I've gotta say, despite the fact I was only playing on normal (I think), the gameplay for the adept felt a lot better than ME2 this time around (even though I've only played IT on insanity). I felt more powerful in general, using consecutive biotic abilities created an unstable mass effect field which would detonate and inflict FURTHER damage... it was really cool.
Got the demo code ...wait. Shit. SHIT I DIDN'T COPY IT DOWN [editline]11th February 2012[/editline] oh wait I can get it again thank fuck for that
Goddamn, I only have PC and PS3. v:v:v
Wait, where are these codes coming from?
Oh lord that was a funny bug When you're trying to reach the Normandy right before you see a Cruiser Blow up and damage the building you're on I leaped in front of Anderson and got stuck and he pushed me all the way to the cutscene.
If someone wants a demo code message me. I just won one trying to get the avatar item and don't want to play it until it's released.
Just played it with my brother. It was awesome. I dont think the online servers are online yet, so no-one can get access to the online things earlier than the 14th
Quarian art works (including mask less): http://i.imgur.com/LpscQ.jpg
4th and 5th one give me massive Tau vibes. Also coming out of ME1 into ME2, it feels damn near unplayable, possibly due in part to the load screens which are taking forever (got Origin and Steam running at the same time for the game's overlay) and possibly as well due to how gross the combat feels. It's weird, but I'm enjoying ME1's combat quite a bit more over ME2's.

:quagmire: Got one of those early demo codes by facebook, thank you Pruxoid, you Salarian Genius :v:
Wow that was fucking easy. I had no idea what to do so I just clicked the 4 circles really fast, then I got the key code. Hooray!
And below a nice collage of who lives, can or will die and joins your squad: http://i.imgur.com/tRpDs.png spoilers obviously
I question the validity of this. A number of things here contradict what I've seen in the leak, unless this is new?
Gonna try the demo soon, I'll tell you guys what I think (360)
I loved the demo, it looks better playing better, the Cutscenes are better (thought it felt like there were too many cluttered together, I hope the whole game isn't like that) The frame rate threw me off a bit because I'm not used to playing it on the 360, but what can ya do.
Miranda and Liara down a bunch, Thane and Tali up, and I'm okay with this.
No, Tali is too high.
Hey, I liked Jack. But to the Demo. Can you access the new class specific power? We know Engineer got a sentry and Vanguard barrier explosion.
Was it just me or did the frame rate seem to jump around?
So which race are you getting rid of in Mass Effect 3? You know, everything you do has a huge impact on everything, so why not get rid of the Batarians and Vorcha, ehh?
I've killed my share of Batarians. The number is somewhere in the 300 000 range. Though I suppose some more wouldn't hurt. Seriously speaking, the Batarians are assholes. "You can't negotiate with humans" "Just shoot them". I mean they are so fucking butthurt that they choose to ignore all the good humans have done. You don't respect Shepard, you get dead.

