Ok, let's just put aside the fact that [sp]it would be impossible to sustain or even start a colony with a gene pool of that size[/sp], with the wording used, you won't be [sp]seeing your squad mates either, which means no meaningful ending with your love interest. Which doesn't even begin to touch on the fact that all races will be pretty much completely cut off from each other without the mass relays. It's just a shit ending all around, and while I realize it's a script several months old, how much could they possibly have changed it by now? I'm just completely disappointed in Bioware.[/sp]

Ending is confirmed for shit. None of your choices make a difference about it - you've got 3 choices ripped directly from Deus Ex. You meet the ultimate reaper, who is the kid from the beginning of the game, or I guess represented by him and Shepard's voices. He made the reapers because civilizations become dicks once they get too powerful, and he's doing the other life a favor by converting them into new reapers. You can blow up all the reapers, control all the reapers, or merge with the reapers. In the end, though, it was all just a bedtime story papa Shepard was telling a kid all along.
