I personally think it's pretty fucking cool that you get to import your endgame level. No more do you magically "unlearn" all your skills.
Thing is though, I mean, I understand Shepard is really good at this shit. But I don't see how this stuff carries over to such an amount.
In Mass Effect 2, Shepard is recruiting a fairly small team of elite soldiers to fight one enemy of biological humanoids.
In Mass Effect 3, Shepard is building civilization wide alliances to save the galaxy and fight off kilometer+ sized sentient fucking starships.
How exactly does this shit transfer like that?
No, the level cap is 60. You might want to learn about the game next time. Also if you're finding it too easy from being powerful, change the difficulty from casual to hard.
I am fucking staring at my squad screen right now. It says I am at level 30/50.
Just got done retrieving [sp]the new Turian Primarch.[/sp] Loving it so far.
And I have the day off tomorrow. I know where all of my time is going.
Well now that I think about it, you would only transfer a few levels from ME1 to ME2 because, well, you die. From ME2 to ME3, you're just sitting on Earth, eating Krispy Kremes or something.
When something doesn't make sense, it means a wizard did it.
I don't see how you can't understand/grasp my point.
Regardless of whether or not there are 50 or 60 levels.
I paid to, essentially, level Shepard. I start the game and, because I played the previous one, the game gives me 50-60% of the leveling right at the start.
I feel like I've been gypped and that I, personally, cheated.
How am I supposed to get the feel for my character when I have everything unlocked right from the start? How am I supposed to feel my powers and abilities progressing and getting stronger? I can't.

Mass effect fields man.

Also maybe this game isn't so much about leveling up as it is about story/plot.
I won't tell you how to enjoy the game but your reasoning's kind of silly.
I didnt know circling the player without animating during cut scenes and suddenly and quickly having the character just move across the screen to get to somewhere that the camera is about to get to was a feature!

I guess you could just start fresh and select options for what you did and stuff. Sure that's cheating as well because it's not your Shepard, but that's as good as it's going to get.

You could you know grab the save editor for mass effect 2 and edit your save and then import it. I get the fact you paid and feel gypped but still if its that big of a problem for you then fix it yourself. Unless you have it on Xbox, then you'll just have to do what the above poster said.
That's not the point though. I shouldn't have to hack the game to get the full content.
There's not really any reason why the experience couldn't be pulled over in a similar fashion to ME1>ME2. While similar, the circumstances are vastly different. So your previous experience is diminished in value.
So, ME1 characters don't get their faces imported? What the fuck? Is this true?
So, ME1 characters don't get their faces imported? What the fuck? Is this true?
Bioware are working on a fix but because ME1 > ME2 imports had broken facecodes on account of ME1 having no facecodes, it won't import, ME2 read all the data on your character to get its face from ME1, ME3 just checks for a facecode which won't work on an ME1 import.

This "fix" had better be rolled out by the time I get the game day after tomorrow (Australia) or I am gonna be pissed.
[editline]6th March 2012[/editline]
I mean really that is just fucking retarded, did it seriously not occur to them that people might want to import their character that had been through the other two games, holy shit
So compared to say ME2, how is the game?
:v:
To be quite honest, I love it. It takes some of the good of ME1 and ME2. It's very interesting.
Also, I found out you can buy the [sp]Blood Dragon Armor[/sp] on the Citadel.
(Spoiler just in case?)
I know the game just came out, but does anyone know if there's any way to give yourself credits like in Gibbed?
Last note, if you got that gun from the Kingdoms of Amalur demo, it's a pretty fun gun to play around with.
What exactly is in the 40.1MB patch? Origin has downloaded that three times over for the past 2 days.
So ME3 doesn't suck as much as most things told us it would?
My optimism was well-placed, yet illogical. How pyhrric.
So, just want to say, no spoilers here, but Jessica Chobot CANNOT ACT.
Whomever thought to bring her in to voice anybody should be damned ashamed of themselves.
Her bad acting does seem to match up with just how mega-derpy her character model looks though...

So is ME3 the train wreck I was expecting?
So is ME3 the train wreck I was expecting?
Apparently not. So far, most seem to be enjoying it, with occasional smatterings of silly writing that nonetheless fail to detract from overall fun.
From what I've seen, the only people that're going to hate it with every fibre of their being will be the ones that sperg out over everything anyway.

I don't believe you lies.
ME1 Spoilers:
I think my ME1 choices on my ME1>ME2>ME3 import save haven't carried over properly.. shouldn't the [sp] council be fully human? I let them die in ME1 and assigned Anderson to the council, now Udina is on and theres an Asari, Turian and Salarian with him [/sp], but the [sp] Rachni Queen [/sp] carried over.
I always assumed that the council in ME2 had a Turian, Asari and Salarian on it, but it was dominated by Udina/Anderson.
I hope I'm not late.

That was god-awful, especially compared to the masterpiece that was the Commander Shepard song.

I liked it.