The galaxy will be a better place if the dominant races are the Salarians, Geth and Humanity. Just discovered fully how god-awful Origin is, ME2 is now being fairly unstable, buggy and the loading times seem to be around 50/100% longer.
I don't think letting the Geth function is a good idea. The next thing they might be the Reaper Faction v 2.0. AI is bloody unpredictable. I would happily spare the Turians and the Asari. But something bothers me, the Turians are somewhat religious(temples and shit) and the Asari are way too horny if you impress them. I only find Salarians bros. And Turians because Garrus is a bro too. I'll also spare the Quarians but if Mass Effect 3 will leave me a choice between the Geth and Quarians, then I'll spare the damn things in a spacesuit. I think I'll erase Hanar, those talking elephants and the volus. Drell have the potential to help me in the last space battle for Earth. Who did I left? I'll give the Batarians and Vorcha to the Reapers. Ahh yes the Krogan. Fuck them.
And below a nice collage of who lives, can or will die and joins your squad: http://i.imgur.com/tRpDs.png spoilers obviously
This isn't completely true. (Major fucking spoilers- why I know them is beyond me...) [sp]From the dialogue you can gather that Legion has a chance of dying if you side with the quarians and choose to obliterate the geth (both Tali and Legion can survive if you come to a neutral conclusion- most likely via paragon/renegade persuasion). Also from the dialogue, you can gather that Miranda can die if certain decisions are made (which are not specified) or can survive (there's two sets of dialogue involving Oriana, Miranda, and Shepard- one where Miranda says her final words to Oriana and another about the success of their mission. The Virmire survivor has, like, three chances to die (confronting Udina, gathering the prothean, and confronting Kai Leng in the monastery). It's a small mistake but whatever- there could even be more. Kelly can die, albeit off screen (Not sure if it's regardless of decisions or not). Wrex has a chance to die as well. He and Shepard can get into another argument about what's 'right for the krogan' if you side with the salarians (Don't take that one too much to heart, though, I'm not a hundred percent sure). Thane's death is a little ambiguous in the script. So far, I have only heard of him dying for running after FemShep and succumbing to his disease. Otherwise, there is a moment where he is shot and his death is not mentioned and then another moment where he is in a clinic recovering. [/sp] At least that's what I gathered from the script. It's still unknown as to what will make it in the full game and how exactly events will play out. Not sure if the picture is outdated, but I just thought I'd point that out. On another note, spoiler brothers, am I the only one who is okay with [sp]Mordin's death mainly because it's a suitable death for his character...[/sp]
The demo has quelled many of my fears about Mass Effect 3. The action is much more interesting than in Mass Effect 2 and the cover system has been improved a lot. The gameplay videos released make the melee takedowns look easy. They are not easy. Your health does not regenerate automatically any more - you must use Medi-gel to heal yourself. The animations during conversations are so much more believable and human. The music is superb. There is now more banter between squadmates, which makes them less static. You are able to customise your Shepard in the demo and you can enter an identity code from Mass Effect 2.

Personally I wouldn't be too sorry to see the vorcha bite the dust, since they come across as unapologetic dicks, but knowing those roach-people they'd probably survive regardless. Batarians would be a bit higher on the list, seeing as some of them aren't as bad, but many are still dicks. Bro-gans deserve to be liberated somewhat from the genophage, though they shouldn't be completely liberated; make the birth viability rate 1 in 100 as opposed to 1000. Quarians have travelled long enough and deserve their new beginning, hopefully coexisting peacefully with their ancestors' legacy at long last (Rannoch and the geth). I guess the council races could also be saved somewhat, though not as much; a humble rebirth would do them some good, and the asari would be MORE than capable of rebuilding their gene pool what with their unique breeding capabilities. The hanar, i'm hoping that they don't become crusaders in the new world after the Harvest, and the volus might come in handy to reestablish the galactic economy, plus the elcor could be saved just because I feel like it. I'd need to see what the raloi are all about before I build a consensus on them...
As if work camps aren't essentially slavery
Hmmm, well in that case the batarians seem even more like North Korea than I previously thought...
Got it on my third try :v:
The demo has quelled many of my fears about Mass Effect 3. The action is much more interesting than in Mass Effect 2 and the cover system has been improved a lot. (sounds solid) The gameplay videos released make the melee takedowns look easy. They are not easy. (how does it work?) Your health does not regenerate automatically any more - you must use Medi-gel to heal yourself. (FUCK YES. I remember seeing the health bar being somewhat divided into several pieces, so does that mean it only regenerates the current chunk, or have they completely thrown away health regen? 'cause I think I remember it working like that back at Eurogamer...) The animations during conversations are so much more believable and human. (Sounds good, I can get behind that) The music is superb. (Good music is always nice. Is it more "theatrical/orchestral", or does it return to a more "sci-fi" techno-ish vibe?) There is now more banter between squadmates, which makes them less static. (Sounds like there's gonna be a bit more flavour... I like it) You are able to customise your Shepard in the demo and you can enter an identity code from Mass Effect 2. (Customisability is always a good thing.)
I now have confidence that i'll buy this regardless of my feelings concerning EA and Origin, if it's gonna be like that. Pity BioWare's stuck with EA, meaning my money goes toward EA as well (as opposed to just BioWare), but you can't always get what you want. (What I want being that EA goes to hell but BioWare survives under a better publisher; sadly such a thing is near impossible.)
