Also, he beat the game, side missions and all for the best ending, in 23 hours. Not sure what difficulty however.

Guys, i bought ME1. Played the first five hours, but just got fed up with the game. I dont know why, maybe because the strange combat style, thats incredibly hard to kill someone when its incredibly easy for you to be killed. Should I give up? It gets better? The story makes it bearable?
