You can only get refunded with in-store credit? I think people would rather have a cash refund, so they don't have to buy the game again.
I think that the whole store-credit thing involves them wanting you to buy from them again some day, though I dunno if apology has anything to do with it. Pretty sure it's a ploy to try and retain a customer after an incident.
Tali is obviously Italian, the Flotilla is obviously the space-mafia. The end. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] If anything the spoilers have only made me more hyped and even after going through loads of them I still don't know the story any better.
Okay... I'll just pretend that makes sense in our little universe here
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-29-revealed-games-memo-to-staff-on-mass-effect-3-cancellation
Eurogamer has been sent the internal memo emailed to GAME and Gamestation staff this morning which broke the news that the company will not be stocking Mass Effect 3 at any of its stores. The first half of the email is for store managers explaining the situation, while the latter includes a list of instructions for how to break the news to pre-order customers who have already given GAME their money. GAME will not stock EA titles as the company is "committed to only stocking products on which we could get the right credit terms", something it has apparently failed to do for Mass Effect 3. As a "gesture of goodwill", customers will be able to claim £5 worth of Reward Points and a full refund - although previous information provided to Eurogamer suggests this refund will be store credit, not cash. The memo also states that the company will not take any further deposits or pre-orders for forthcoming EA titles FIFA Street, Tiger Woods 13 and Sims 3 Showtime.
This includes the N7 Collector's Edition I pre-ordered mine from GAME. God-fucking-dammit
Seeing as game is going be cancelling everyones pre-order a week before the game is out, what am i meant to do for the pre-order bonuses? It's unlikely anywhere else will have the Defender armour pack. Is it just in-store pre-orders, or is it online ones aswell?

Oh that's hilarious. They take your money, knowing that this might happen, and then "refund" you which is them basically keeping it anyway by giving you store credit (possibly).
this review screams dodgey to me he used literally nothing but footage from other videos already on the web and all his other videos have like 12 views, how could this guy get an early copy
A lot of people got early copies in raffles and such. And he has it on Xbox 360, maybe he doesn't have a capture card. That shit's expensive. In which case his footage is very understandable. A lot of people do indie reviews and they don't get a lot of views. I believe he got an early copy, I just don't know how good his review actually is.
Oh that's hilarious. They take your money, knowing that this might happen, and then basically keep it anyway by giving you store credit (possibly).
Are they even allowed to do that? It's basically Taking peoples money, not providing what they paid for and then not refunding them.
Are they even allowed to do that? It's basically Taking peoples money, not providing what they paid for and then not refunding them.
Completely legal by all means. They get money, give you some shitty game instead of your Mass Effect 3 and get richer in the progress. Not nice, but still legal
Hey UK peoples with pre-orders from Game you better check this out http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-29-game-not-stocking-mass-effect-3-or-ea-games-past-ssx It's not clear whether this affects online preorders but as the previously exclusive N7 edition is now up on both Play and Zavvi (and allegedly will be on Amazon and ShoptoNet later) it seems likely you might need to re-order
Wish I ordered from GAME now, although with that shop they overprice by £10 so you're pretty much losing a fiver than gaining one.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-29-revealed-games-memo-to-staff-on-mass-effect-3-cancellation This includes the N7 Collector's Edition I pre-ordered mine from GAME. God-fucking-dammit
New cheapest is from ShoptoNet or even less from The Hut/Zavvi if you have a voucher. I re-ordered again from Zavvi and have contacted Game to see if they would still be fulfilling my order, at a complete guess I would not expect them to be stocking it online but not retail and the fact the N7 was exclusive to Game but has now come up on at least 3 other sites makes me think they will not be fulfilling orders of it. As for the Defender armour/weapon it may be worth contacting EA via Origin support if your reorder does not contain them and explaining your position, they seem to be quite good at fixing stuff like that (had an issue activating retail Bulletstorm Special Edition on Origin)
From what I've heard it's only the in-store pre-orders
I seriously hope so. I don't want to miss out on the collectors edition. If i wait, and they do cancel it, it might be too late to buy it elsewhere - and no where else mentions pre-order bonuses.

It took them a while to provide info about the pre-orders when it was first announced. If i cancel my online GAME pre-order myself, will they not give me the reward points?
My hate for GAME has reached a whole new level. ME3 was going to be my last order from them because they were the only retailer selling the CE and now they can't even deliver that. What a bunch of cunts.

There is a screen cap going around /v/ showing GAME aimed to keep a deal with EA going but explained they can't make a deal with any company that requires them to use credit and EA were unwilling to budge. They did this because they need to hold every company to the same standards and unfortunately, that's what has to happen. It was an unfortunate necessity which will probably kill them.
Don't know, hopefully we will still get the rewards points even if we cancel the orders, like, now
Why would you even want the points? GAME are one of the worst retailers both online and on the highstreet: their prices are generally higher than everyone else; their delivery service never gets games to you on release day anymore; and shit like this is becoming an increasingly common occurrence.
plus aren't they really bad with PC games, and try to stop them being sold on Steam in the UK?
It was never proven to be GAME, but considering how frequently they buy exclusivity rights it was most likely them.
Would you people stop discussing the ending of the game, spoiler tagged or not? I can't help clicking those stupid black boxes and it's ruining the game for me ):
Abandon thread like any sane man. Also the Atlas hijacking looks boss.
The only thing I want improved on the Normandy is the crew, I want them to be moving around and not just sitting or standing idly, and is it just me or did the Normandy's lights get dimmer?
I didn't even notice whatever that was and not gonna click that or rewatch it now.
Did anyone notice the new "Enemies everywhere" will be a Cerberus guy saying constantly: "Taking casualties!" Cannot unhear after playing MP and SP.
