I don't know, There were some parts in the demo that really looked like something happened and just skipped it
Well, the demo handles it as such: Action mode doesn't let you choose your character class or appearance (odd), and it defaults to "No Decisions." Hard to say what's going on.
Not sure. This is the schedule. https://help.ea.com/article/mass-effect-3-release-schedule?showhome=true PST the current time according to google is 8:25pm Friday The current time in KST is 1:25pm Saturday, I think that's 17 hours difference. The game activates at 12am KST on Tuesday, so by my guesstimate it's 7am Monday morning. All of these are done from my head and it's 4:30am for me, so i'm probably wrong, but you can see where I'm going with it.
Aw man.. that's a school day.. oh wait. But it's a short day. WOOHOO!
how bad IS Origin?
Principles aside, it's just another client. Some people have a lot of issue with it, and some have no issue at all. Much like people with Steam. That being said if you've used Steam for awhile Origin is going to seem dated and unnecessary, count on that regardless of any issues you do/do not have with the client itself. Also, EA support is god awful. So there is that too.
Origin can actually scan your PC to see if you have pirated software on it, so it can scan through things without your consent. The program itself isn't _That_ bad, but it's not as good as Steam is, and people are annoyed that you have to have it to play certain games.
Wasn't this proven proven to be fake or only in Germany? [editline]3rd March 2012[/editline]
Also, I'm going to trust you guys aren't idiots or fanboys and am asking this honestly: how bad IS Origin? I've been vehemently hating it since it seemed so stupid at the time, but the idea of downloading it is slowly becoming less stupid in my mind.
It's not a very heavy feature client like Steam, but it's really light and easy to use for something that is still in beta.
Assuming this is all true, how on earth could Bioware think removing the best aspect of the series would be a good idea?
It's true for a lot of interactions. People have been PFPFOLSKJFL:SKJFL:AFDJO:IWFN for a reason, JL, and you've seen that most of the script is by-incident yourself. *shrug* [editline]3rd March 2012[/editline]
Principles aside, it's just another client. They should stick the company on basketballs wives and get it over with, honestly.
Just noticed the ME3 main menu (the demo at least) quietly plays the Vigil theme if you stay on it long enough. It's faint, but you can distinctly hear it between all the other sounds that's going on.

One thing I like about origin is that you don't have to play with the overlay constantly on. I went through DA:O this past week by just double clicking the application in the game folder. Didn't even start up Origin. [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] mind you with ME3 it's moot since the multiplayer uses origin

I still have high hopes for the game...but I'm less encouraged than I was a few days ago.
Guess we'll see how long my optimism can hold out, eh? I still have high hopes for the game...but I'm less encouraged than I was a few days ago.
I'm still way excited.
Guess we'll see how long my optimism can hold out, eh?
Guess we'll see how long my optimism can hold out, eh? I still have high hopes for the game...but I'm less encouraged than I was a few days ago.
I went from optimism to "ruined forever" but now, with the demo and the recent videos coming out, it's back to knowing I'll probably love the game.
If you completely ignore the overall story, it's great.
I just want the fucking game to come out already so I can see for myself if the game is worth it in the end. This thread is such a roller coaster, one page were ejaculating to the new videos and screenshots, and then on another page, where more tid bits of information gets released, everyone is like "WHY BIOWARE WHY!?" . PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!
I just ignore the TRORRS and take refuge in the thought that the game will be awesome.
Information that threatens my state of blissful ignorance? Trolls.
i couldn't finish mass effect 2. i think i finished the first. i just can't play it because there's absolutely no gun porn action camera angles in the game, and the weapon selection sucks shit. also i couldn't be shitted about anything that was really going on. then all of a sudden i heard a mooo i mistook for a hum, took it out of my ps3 and i have not played it since. the combat just lacks any oomph it's almost like hellgate london's combat. i couldn't find any motivation for playing it. [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] sorry, i'm just pissed off i actually bought this after gameflying it
Information that threatens my state of blissful ignorance? Trolls.
I know right
I don't know about you guys but I'll actually give Bioware a bone here and play their game before I start foaming over story and "cut down character conversations" You can say a lot about Bioware or Mass-Effect, but I highly doubt they'd completely gut the most important feature of Mass-Effect. But who knows, thats the fun part, just a waiting game now :v:
Hey, you remind me of myself right before Dragon Age II came out.
I guess, and I've had bad strokes of luck with lots of games like this, but may as well try it out.
If you completely ignore the overall story, it's great.
What.. the hell.. are you talking about. Oh ho ho ho! Shit! 7 AM I can set this stuff up before I go to school. and play even earlier because it's a short day. WHoooo! Check If I'm right: http://r-1.ch/tzconvert.php?akst=&pst=&mst=&cst=&est=&gmt=&cet=&eet=&jst=0001&aus=&submit=Calculate+Times
I'm getting it like a real man. Preorder this Monday, and getting it on Thursday.
You can say a lot about Bioware or Mass-Effect, but I highly doubt they'd completely gut the most important feature of Mass-Effect.
That's quite logical for them to do that. ME and ME2 has got people's attention to the series, an awful lot of people will buy ME3 - so why bother? Less work on the game - same amount of money. Even better as you don't have to pay for voice acting as much, so more money saved.

Bioware and Mass-Effect is EA's Biggest thing, and this is obviously their biggest investment so far, atleast for Bioware. I highly doubt they'd fuck it all up. Who knows though, I'm just having a little faith, We'll see on the 6th.
Your release date will be: 05 March 2012, 15:00 I'm from the UK, Jelly? Anyway, this is how you unlock the game early on Origin (For those who haven't done it before) 1. Download FlyVPN 2. Get the Free trial username and password from here: http://www.flyvpn.com/freetrial 3. Log in to Origin under your NORMAL IP. This is important. 4. When Origin is loaded up go to your VPN and connect, pick the Asia tab at the top and pick Hong Kong 5. Click play on Mass Effect 3, it'll do the date and time check 6.
