Decisions we've made throughout ME1 and ME2 will alter the stage in Mass Effect 3, says Casey Hudson. Taking your time gives an "amazing, very definitive ending."
http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/12449/mass-effect-3s-ending-more-brutal-if-side-quests-neglected You Liar.
You haven't been with the discussion over the last couple days, have you? If what we know is all true, then there is no truly "good" ending. There's just a range of dark to ultradark.
isn't that what most diehard fans always wanted
Most diehard fans wanted a range of endings, like BioWare promised would occur.
oh, okay. I don't quite understand still but I'll do my best On another topic... is it really impossible to [sp]save the relays? Are they destroyed in EVERY ending? Guess all that talk about more Mass Effect games is kinda impossible...[/sp] [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] I'm begininning to wonder if backlash like this will have an affect on DLC remember Fallout 3, how everyone bitched so hard because of how bad the ending sucked, then they DLC retconned it? I'm wondering if that might happen here.
[sp] They can always build new mass relays in the future. The Protheans did it and the rest of the galaxy can't be that far off technologically from them by the end.[/sp]
isn't that what most diehard fans always wanted
Most rational fans didn't want a sunshine and rainbows "Everything's okay!" ending because that would trivialize everything you've done in the past two titles and make the Reapers a non-threat. ...Instead, we're getting a GRIMDARK ending that possibly trivializes everything we've done in the past two titles, but at least the Reapers might still be a threat.
isn't that what most diehard fans always wanted
I feel players who worked their ass off, got every loyalty, solved every galactic problem available, built up an amazing playthough, shouldn't be fucked over and get a universal ending. I've been going through these 2 games working so hard because I want the best ending where [sp]We kick the Reapers asses, and everyone wins. like we always do.[/sp] but instead, I'm forced into one ending. It's literally Fallout 3 all over. No matter what you did throughout that game, you always got the same shitty fucking ending. Unless you pay 10$.
isn't that what most diehard fans always wanted
I would say most fans want endings varying from "Ultra-Hero Shepard saves the day with some losses" to "Oh god Shepard, you really fucked up".
Will liara be a LI in ME3?
save the galaxy, with shepard walking away from explosions?
People didn't want just shades of ULTRA GRIM DARK.
Will liara be a LI in ME3?
Yep.
Most diehard fans wanted a range of endings, like BioWare promised would occur.
I still think they should've tried for a New Vegas kind of deal Different paths, many different endings all that shit
I would say most fans want endings varying from "Ultra-Hero Shepard saves the day with some losses" to "Oh god Shepard, you really fucked up".
Instead, we don't get either. Unless I'm mistaken, it's literally impossible to lose now.
I want people to have consequences for their actions. I want Paragons to save the day, full hero style. I want Renegades to succeed, but at a cost. Why force it all into one Ultra-grim-buttfucked-ending?
People didn't want just shades of ULTRA GRIM DARK.
I remember the me2 threads well they did
I want people to have consequences for their actions. I want Paragons to save the day, full hero style. I want Renegades to succeed, but at a cost. Why force it all into one Ultra-grim-buttfucked-ending?
To be honest, I'm not sure. Creating a wide range of endings would not be a particularly difficult task now that this is the last game in the series. Hell, Bioware said as much a few months ago.
Just adding my two cents to the BioWare romance debate; currently played my way through Dragon Age. Getting to know my party at the campsite. Next thing I know, I'm inside Morrigan and everyone's commenting on it. I'm pretty sure picking the "A pretty mirror for a pretty woman" dialogue option shouldn't lock me into a dialogue tree from which there's no escape except romance...
When you chose that line it's suggested that you are interested! You've been bewitched
isn't that what most diehard fans always wanted
Yes and no. A lot of people wanted an ending that wasn't super-Mary-Sue saving everything and making perfection, but we would like to choose our doom. Things like high levels of extinction but a situation that can be recovered from, control of the Reapers in a grim authoritarian sense, Shep dying, a good choice of endings would have these and others in various combinations, but not the entire spectrum so hard choices and sacrifices had to be made. What we have now is [sp]an inevitable grimdark with no option to take a different route, Shep almost always dying but with a small hint that they're not quite dead in some endings, endings which are independent of previous choices for a single scale of contributing factors, it's a good part fucked up.[/sp]
they did
No, they did not. Nobody asked for every ending to be absurdly dark shit, making everything you worked for seem irrelevant.
Tell you what. Forget the endings. I have a new canon ending that will PLEASE EVERYONE. Reapers are coming or some shit. Shepard gets on the phone. "Garrus! Wrex! I need your help!" Garrus and Wrex immediately put on jetpacks and fly to Commander Shepard. Shepard also dons a jetpack. They then fly to space, and punch all the Reapers. ALL of them. Garrus remarks "Guess we shouldn't FEAR THE REAPER!" cue them flying back to Earth while singing "Don't Fear The Reaper". They then run into Liara and have a celebratory gangbang. [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] Renegade ending : Shepard punches all the reapers, but he says it's because he's racist.
this
emailing hepler for a last minute change [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] enjoy
guys, this is the goddamn cthulhu mythos in space. if anything, you should be crying from all the love bioware gave you, and for once, they were actually DARK AS SHIT. nothing can please you people damnit.
emailing hepler for a last minute change
I know what you're trying to do, but you're not being as witty as you think you are. Anyways, in my opinion there should have been a few endings: Hero: Reapers are defeated, though there have been heavy losses. Palaven and Thessia are in ruins, with Earth not much better. The quarians and geth have reached a compromise and the quarians return home. Shepard and his crew stand on the surface of Earth, looking at all the destruction. Heavy losses have been sustained, but there's still hope. Middle: Reapers are defeated, even heavier losses. All major homeworlds are in ruins, if not outright destroyed, with colonies providing the only remaining refuge. The Normandy has been destroyed, resulting in the death of Joker as well as several other crewmembers. Shepard and his friends are on a colony planet or station, remembering their friends and the sacrifices that got them there. Still somewhat hopeful, but at a low point Bad: Reapers win, everyone dies.
I quickly read through some parts of the leaked script. SPOILERS obviously: [sp]The Geth, all of them, actually join the Reapers because the Quarians attack and they couldn't win? What bullshit is that. As far as I know, the previous games let us believe the Geth most likely have incredible technology and fleet, where the Quarians try to survive in their old ships.[/sp]

Haha. Homosexuals. That's cool.
-snip- What if the Reapers real plans were to cause the player Rage and thus destroy all hope in bioware?
-snip- What if the Reapers real plans were to cause the player Rage and thus destroy all hope in bioware?
Bioware exists because consumers allow it. They will end because we demand it. This exchange is over.
Back from uni, I just checked the EB games near there, it says 8th on the signs too. Either the biggest typo or WE'RE GETTING ANOTHER GAME A DAY EARLY AHAHAHHAA
