Not sure I'd call 1/2 non-squadmate missions substantial screen-time, or particularly satisfying. Especially when characters like Tali can be necessary for an important plot AND show up for most of the game, there isn't any good justification for it. Setting up these characters in ME2 just so they can give you +25 galactic bullshit points in the final game is wasted potential and pisses on the main point of ME2. [sp]Don't even get me started on Legion having to die no matter what or Miranda running off for most of the game just to find her sister. Thane sacrifices his life for something that happens no matter what. At this rate, it wouldn't surprise me if the generic salarian scientist replacement cures the genohage if Mordin isn't around. These characters exists in important but short and fairly replaceable roles. It would've went a long way if one or two of the characters joined the team...or even if some of them were temporary squadmates, but it looks like bioware just went the cheapest route possible: make them "important" for one mission and be done with it. I could've dealt with a few of my favorite characters being sidelined. When it's ALL of them and every single character from the previous game, there's a problem. [/sp]
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most of the non-squadmate characters going to show up periodically throughout the story, usually during down-time on the Citadel? Maybe I'm mistaken.

ME3 is going to be preloadable today right? If so, is there any word on what time it will be available?
ME3 is going to be preloadable today right? If so, is there any word on what time it will be available?
The pre-load includes the Day-1 patch as well. Will be interesting to see what Bioware changed; some particularly optimistic people are hoping the patch includes the good ending :v:

Maybe I'm mistaken.
I'm not completely sure myself, but I don't believe you can meet these characters more than once or twice outside of their respective missions. I mean, I know you can [sp]meet Miranda on the citadel early in the game, but that conversation amounts to "I'm barely going to mention anything about Cerberus, and I'm not going to join you for personal reasons lolbye" [/sp] It's not particularly compelling.
ME3 is going to be preloadable today right? If so, is there any word on what time it will be available?
About 2 hours and thirty minutes until its preloadable.

People complain about bad endings or reused models or whatever, but none of that really bothers me as much as the squadmate thing. It's the only thing that makes me not even want to play the game.

Personally, I just want to see how everyone's story wraps up, even if they're only on-screen for 20-30 minutes. Disappointing, sure, but as long as I get a strong sense of closure then I won't mind so much.
Is everyone going to import their Shepard to ME3 for their first run? Personally, I wont.
Is everyone going to import their Shepard to ME3 for their first run? Personally, I wont.
Why wouldn't I? DefaultShep sure as hell ain't MY Shep.
Is everyone going to import their Shepard to ME3 for their first run? Personally, I wont.
Judging they won't fuck you over, if you pick a blank default Shep, you might be able even to save [sp]Mordin.[/sp] If you destroyed [sp]Maelon's cure, Mordin will work till death to cure the genophage himself. I destroyed it because the Krogans are still too dangerous. One of my most favourite characters will die in my save.[/sp] Will import nonetheless until better save editors are out. Gotta fix some ME2 plot table decisions which no editor covers yet.
I just love being bored with photoshop open. chances are I will be streaming on twitch.tv btw, livestream isnt that good.
Twitch is better yer.

Actually, how did we get those galactic readiness numbers from console games?
EU Release/Preload 1: Belgium (BE) Denmark (DK) Finland (FI) France (FR) Germany (DE) Netherlands (NL) Norway (NO) Spain (ES) Sweden (SE) Release: Thu 08 Mar, 00:01 CET/CEST
Why does it say EU, Norway's not in the EU
Actually, how did we get those galactic readiness numbers from console games?
The script got leaked, then the game got leaked and people are looking through the files.
The script got leaked, then the game got leaked and people are looking through the files.
We have a pre beta script, a most likely beta/pre-beta game leak. What?
Why does it say EU, Norway's not in the EU
EU is sometimes just used for Europe.
We have a pre beta script, a most likely beta/pre-beta game leak. What?
No the PC DDE got leaked. Nothing appears to be encrypted, all there is is a release date check. People have been looking through audio files and videos since around Tuesday.
EU means Europe and not always European Union, but apparantly Europe isn't a contintent to you anymore. In before the North American Union.
Never seen anyone use EU for Europe before. It's not like they're saying AS for Asia or NO for North America.
Never seen anyone use EU for Europe before. It's not like they're saying AS for Asia or NO for North America.
AUStralia EUrope
AUStralia EUrope
They were obviously referring to the Australian Union Soup
Never seen anyone use EU for Europe before. It's not like they're saying AS for Asia or NO for North America.
Actually, NA is for North America. And I've always thought when using EU, it meant Europe as a whole.
No the PC DDE got leaked. Nothing appears to be encrypted, all there is is a release date check. People have been looking through audio files and videos since around Tuesday.
So where did the numbers come from?
Is everyone going to import their Shepard to ME3 for their first run? Personally, I wont.
of course I'm importing. If what bioware said is true (and this is one thing I think they will be true to their word on) if you don't import the game assumes you're one of those fools who haven't played the first two, so they explain everything to you in greater detail that otherwise wouldn't need explaining
