending.
I'm sure context, proper explanation, and actually playing the final product is much better than going off of leaks that are possibly old and shit.
Bioware might not be the best, but I'm willing to give them a chance, ME1-ME2 had decent writing and I doubt ME3 will fail in this regard.

Well, from the info there, it seems to be just the leak, not the actual game.
I don't own BF3 and am not entitled to early access, but I will play co-op with anyone here once the public MP gets opened. Until then I'll stick to the SP demo.
And Jean-Luc said something about demo access at the 10th? I hope the SP part leaks like the DA2 demo. I mean it's a free demo, no harm in that?

I'll possibly join in sometime.
This thread could do with a lot less ruined FOREVER hyperbole.
Nevermind, however I recently came up with a question regarding the plot:
In Mass Effect 1 you block off the Citadel's signal with the Prothean software from Vigil. How do the reapers even know Sovereign failed? I'm sure they all were still hibernating to save their energy. Then the Collectors happened, why do they suddenly attack? After all ME2 made it look like the reapers finally came, because Shep blew up the collector base. Did the plot went haywire or is my memory missing a piece of the puzzle?

Pretty sure the game mentions the Reapers would have noticed it has been too long, (and obviously why wouldn't they notice that is been so long for their vanguard Sovereign.). They were also travelling at the end of ME2's plot, and seeing as by the time of Arrival/ME3 I suppose implies they been doing so for awhile.
