Depends on your perspective, they're not easy to swallow endings and we'll just have to wait and see the final game to make a judgement.
Also to SEK, why not just use a save editor to set your ME1 options and than play through ME2.

Well I tried the save editor but I dont know which flags to set to set a decision, there are some events that need multiple flags and soem dont, I don't remember ME1 enough for all that.

It just seems odd that you'd be alright with the final leg of Shepard's tale ending in a manner that didn't live up to any kind of standards. I imagine the story and characters are what got you involved in the series (because there wasn't much of anything else to the games prior to the third installment adding in multiplayer)? I just can't imagine not caring about the story to the point where it could be utter shit and you'd be completely alright with it.
Perhaps I put a lot of importance on the narrative, but i'm surprised that more people don't really seem to care about the story all of a sudden. Whether bad or good, people are saying "I don't care, i'm dropping sixty bucks on this game for the multiplayer". It's quite a bit different from what these threads have been heavily focused on for the past few months (the main story, and outcome of character stories).

There is a difference between ''elitist'' and being realistic. This thread has essentially brushed aside the story (which is weird considering Mass Effect is a story driven game) and started raving over a multiplayer system which in essence is really unoriginal.
Bioware has essentially screwed over the people that bought the first Mass Effect in '07 to appeal to FPS fans. The story is essentially being destroyed in what's supposed to be the ''amazing final chapter'' to a five year old franchise.

Trust me the Story has always been very important to me, bit of a nerd moment, and I realize I mention him several times, but hey why not time for a short story on faggotry. I met my boyfriend because of Mass-Effect, its something we got into together and something important between us. We would spend hours talking about it and playing it together. But in the end? I realize its a game, and I guess what I'm trying to say is, trust me. This series holds a very special dear place in my heart, and I know any issues with the ending/story will hit both him and I kind of hard. But I realize its a game, you know? I have to enjoy it for what it is. If I can't enjoy the story by the end, I want to atleast enjoy the gameplay, music, sounds, and everything else it has to offer like Multiplayer.
Mass-Effect means something special to me, and I plan to be with it till the very end, bitter or sweet. I just put some faith in, that the guys who brought us ME1-ME2 that I loved so much, will give us a decent game with a decent story. I cried over ME1-ME2, not a lot of games involve me like that, maybe like a handful at most.
