No no, I mean we take the Saren+Shepard relationship concept a /v/ or BSN guy posted a while ago and expand it, Saren goes from increasingly distant ally in ME1, to turncoat and manipulator in ME2, to outright villain in ME3. Sovereign goes from bogeyman in ME1, to nightmarish Eldritch Abomination in ME2, to "Oh god he's actually gonna do it" enemy in ME3.
Yeah... I just noticed your edit, so I edited my reply as well [editline]1st March 2012[/editline]
Are you kidding? Look at that stud
Not cool man. Not cool... But whatever floats your boat. Also, Garrus' skin looks like that of an elderly people...
The only gay romance for Male Shep is Steve the shuttle pilot.
This is a joke, right? There's no actual "Steve the Shuttle Pilot"? [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] because if it isn't what the fuck
Good.
What makes you say that? I get you want to avoid everybody being bi again, I do too, but I feel this is somewhat limiting people's options.
I mean we take the Saren+Shepard relationship concept a /v/ or BSN guy posted a while ago and expand it, Saren goes from increasingly distant ally in ME1, to turncoat and manipulator in ME2, to outright villain in ME3. Sovereign goes from bogeyman in ME1, to nightmarish Eldritch Abomination in ME2, to "Oh god he's actually gonna do it" enemy in ME3. Basically make Sovereign "Space Sauron." He's generally cunning and insidious but overbearingly powerful when he realizes he needs to do the work himself. It would make the whole Conduit plot and "race to the Citadel" all the more vital because we've been building up to this the entire game.
This would have been much better. Plus cerberus could have just stayed as a rogue black ops team or whatever they were in ME1.
Sadly there will be a shuttle pilot
As the only gay romance option for Male Shep? That's ridiculous. I'm all for the choice of that, but you'd assume there would be a main character (squad member) that Shepard could get with, just like all the straight romances.
Not to nitpick or anything, but is it just me or does that water look like absolute ass ? Unreal engine can do some pretty nice looking water, why does this look like crap. half life 2 in 2004 had better water than this. [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/MassEffect3Demo_2012-02-29_23-24-03-98.png[/img_thumb]
Looks like I'm back on the PS2. Jesus, that has to be some sort of error, you can't finish a level and be like "Yep that's good."
What makes you say that?
Adding in any romance options at this point is going to be difficult (it's the end of the world and thousands are dying every minute), they should add in the least amount they can. I believe that there should be gay options for those that want them, but adding in four or five of them would be ridiculous (having any romance written in the way Bioware does it during this crisis is going to be awful, but whatever), adding to the already insane amount of things you can fuck in this game aside, there would be little sensibility in adding many new romance options during the end of days. Adding in one for each sex is enough, this isn't a sex sim, you shouldn't be fucking dating at all during this crisis. You're a soldier not a hustler.

You know, end of the world, may as well spend it with someone you love.
Adding in one for each sex is enough, this isn't a sex sim, you shouldn't be fucking dating at all during this crisis. You're a soldier not a hustler.
Then why was it added to begin with? Plus, shouldn't there also be a singular straight one too? I mean I'm not trying to accuse Bioware of anything, but it's sort of difficult not to at this point.
pessimists
I'd think that the morons and quitters would be fucking someone instead of fighting for survival. Edit: This is a ridiculous argument anyways, you're not some schmuck dying on Earth and fucking someone else who is giving up. You're Shepard, the person that Earth's survival has been entrusted with. You're supposed to be fighting in the war, and/or preparing for the war, that millions of your brothers and sisters in arms have already died in.
Then why was it added to begin with?
Because Bioware panders to BSN.
shouldn't there also be a singular straight one too
There are plenty of straight options, there is no need to add another one.
I'm glad they included gay romances, I won't be pursuing it, but I'm glad the options there for those that would. That being said, while people are upset over having only one homosexual romance option per sex, neither of whom are squadmates, I am glad they didn't decide to make previous squad members gay, Like Kaidan or Ashley, seeing as they never showed any hints towards it in the previous games.
What a coincidence, found this on CVG, thought it was an elephant. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/337896/features/mass-effect-3-the-series-grows-up-with-same-sex-romances/
Kaidan.
/v/ and /vg/ are saying that they've got audio files for a gay Kaidan romance, I haven't been able to confirm for myself. But it's out there.
There are plenty of straight options, there is no need to add another one.
Nah, I meant just the one from the get-go. Not adding a new one; just the one. But the whole thing seems silly now.
/v/ and /vg/ are saying that they've got audio files for a gay Kaidan romance, I haven't been able to confirm for myself. But it's out there.
Yeah I've heard Kaidan and Ashley are bi now.
/v/ and /vg/ are saying that they've got audio files for a gay Kaidan romance, I haven't been able to confirm for myself. But it's out there.
/v/ also says a lot of things. Until somebody posts the files themselves or somehow verifies them, I'd recommend we not listen. Could just be someone wanting to stir some shit.
Kaidan would make sense since he was planned to be bi in ME1.
/v/ also says a lot of things. Until somebody posts the files themselves or somehow verifies them, I'd recommend we not listen.
That's exactly what you lot said about the leaked script, that turned out well. They have linked audio files, I just haven't DL'd them, if anyone is interested I can link the thread.
That's exactly what you lot said about the leaked script, that turned out well.
You seem to be implying there's something wrong with being cautious.
I can't tell if I'm still excited for this or not.
You seem to be implying there's something wrong with being cautious.
Being cautious is great, it's why people were worried when the script leaked and why there were squabbles in this thread with people who were choosing to be blindly optimistic. Being cautious of a source that has proved reliable in the past while investing any amount of faith in a company that has proved unreliable is not smart.
As the only gay romance option for Male Shep? That's ridiculous. I'm all for the choice of that, but you'd assume there would be a main character (squad member) that Shepard could get with, just like all the straight romances.
why does it have to be a squad member? Just so it feels like the romance is more meaningful or what? (genuine question)
This would have been much better. Plus cerberus could have just stayed as a rogue black ops team or whatever they were in ME1.
Damn, the more I think about it the better it sounds! For starters it could have Benezia on Eden Prime, and that would have made her feel like less of a tacked on character, and made Sarren more mysterious.
I just want to know if Garrus is fuckable. That actually affects my purchase.
I just want to know if Garrus is fuckable. That actually affects my purchase.
Bioware fans.
Plus, as it stands just now it feels like Sovereign and Harbinger's names are the wrong way round.
Being cautious is great, it's why people were worried when the script leaked and why there were squabbles in this thread with people who were choosing to be blindly optimistic.
You always seem to say this. If somebody disagrees and thinks ME3 will be better than what you've envisioned, you always seem to say it's because they're being "blindly optimistic".
Being cautious of a source that has proved reliable in the past while investing any amount of faith in a company that has proved unreliable is not smart.
Well there's no harm in it, is there? It's not like we'll alienate /v/ and /vg/ just by saying "I don't entirely trust this straight away" and never get their information again.
I can't tell if I'm still excited for this or not.
Im really excited. Sure things may have been rocky, but i've been waiting for this for a while. Even if it doesnt live up to my expectations, it's the end of the journey. I've been waiting for this, and im damn going to enjoy it.
I just want to know if Garrus is fuckable. That actually affects my purchase.
Garrus isn't gay/bisexual, but for femshep he's fair game.
