Oh boy already black bars everywhere. Not even playable yet.
If EA has any sense the files will be encrypted on the disk, and can only be unlocked on release day. See: Steam encryption.
Possible I suppose, but that's been cracked before. Although even best case, it means that a crack will be ready by middday on launch, rather than 9am the day after launch.
What the actual fuck, GAME just cancelled my Collector's Edition pre-order for no apparent reason. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] Oh.
That's it, i'm out of the internet for a week. Can't afford to risk them spoilers. As soon as a working crack hits I am staying the FUCK away from the internet for 9 days till I finish Mass Effect 3 on March 9th / March 10th.
What about the stream? :'(
Possible I suppose, but that's been cracked before. Although even best case, it means that a crack will be ready by middday on launch, rather than 9am the day after launch.
Has a Steamworks game actually been cracked before release? I haven't heard of that.
Oh well, it's cheaper on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B007ETFSDO
I had a chat with the manager in my local GAME store, he said that GAME only has a problem with Electronic Arts - GAME negotiated with all the other publishers about a lack of money to buy in stock, and they agreed to allow GAME to defer payment for stock. Apparently Sony even agreed to subsidise the PS Vita simply because GAME was the only retailer who had the best relationship with consumers. EA however had a long-standing policy about not allowing retailers to buy stock in with insurance Essentially, this means that you should be annoyed with EA, not GAME
Judging Google Finance and Wall Street Journal they rather care about their money. You don't just lose -33% stock market value in four months for no apparent reason.
Holy shit that's quite a bit of a dive in value. I wonder what caused this?
Holy shit that's quite a bit of a dive in value. I wonder what caused this?
TOR, probably.
Has a Steamworks game actually been cracked before release? I haven't heard of that.
Steamworks? No, not to my knowledge (maybe DX:HR? I Forget.) But I have no idea whether or not Origin operates like Steamworks or not. EDIT:Oops, when I said 'has been cracked before', I was referring to DRM in general -prior- to release date, not Steamworks. Sorry!
If EA has any sense the files will be encrypted on the disk, and can only be unlocked on release day. See: Steam encryption.
EA has no time on such miserable things. Main goal is MONEH. Even the story with Sims 3 (in which RELOADED stole and cracked pre-release edition) haven't taught them a lesson.

I don't know why there's hate for GAME that there is, I've always found their customer service the best I've ever dealt with.

I don't think a single game using Steam encryption (IE Steamworks) has been cracked before it's out. Valve is pretty good with day 0 piracy, and EA will be very stupid if they don't take note. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] Huh, just noticed that on the maleshep ME3 cover he has the ME2 scars. So does this mean they DO carry over?
Huh, just noticed that on the maleshep ME3 cover he has the ME2 scars. So does this mean they DO carry over?
Yup, scars do carry over. I'm guessing they're a bonus of sorts for imported characters, since I don't think you can actually get them from scratch during ME.
-snip-
TOR, probably.
Ah yes, that makes sense. MMOs are risky business after all; they're expensive to develop, and if they flop it's a major blow financially.
Spoilers everywhere, whole game is about to be leaked, all it takes is one dickhead shouting [sp]"SHEPARD TURNS OUT TO BE A NAZI SPY"[/sp] or something and the whole game is ruined.
Jesus man, spoiler-tag that shit.

A different version of the Normandy SR2A tour, done by CVG. Seriously you need to watch this, they even blurred out spoilers and don't show [sp]EDI all that much.[/sp]
NO SPOILERS MY ARSe, THAT SHOWED THE FUCKING [sp]EDI ROBOT[/sp]
You're a little exaggerating, all you can see is the feet.
NO SPOILERS MY ARSe, THAT SHOWED THE FUCKING [sp]EDI ROBOT[/sp]
Dude, I'm sensitive against spoilers, and I aint shitting my face off. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER MANNE
The second I get my copy of Metal Gear Solid HD collection or SSX from lovefilm, i'm disconnecting my internet till i've finished me3.
how many times have you said that in this thread, for the love of god.
i like the new normandy alot, kinda has a stargate universe-ish feel to the interior
They can be cracked incredibly easy as soon as the encryption key goes live. Up until that point, however, it takes too long to crack the encryption.
That's my point. Before anyone gets the encryption key it's impossible to crack it (well, it's possible but so incredibly unlikely it's not worth considering)
the war room looks pretty damn cool
Anyone else feel like the days are slowly going by? :suicide:
I don't want the game to come out, I just want to perpetually wait for it forever more
Anyone else feel like the days are slowly going by? :suicide:
Not particularly. I'm keeping busy with homework, ME2, Skyrim and FFXIII.
Well that was a much better video. I really like the new Normandy.
