Look, I'll spoil it, at least how it did for me.
[sp] He fights Kai-Leng, gets stabbed in the gut, he dies later on in the hospital as he has lost too much blood, Kolyat and you Pray over him as he dies[/sp]
[sp]so how long does it take before Kai-Leng inevitably dies
I mean first he pisses in everyone's cereal then he goes and does that, Sheperd would be pissed[/sp]

Hi everyone,
I've seen some posts where there is a bit of confusion about the ability to get the "perfect ending" by only playing single-player, because if you don't play multiplayer (or the iOS game, Infiltrator) your Galactic Readiness stays at 50%.
You do NOT have to play multiplayer to get the best single-player endings.
Here's a bit of clarification:
Your ending(s) are determined by your "Effective Military Strength" (let's call it EMS for now) bar. Focus on that bar - that is your indicator of how well you will do in the end-game.
You can maximize your EMS just by collecting War Assets in the single-player game. There is a certain threshhold of these you would need to exceed (I can't get too specific) but I can tell you there are MORE than the required amount that can be gathered in the single-player campaign.
"Galactic Readiness" is a modifier you can improve by playing multiplayer. That is to say, if you play a lot of multiplayer, you will need less War Assets from single-player to fill up your EMS bar (ie it will balance out the requirements to account for you playing in both modes). Single-player game play does not impact that bar.
EMS = success. EMS can be maximized via collecting war assets alone, even if your Galactic Readiness is 50%.
Is apparently what a dev posted in the official forums. Maybe late. Don't know, this thread goes fairly fast. Just felt like posting.
Can't wait for Blasto 7!
Can anyone identify the actor playing Cpt. Aaron Summers, the undercover Alliance officer at C-Sec? I've heard that voice somewhere before; sounds like a TV or movie actor, not just a VO.
I'm honestly shocked at how many of your squadmates died.
In all of my playthroughs of ME2, I only ever lost 1 or 2.
All of those are scripted to happen, they are there from the beginning. Its from the SR1's crew.
[sp]Mordin, Thane, and I think Miranda all die during their missions, so it makes sense for them to be there[/sp]
I got a little bleary eyed when [sp]Mordin died[/sp]
i was about to get real bummed because [sp]i thought grunt was dead.. then he comes back out of the cave covered in rachni blood like a fuckin champ go grunt you tough bastard[/sp]
Jean do you know if ME3 textures are moddable yet?
the female walk animation is so terrible

I loved that mission on the moon. there better be more like it
yeah but dude look

And not a single fuck was given.
And not a single fuck was given.
If you don't give a shit about any of the story or characters, you're playing a story-based series wrong.
And not a single fuck was given.
What? Wrex>All.
Is apparently what a dev posted in the official forums. Maybe late. Don't know, this thread goes fairly fast. Just felt like posting.
devs also said neutral dialogue options were in the final game and left out of the demo, but that was a fucking lie, so i won't believe it until i see it.
right now i'm sidequesting like a boss so i'm hoping i'll unlock the best ending. i don't like that you need to do a mission to get rid of reaper awareness (as far as ive tested) so i'm a little more behind than i want to be. i also don't seem to have all systems available to me to gather objects and i'm [sp]about to stop the reaper!geth on the quarian homeworld[/sp]. i hope i don't fuck up and go too far.
game is fun, i feel like a boss gathering all of these races together ([sp]except the salarians because they wanted me to betray wrex, mordin, eve, and by proxy grunt. hell no[/sp]) and my shotgun is way overpowered at the moment so combat is the most fun for me at close quarters.

Fucking Ashley shot him in the back on my playthrough, because of that I left the bitch to go boom.
She was not missed.
What? Wrex>All.
Basically having Wrex or not determines which side you should side with in the Krogan/Salarian debacle.
im curious to see how the tuchanka missions pan out without wrex there
Fucking Ashley shot him in the back on my playthrough, because of that I left the bitch to go boom.

IF I COULD TURN BACK TIIIIIME
I wouldn't fucking romance Ash, I'd kill myself and cause a paradox if I had to

This. At least i stuck with my original choices throughout the entire series.
Then it pans out and reveals the 50k year later race are the Yahg :v:
I wouldn't mind. They seem to have about the greatest potential of all the discovered races in the galaxy at the moment.
while talking about wrex, is it me or does he look pretty boss in ME3. His face looks really high res.

So I picked up this heavy weapon on a mission, but ended it while holding it and never got to use it.
Now it keeps randomly appearing on the Normandy, seemingly following me from one level to another. Seen it in the shuttle bay, engineering and the crew level. If it's in the CIC it's well-hidden, maybe it's spying in the war room? About to check the captain's quarters.
I think it's trying to indoctrinate me.
How many actual side missions are there? Aside from the one I got from Hackett to get those reaper artifacts every other mission just involves going to a reaper controlled cluster and scanning for something. Or finding random shit for random people.
About 4 hours in... can't find too much to be happy about with this game right now :/
-EDI's design looks just fucking awful..
-Everyone seems to have beefed and boobed up. Not a complaint, but a notice.
-Carrying 4 guns is actually detrimental to the Soldier now? Why? If I carry 4 guns I have upwards of +100 recharge time on my powers. Way to at making the Soldiers one skill useless.
-Why is the Normandy so goddamn dark? A tiny nitpick, but I really can't see shit.
-Plot seems really, really week. "EVERYONE FLY AROUND THE GALAXY AND GATHER MACGUFFIN PARTS"
I know there's still so much more game to go... but I'm not wowwed over yet. I've sunk 60+ hours into ME2 and jesus knows how many for the first one (I would assume upwards of 80). I'm really not enjoying this one anywhere as much as the others.
one of the things that bothers me... some of the writing in this game is so hollywood, i would not mind a hollywood "perfect" ending where shepard says a one-liner and headbutts a reaper to death and then all reapers die and shepard poses with an american flag. it would kind of fit along with the rest of the "quality bioware writing" in the game. shit like "where ever he is, i'm sure he's putting in a good word for us" when a really important and lovable character has a really moving sacrifice scene. it's like someone wrote the mission/scene, and then the rest of the game was given to hepler. give me a fucking break. and the romance scenes? kill me kill me kill me
but instead they tried to be deep and [sp]try to rip off The Matrix[/sp] but when you look at it its just... its fucking spaghetti. the shit they're trying to pull off here doesn't fit with the rest of the game's 50% really good writing and 50% really REALLY hokey writing.
