It's just using a proxy to change your IP to Korea while it checks it. There is no "crack" needed.

Been playing it for a bit, honestly it's not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's still lacking. A lot.
Good thing I bought it off my friend for $30 (he heard the news about the leak and immediately went on the hate-train [idiot]). Worth all the money.

You might run out of time before it comes out, depending on region. Although it's perfectly possible to finish both before it comes out in EU.
I've been playing since 12 pm and all I've done is multiplayer.

I'm fine with it being released while I'm still playing 1st or 2nd, it's just it'll take some time that I'm not sure I want to commit to. The recent discussions about games having Skip Combat option made me think this would be a good use of it. :v:
So 3 hours in, I like it.
Not sure what to think about EDI though.

They're just telling what happened before ME3 (briefly) and what's happening right now in the story. Not sure what you mean by being of "any actual use", though.

Well I managed to knock ME1 out in one day, so it's really not too bad if you just skip through all the non-essential dialogue and put the combat on casual.
Was watching the Council in ME3, seems a little more different, mostly the voices. Either that's because they are newer, or they changed the actor, actress, and salarian councilor(sounds more like a she now).
By the way, if you miss your space hamster, go near Jack's hidey-hole. I found him crawling around down there.
One thing I will say; they have stepped up their game with the codex entries. The primary ones are far better than the ones in previous games.

You know what they should've done? Given you the ability to "tag" a codex entry and listen to it while you go around the ship.

Does anyone know at what point the DLC character (you know who) comes into play? Or how far in?
I have a feeling it might be at the beginning because of what I am doing in the game right now, and I would rather get (it) rather than not be able to or have to go back.

You can get it as soon as you get control of the normandy and where it goes.

You can do his mission at any time after you get control of the normandy (as in control where you go). Pretty much the beginning of the game.
