Oh man the best thing just happened with Conrad.
[sp]A Cerberus operative tried to shoot me. And Conrad dove in front of the shot all dramatically and in slow-mo. Conrad is laying on the ground, saying he doesn't feel anything. But, Jenna, the undercover C-Sec officer in ME1 from Chora's Den had sabotaged the gun so it wouldn't fire.[/sp]
it doesn't matter if you started it, prolonging it is just as bad.
Everything is my fault again as usual. Oh no, I'm such a bad man.
Do you think I'd enjoy Mass Effect 3 if I wouldn't have played the other ones? I can't seem to get into the first Mass Effect and I'm not sure about the second one.
Also does ME3 have controller support for the pc?
How is the game in general, actually? I'm a bit skeptic about if I'm to buy it or not.

you were both being silly, and now so am I for prolonging this argument.
I will note however that advertisement is a bannable offence, so you are technically worse than 616.

Pretty good, apparently. About the same as ME2 was in quality from what I've heard.

Lets all just be friends.
Just got to the Citadel. Went to talk to Udina, saw his name on the wall
Donnel
I cannot believe his name is Donnel. I laughed so fucking hard for like 5 minutes.
Fucking Donnel Udina. :v:

And it wasn't even my intention to start any of this, my apologies to everyone.
Ok so I have tried using this VPN called Hotspot shield, but even though it changed my IP twice nothing has happened. Idea's?

Doubt it. Sure I haven't played it, but the series is pretty much all about the story. The action is nothing special.
Also does ME3 have controller support for the pc?

From what I read earlier, no.

Buy it, you will not regret it.
You know, I'm actually really liking the new Udina. Shows more of his "overworked bureaucrat" side then the slimeball politician.
[editline]6th March 2012[/editline]
The thing I'm really digging, however, is that the neutral/renegade Council decision in ME1 has a pretty big impact; [sp]The ships that were lost are defending positions and evacuating colonies, work on the front lines saving lives instead of just hanging around the Citadel during luxury cruises like the Destiny Ascension.[/sp]
They might be saving more lives then their potential sacrifice during the Siege of the Citadel ever did.
Can someone explain the readiness level thing? I get that multiplayer can affect it, but how does that work for new characters? Say I made a new character and wanted to get the worst ending possible, just to see it. If I had played lots of multiplayer beforehand would my readiness level be high already, forcing me to see a different ending? Or is there a way to change when/how mp connects with your readiness level?
For those on the fence still... Here's my quick take from the time I've had with the game so far.
I really loved the first Mass Effect (on the PC). It had a few issues here and there, such as the Mako sequences, but overall it was a great entry into the Action-RPG genre.
It took me an entire year between when I started Mass Effect 2 after it came out before I finished it (last night). I didn't like how there was such a bigger focus on the action element and less on the RPG element. They ripped out the squad customization and item management that I actually liked in the first game, things that actually made it feel more on par with RPG style games. Mass Effect 2, to me, felt a bit like Gears of War on a variety of different planets. Also, the ending boss was really, really stupid.
Mass Effect 3 does bring a bit of those RPG elements back into play from the first game. It's not full on complete item management or customization but it's closer than it was in 2. There is still a rather big portion of the game dedicated to action sequences, obviously, but it feels closer to the first game overall in terms of pacing and breakdown of the split between action and RPG.
Essentially, ME3 is sort of the "best of both worlds" scenario. I'd have liked to have seen BioWare go far more into the RPG side of things but I guess I'll take what I can get.
Also, all of the females have gigantic, grotesque chest sizes, Jessica Chobot cannot fucking act for anything, and the Jersey Shore is all up in the N7's shizzy.
Are all squadmembers permanent? Can I roll with Tali + Liara for most of the game?

Basically (ME)1 + (ME)2 = (ME)3

Yes
Basically (ME)1 + (ME)2 = (ME)3
Yes, I'd say that's a fair comment to make.
There is just one thing though that I'm not at all thrilled about.
During cutscenes that are not pre-rendered/CG, the framerate is just fine at 60fps on my machine. As soon as it cuts to a CG video, the framerate is only 30.
Why did they do this? It's really damn noticeable, especially when it cuts from in-game assets at 60fps to pre-rendered at 30fps back to in-game and so on. I'm sure this is fine on the consoles where it's probably 30fps all the time anyway, but it's very jarring playing it on the PC when that happens.

I agree with this. On the trailers, everything looks so smooth, but in game the videos are really slow (and noticeable), compared with 62fps I'm getting.
Also, I want to know: Who is playing on Insanity here?
To an extent it is. You can still get the "better" ending(s) by doing a lot of the tedious side quests.
Apparently Galactic Readiness is mostly bullshit anyways since you'll always have a chance to get the best endings by playing normally. The endings apparently are determined mostly by what you do at the end vs. anything else.

First off, she is white, second off that would just be moronic.
So, my thoughts on the game so far (only 2 1/2 hours in)
Cinematic presentation: Fantastic; Best in the series.
Voice Acting: Again, best in the series.
Combat: More challenging, more involved, more entertaining than ever.
RPG Elements: Improvement over Mass Effect 1 and 2; weapon mods and level-up mechanics combine nicely.
Visuals: Hit or miss, depending on area. Animations and textures can be kind of rough at times, though the lighting is improved. Easily the best optimized though; framerate on PC is silky-smooth.
Now for the one bad note: Whoever decided to include this much auto-dialogue made a terrible decision. I've counted no less than 3 times where Shepard said something that I wouldn't have wanted him to say. Not a deal breaker, but I can see it getting infuriating.
someone cant take a joke
No I can, assuming the joke is even remotely funny, that didn't really make any sense as a joke.
Please can anyone tell me if using a VPN will result in getting banned from origin? I don't particularly want to lose my game :v
Edit: Sorry, just checked on biowaru forums and according to Stanley Woo, you won't get banned, thanks anyway though!
Just pre-purchased the N7 collectors edition from play.com, now all I have to do is wait 3 days........

The thing I've liked so far in combat is that it's much more challenging and you actually have to move to do some damage. Unlike in Mass Effect 2 where you just camped behind a fucking box for the entire fighting sequences.
