I havn't been keeping up with ME3 news much. Whats the situation with the squaddies? Are we still stuck with only the super lame ME1 characters? please tell me were not.... PLEASE.

I would have liked a different hairstyle but it just seemed like that one sucked the least (they all suck, i have no idea why bioware gave us such shitty hairstyles). Hopefully ME3 has better hairstyles.
A thread that popped up on BSN (I know) reminded me of that DLC character in the collector's edition. How would you guys feel if
HOLY FUCK DON'T CLICK UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR SHIT RUINED
[sp]the prothean actually is a DLC character? I mean, they accidentally let it slip that the collector's edition came with the prothean. They denied everything and now it just says "exclusive character." To add to that, the prothean apparently isn't even important to the story. I even have the collector's edition pre-ordered, and I'd be fucking livid for so many reasons if that were true.[/sp]
[sp]It may be, it may be not. Tbh, I'm feeling kinda nihilistic towards the character because[/sp]

[sp]If I recall, the prothean was born long after the reapers started reaping. He apparently hasn't even seen the citadel before. He doesn't seem to be anything more than a common soldier.
But I'd be more pissed that they decided such a DLC a YEAR or more in advance AND that they put more effort into a DLC character than any of my favorite squadmates from previous games. [/sp]

Reminds me of my DAII guy, only mine had huuuuge sideburns and two chins and is thus infinitely better

(Squad spoilers) [sp]Not a single character created in ME2 rejoins the team [/sp]

No way. Th-they wouldn't be that stupid...surely not? Making [sp] the last motherfucking prothean an unimportant DLC character[/sp]???

Noooooooooooooooo
Welp, Liara & Garrus entire playthrough it is.
Those were cool, but I think Lair of the Shadow Broker's excellence comes from having some of the best character writing we've seen to date in the Mass Effect series. Lair of the Shadow Broker took Liara from one my least favorite characters to one of my most favorite.

The rumor mills up and running and I defiantly stand awaiting the game for confirmations.

I'm okay with this as long as they have their moments in their cameo appearances or if you get to fight along side them temporarily.
ME2: We are going to build the ultimate team
ME3:[sp]Yeah fuck that team of specialists just have this roidtard join you[/sp]
[sp]It doesn't even make any sense. Why does a team of special operatives chosen to fight, that are fully aware of the reaper threat, just go "Yeah I have better things to do" in the finale?[/sp]

That's because Bioware can't take the time to write a branching story that accounts for all the possibilities of different playthroughs.

And they figured it worked for ME1 to ME2, so why not ME2 to ME3?
for some squadmates in ME2 there's really no excuse for them not joining you any more. Grunt in particular springs to mind, you're his battlemaster, his Krannt (or whatever the Krogan thing was), Wrex's absence is understandable because he's leading the Krogan, Grunt is exactly what we need in the team (instead we get a puny human).

Legion should stick around because he's obsessed with you. He's like a Geth Conrad.

Conrad would easily make the better companion.
He'd will the bullets away from you and towards himself.
"You've tested this right? Tell me you've tested it."
"Enemies on the right!"
"LIARA! TELL ME YOU'VE TESTED IT."
"Not now, Shepard!"
"Don't you miss the days when you could just rub Omni-Gel on everything?"
Solid gold.
If you crash into a few cars in the car chase Shepard will mention the bad controls and Liara will say it's better than the Mako.
Solid Platinum

Even if he's accepted back, there'll always be a hole in him only Shepard can fill.

[sp]Miranda/Jacob: Both resented TIM wanting the base, why would they leave Shepard?
Jack: Plausible but still not likely she would leave
Mordin: Plausible but unlikely considering how he took the collectors as a near personal offense
Samara: Probably because she was only tasked with fighting the collectors but that can be argued
Thane: I don't see why he wouldn't want to continue to fight the reapers
Legion: Would stick around
Grunt: No reason to leave[/sp]

[sp]The one thing I don't buy is the crew. The leak states that they all went back to Cerberus (with Gabby & Ken sneaking away), which is TOTAL bullshit, considering that all the crew make it very clear that post Collector base, they're loyal to you, not Cerberus. And given that Joker is still your helmsman, it's pretty clear the Alliance is forgiving of former operatives.
Along with your crew, Miranda, Jacob & Garrus should absolutely still be aboard at the least. I'd be extremely surprised if Garrus wasn't a squadmate from the very start. I could also see Kasumi sticking around, if only due to her greybox's data.
I understand Thane & Mordin's absence due to research, and I can assume Grunt, Legion & Tali would leave to help their respective races prepare for the invasion. The rest...if it's well-explained, I'm cool.[/sp]
Yeah, especially [sp]Grunt. He has NO ONE ELSE, where the fuck would he go?[/sp]

I imagine he and Wrex have a Shepard/Garrus like dynamic.
It's like the SCP foundation in here.

That mission on omega sounds rather dead space-ish
Hoping to god that list is still a major WIP.
As in, we haven't found any leaked material saying which locations we can visit in the game, so this is what we have so far.
Yeah, we still don't know lot of locations.
