Anyone who can answer this will really help me.
[sp]Alright so for curing the Genophage...the part where I can sabotage the shroud...I guess I'd get support of Salarians as well as krogan and turian because they dont know any better? Any way to take the Paragon path and reveal the shroud plans and still get help from Salarians? I don't want to continue until I know its a possibility.[/sp]
Just had to make this decision myself. From my understanding though, having [sp]Kirahee alive mitigates the decision somewhat; Hackett notes that STG are still on your side[/sp].
So, any way to get the multiplayer benefits in single player without actually palying mp? I don't care much for that until I finish the story.
I usually do SP before MP.
Yes it will actually help you in the end.
But I'm sure you can make it up if you're a total completionist.
No, it's just that that part is pretty difficult if you're new to the whole thing. Sooner or later, with some upgraded weapons and skills, you'll be an ass-kicker in no time.
I'm mostly finding that anyone with Biotics is just knocking me over and then killing me while I'm down, whereas my teammates are too slow to cover me and often die just as quickly as I do.
Then armored units like the Geth Armature just blast me in the face and it takes a fair bit of planning to take him down (Stasis, Pop CDs on drop, blast him with shotgun while circle-strafing, save medi-gel until last second, etc)
And the Assault Rifle is so horribly inaccurate.

This is what I've heard. BioWare has confirmed that MP is not required for any of the SP endings/benefits
but it will assist you and you supposedly need to be a pretty die-hard completionist to reap the same
rewards.

(first 4-5 hours spoiler)
I wonder how the [sp]Palaven[/sp] mission will change if Garrus is dead. Or how Tali's [sp]suicide scene[/sp] will play out if you've romanced her. Because I plan to do both of those on my second, asshole run.

How does it matter? It aint a bad picture.
Should I go to the start of the midnight launch event or should I just arrive shortly before 12am?
Just so everyone knows. It is pretty much useless to go for all paragon and renegade. It is about how much in total you have. I got full pretty easily in my play and I had about 1/5 red to 4/5 blue and got both options.
I'm having a conversation with someone who literally says I'm not allowed to criticize Mass Effect because I didn't help create it.
What.

More I think about it, the more I'm disappointed in Bioware for taking the lazy way out on that one. I know I defended them about it earlier but this is a company with a multi-million dollar budget. They're going to tell me that nobody could take a few days to create something more original? I mean, it looks good and all but it really is lacking in creativity and effort.

I think that, primarily, Bioware was scared that if they maqde Tali less human everyone would have been pissed saying "omfg she isnt that ugly change bak nao".
That's the problem with Bioware; now they the lack spine needed to make a brilliant game.
Spoiler regarding Tali, [sp]I saw the picture you have of her in ME3. So Quarians look like humans with white eyes? And they apparently grew five fingers instead of three. That's some quick evolution. Or are you going to tell me all Quarians wear three-finger gloves? I guess I imagined that race that has legs with different type of knee structure, number of fingers and piss poor immune system would look a bit more alien. Then again I lost all respect to that character and race after ME2 so I really shouldn't care.[/sp]

It's already been established that quarians look human, so that aspect doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that Bioware has a brilliant art department. They couldn't get a single concept artist to do their own original concept of Tali? Come on!
Wow, I hate James Vega a.k.a. neanderpig. Why did they make him look so literally fucking retarded? He reminds me of this guy:

And this dude:

I wouldn't mind his appearance so much if they had given him an actual mohawk, cueball on the sides. And that pig nose....
I thought he was going to be the guy we see in the original teaser trailer, the sniper in the tower. Oh well.
Haven't had a chance to play much, maybe he grows on you as a character.

Perhaps they figured that if they made her too alien BSN would be pissed, so they just heavily photoshopped a picture of a human. That's the trouble with faceless characters: if people develop interest with them, they'll fill in the face with whatever they want - so when it comes time to reveal the face, it'll shatter at least one person's expectations.

Right, but that's not really the problem that people are having. I actually don't take issue with how she looks; it works for me. What I take issue with is that it's a Photoshopped stock photo that could honestly be done in about an hour, if that.
I'm sorry, but that's just laziness or a lack of imagination, pure and simple.

Given its budget, I'd like to complain some of the animations aren't up to spiff either.

Indeed. Most of them do the job just fine but the running animations...they were fine in the previous two games. What happened?
a good unboxing and recap video:

My god, just met [sp]Grunt[/sp] and did his quest. I thought [sp]Rachni Queen is indoctrinated.[/sp] [sp]And seeing Grunt dying, made me very sad, but after that - he is alive, man, ive never been so happy[/sp]
So a character like Liara gets her own DLC and everything, but Tali gets [sp]Suicide[/sp] and an Stock royalty free image for her face, while many others become one-off cameos (Not that I mind, story explains it)
That's.... Kind of odd. I mean ME3 is still good so far, but I'm sorry Bioware, your pushiness of the Blue Waifu on me is not very substle.

Would some gay Kaidan romance make it up for you?
Personally, I think it's great the finally have him as an option. We can explain why he wasn't a option in ME1 now that Don't Ask Don't Tell has been repealed.

Sure Kaidan is cool (but I'm not replaying all of ME1-ME2 just to romance a character in a game). But it just amazes me how some characters seem to be Bioware's utter favorites while others seem kind of obvious they don't like or don't want around.
I also just love that [sp] Shepard flashes back to LIARA if you romanced anyone that IS NOT Kaidan or Ashley, Its Shepard's last moment before he dies and this is what you give me? Come on guys, its a 1 second video, you couldn't just record the others looking at me?[/sp]
I mean I love Mass-Effect 3, but it feels on some kind of big points it has basically went "nope"

The game is pretty great overall, but it's very clear that some aspects just don't have any real love given to them. Eden Prime in particular looks like an environment from 2005; dunno what the hell happened there.

Yeah, I don't know what it is. It feels like ME3 is a great game, but it feels like at certain moments they just kind of want to corner cut.

I literally have 5 of those sitting in the package (I got them from San Diego Comic Con.)
