About 6 hours in now.
Having Wrex on the normandy changes a lot of my opinion of this game
but motherfucker, Edi's design is just so awful

Oh Bioware.
I'm pretty sure they did this in Afterlife back in ME2 aswell.
As in, NPCs in inaccessible areas being untextured.
So I'm on the Citadel. I go to Purgatory. I chat up the [sp]chick from Omega[/sp] before I notice Vega at the bar.
He's got an icon on him, I keep pressing to talk to him but nothing ever happens. He doesn't even acknowledge me. Bug? Intentional?
Bug. Should activate his next dialogue progression.
Happened to me on a few missions, sometimes going to other locations in the Citadel, and returning fixes it. Other times, it is necessary to return to the Normandy and then return to the Citadel.

I've had this mission for awhile and I've been in and out of the Citadel multiple times and It still wont let me continue it.

I actually like it. Gives it a concept art feel
Quite a bit farther in the game, Tali comes just after.
So it's a bit pointless to wait for kaidan to come with me for the eden prime mission?

So, any word on the endings yet?
Oh god I just saw the faces the Grissom Academy Biotics pull after Shepard gives an awkward kiss to Jack in front of them.

Bioware quality
See, this is what I'm talking about. Being able to make everything work out perfectly by picking just the right choices. It tickles the cockles of my heart.
I finally realized what EDI's new design is
[thumb]http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/073/8/2/Sexy_Futurama_Robots_by_Avalonis.jpg[/thumb]
This.
Seriously though, why was that what they went with
she looks SO OUT OF PLACE standing next to everyone.
I like EDI as a squadmate, cool idea, but in a world with badass Synths like the Geth, how did this pass?

bug. do a mission and go back later and it'll trigger the conversation
Wow, Jack's romance Pt.2 is lame
She had the best romance path, IMO, actually tugged me heartstrings.
...and is it totally wrong that I find her crazy hot in this one?
I would NOT have objected to a sex scene.
Best part about the endings is that they're literally the Deus Ex 1 endings and you can choose them like in DXHR. :v:
"Where's Garrus?"
>"Calibrating guns!"
*walk to Garrus
"Calibrating guns is like a vacation to me!"
a part of me dies when video games like to refer to the memes they've spawned, but I don't know why

can i just say that the reason that DXHR ended like that was because the entire game was an examination of the morality of human augmentation, and the ending was designed simply to let you make up your mind on the entire situation and then reflect on the possible consequences of your decision
it was designed with that in mind
the argus looks nice with green paint

bullshit the game wasn't that clever
they were just lazy
Great game, intense at the end, amazingly shit ending.
What's REALLY seriously bothering me about this game is the complete lack of dialogue from Shepard
I choose his dialogue so infrequently now it really bugs me, even on Role play or whatever Shepard still auto talks for about 75% of the time, and then whenever there is an option it's extremely limited
I'm also not thrilled with the story so far... big macguffin is a lame plot device, but travelling to the planets to unite the races is pretty neat.
I'm getting a feeling from Bioware that they're more interested in being action oriented than Roleplay or stories, as of late (Looking at you, DA2)
bullshit the game wasn't that clever

if being wrong could be translated into physical mass, the weight generated by that statement would cause the entire solar system to collapse into a black hole
that game was so fucking smart it made stephen hawking look like pat robertson
deus ex human revolution gives me a philosophy boner the size of the eiffel tower

did you actually play it? it was pretty damn clever, lol.
Anyone have a fix for the face import? I really don't want to start the game without my shep from ME1
did you actually play it? it was pretty damn clever, lol.
the first one or the most recent one?
maybe I'm a stickler for classic stuff but I only thought the newest one was about a 7/10 or so
it was good but it really wasn't fantastic
I know that's gonna get me flamed to hell and back but I really didn't feel it was amazing. I felt it had a pretty weak plot, seriously lame RPG elements and strange difficulty. The sneaking around though was some of the best fun I've had in games though, so it was worth the price there.
So, here is my take on the ending of the game. You seriously do not want to read this unless you have finished the entire game.
[sp]Wow, can I just say that honestly felt like the most miserable and irritating ending ever. I have been disappointed by ending and let down by them, but I've never found one that actually made me angry at the game. Everything was great up until the final fight at the missile launchers. From the stupid number of Banshees pressing down on to the Reaper constantly strafing the area with it's laser cannon, it was just a massive clusterfuck that took too long to end. Then, you have the silly charge down the hill where everyone gets obliterated by sheer bad luck apparently. This leaves you with an excruciatingly long crawl through the Citadel that is in no small way reminiscent of the Microwave Tunnel from the end of Metal Gear Solid 4. Then you get your little stand off with the Illusive Man. This was actually good, up until the part where the final Paragon/Renegade conversation option was locked despite the fact that I had full Paragon, so nice work on that one boys. But all of this could have been overlooked if the final sequence weren't so frustrating. You get lifted up on this little platform where the kid from the beginning is apparently the actual Catalyst (and apparently the creator of the Reapers some how as well).
He basically gives you some story about how the Reapers have to do their work because if they don't wipe out all intelligent life, then synthetic life will. When organic life is threatened by synthetic life that they created, the obvious solution is to create incredibly powerful synthetic life to kill both groups. But, the forward-thinking child-god tells you that you have a choice to make now, since for some reason his old solution failed. You can destroy the Reapers, but this will also destroy the Citadel and the Mass Relays and, ohh yeah, everything synthetic (this means Shepard and the Geth as well.) So all that work I spent uniting the Quarians and Geth really makes no difference because the Geth die anyway. Legion didn't die in vain, guys. Or you can take the Illusive Man's idea and seize control of the Reapers, which happens to vaporize Shepard in the process. This one however leaves the rest of synthetic life alone somehow and also leaves the Citadel still standing. But there is a third option! You can combine organic and synthetic life together. (Can't overthrow yourselves, now can you guys?) This also vaporizes Shepard, but he is instead broken up and scattered across the galaxy somehow. This still destroys the Citadel, but leaves synthetic life alone, most likely to turn in to horrible abominations wishing for death later on, given that the Geth don't exactly have the most natural body structure around. In all three endings, the Normandy and its crew (including your squadmates who are now back on the ship) gets caught in the blast of your choosing as it races away and crashes on some unknown jungle planet where they all get out to find that it fortunately has a breathable atmosphere.
Credits roll, then the last thing you see is a boy (apparently the child-god again) telling this old man how great the story of The Shepard is and that he wants to go in to space and wants another story of The Shepard.
Ohh, and choosing to destroy the Reapers is apparently the bad guy ending, somehow.
So really, your actions don't matter. If you had a relationship with one of the crew members, its pointless because you're dead. And if you choose to do what you originally intended you're the bad guy and you've just killed all the Geth (and EDI too, most likely), destroyed galactic civilization, and abandoned all your friends and loved ones to die on an unknown and probably hostile planet. I really wish I could stop myself just before the final mission and not complete it. I'd never know what happens, but that would be a small price to pay compared to the reality of the situation.[/sp]
I love how you finally get to see the Shepard VI.
"If we work together, we can defeat anything. Except those reapers, have you seen one of those things?" Or something along those lines.
