The game is fucking stupid amounts of fun. And I haven't seen any bullshit story in the game so far, with the exception of the endings.
They didn't fuck up the game, it's great.
I also don't get where people are getting this "They royally fucked up the story and previous games don't matter" stuff from. I'm enjoying ME3 so much it's stupid, and I don't care all that much about the choices in ME1 and 2 not changing the story on a galactic scale. They may have preached it, and they didn't deliver, but it doesn't really matter.

Also the story to the game is fine, excluding the ending, which they will hopefully retconn later with a DLC or patch if enough people get pissy about it, myself included.

the Avenger and GPR weigh absolutely nothing, if you're a soldier having +200% power regen speed is godsend if you use the Concussive Shot that uses an Ammo ability

That's not entirely fair. The vast, vast majority of the plot writing in Mass Effect 3 works just fine. Hell, up until the final push I'm hard pressed to find any major issues. Bioware just chokes in the homestretch.
