Am I the only one who plays with default Shepard? I don't change his appearance or his name, I've been doing it that way since ME1.
I have one renegon sheploo, my "canon" paragade infiltrator femshep and one total dick-ass vanguard custom maleshep
[sp]She jumps off a cliff in front of Shepard[/sp]
[sp]Shit. Thought she'll put a bullet in a head just like Ronald Taylor in Renegade outcome.[/sp]
Am I the only one who plays with default Shepard? I don't change his appearance or his name, I've been doing it that way since ME1.
Hmm, I think I'll do a Sheploo run through all three MEs later, because I never done it. From first time I got ME1 I played as custom MaleShep (but as Soldier, not Infiltrator as always, I discovered all classes' features later). For now I only completed ME2 as my second Renegon FemShep Vanguard. Then starting from ME1 to make my main playthrough as Paragade MaleShep Infiltrator. BTW it's always troubling to play as full Paragons or Renegades. Too kind or too cruel.
Great, I have to play the first part of ME2 to get my face code because it did not import properly.
I saved him because I'm not a psychopath. Dr Archer can go fuck himself.
Agreed there, just hoping Dr. Archer will at least be able to visit his brother. Don't want to see the family broken apart just because of some unchecked ambition.
So *snicker* who here is going to be using Vega?
Definitely going to be a regular, I'm growing quite fond of him.
So, how are the textures? Any improved?
Some are, some are not its hit and miss still looks better then the demo.
[sp]She jumps off a cliff in front of Shepard[/sp]
Fun Fact: [sp]This means it's impossible to get a "perfect" playthrough without an import Shepard.[/sp]
Fun Fact: [sp]This means it's impossible to get a "perfect" playthrough without an import Shepard.[/sp]
I just said the exact same thing to you on steam you you double-reaper
Bravo bioware, my imported me2 shep looks 10 years younger. Again. Did this with me2. :v:...
I just said the exact same thing to you on steam you you double-reaper
Original post do not steal.
Loving the game so far, DLC/KOA weapons are unique, writing is honestly great, I don't miss "investigate" at all, as the writing flows beautifully, feels like real natural people talking and explains things thus negating investigate completely.
Is the "intro" part of the game longer than in the demo? Or did they lie abut that too.
Is the "intro" part of the game longer than in the demo? Or did they lie abut that too.
It is more refined, you have one dialouge option with Kaidan/Ashley and thats about it. I honestly don't mind it. Though it seems like a nice touch already, as being a full paragon in all of ME2 already made a big difference, Anderson isn't getting angry at you and going on about the "shit you done". He's actually calm and respectful. You being a specter or resigning is also noted in the later convo. So yes, I can say at least for now, even small differences are there.
Bravo bioware, my imported me2 shep looks 10 years younger. Again. Did this with me2. :v:...
And it selected the wrong eyebrows. Well it was close.
Honestly I'm legit liking the game and I'm really loving the N7 weapons as they are all unique. You'd think they are shit reskins but no. N7 Crusader Shotgun? = 4 Shot Slug Rifle N7 Eagle Pistol? = Phalanx Machine Pistol [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] The N7 SMG? (forgot its name). Double-Burst/Barrel Rapid-Fire of Fuck you uP
Some are, some are not its hit and miss still looks better then the demo.
We demand pics.
We demand pics.
Think ME2, but sure I got some

Didn't take any during most convos sadly, but here is some standard gameplay textures. Instead of awkwardly standing there and let me ask like 20+ questions.

Door textures suck, but Shepard's textures look okay.

Taking away player input over shepard's speech is a good way to destroy the experience, at least for me.

Continue cut off convos after events, and fully explain stuff. So just pretend "investigate" was now woven into it. Also game looks way better in motion, they really stepped up their special effects and lighting, looks awesome to me [editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
Flows like a conversation you have very little input over. If the player doesn't need it, why bother, if he needs it. You should tell him it.
Why bother with conversation options at all with that logic?
I can't say I agree with the removement of (most?) neutral options, but I can't say I care about Investigate. If the player doesn't need it, why bother, if he needs it.
Why bother with conversation options at all with that logic?
Because its good to give me choice where it matters or is important, but you shouldn't give me a load of "ask a question" options because if its really important, I should hear it by default. Real people don't stand there and ask 20 questions in a static scene, I can't fault them for trying to be more organic.
But Investigate was good for finding about less important shit in conversations, it was never necessary for plot advancement
My issue is that Shepard shouldn't be speaking so much without my input. I love Choice, but I don't mind him being his own character either. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
But Investigate was good for finding about less important shit in conversations, it was never necessary for plot advancement
Well now the game basically says "not important, don't bother" "important, tell him it". I don't see a problem with it honestly.

Making all of this auto dialogue takes control out of your hands.

It goes against everything the series stands for :v: He's more than welcome to emote more, but don't let the game assume it knows what I want him to say.
Also game looks way better in motion, they really stepped up their special effects and lighting, looks awesome to me
Good, Mass Effect 2 seemed to take a step down in the "explosions" department compared to ME1.
