I know, damnit I wasn't mean to him. :v: I just didn't want to have a relationship with him.
They give you three chances to turn back while at the place where you initiate the romance (Purgatory.) At none of those times does he make a move on you, or react disappointed to you not showing interest.

hey so i'm a single player kind of guy, i don't want to play multiplayer. but i also don't want that stupid bullshit to fuck me over in the end. is there any way i can edit my multiplayer stats? fuck bioware for doing this.
Man, the ending left me feeling dead inside. This is my favorite franchise of entertainment, and I'm left with no closure aside from the setup for paid-DLC or a sequel or something. I'm still doing another playthrough, but man... I'm rather pissed off about this. On a side note, how do Asari, you know... work down there? There's obviously a place for the babies to come out of but is it all... compatible? Same goes for Turians for that matter. Do they just have scaly dicks or what?

Anyway, pretty obvious that Asari has a vagina, but they don't need it for mating. Turians well... I wouldn't fucking know :v:
http://www.gamespot.com/features/why-do-you-hate-mass-effect-3-6365175/ Gamespot posted a pretty good article on Mass Effect and games in general going down the shitter a small excerpt
For many gamers, "Call of Duty" no longer represents a series of first-person shooters. Instead, for right or for wrong, those very words represent cookie-cutter sequel development, extreme linearity, and tremendous financial success. "World of Warcraft" isn't just a popular online role-playing game: it's the watering down of an entire genre to appeal to the masses.

Oh man, this game is full of ass, asscrack, boobs, bigger boobs, more cleavage, camels and nipples. Did I mention you shoot shit too?
You could have just said it was a bioware game
I think, in general, the game was good, but the endings left a lot to be desired. Definitely was not the proper ending to a trilogy epic. and I think we can all agree that the explanation for the Reapers was utterly nonsensical. [sp]WE MADE SYNTHETICS TO KILL YOU SO YOU DONT MAKE WORSE SYNTHETICS[/sp]
And now I'm stuck and I cannot move. Shepard just doesn't move, pressing WASD does nothing. FFS BioWare did you even Q&A this game. Goddamn it.
And now I'm stuck and I cannot move. Shepard just doesn't move, pressing WASD does nothing. FFS BioWare did you even Q&A this game. Goddamn it.
at one point after a cutscene my shepard's head began spinning in circles
No idea if this breaks some kind of spoiler code so excuse me if I do and be warned not to read anything you shouldn't. So, after completing the trilogy of one of my favourite RPGs I suddenly feel a like I've been kicked in the stomach. Bioware expects us to develop a relationship with these characters, learn who they are, fight for them, and ultimately determine whether they live or die, but when they decide that all of these decisions are all but crucial: irrelevant, unimportant, and, worst of all, pointless. That's what the entire game feels to me now. After so much talk of "hope" and finally bringing the fight against the Reapers, they culminate all of your previous work into one final moment and throw it away, never to be spoken of again. They've effectively closed a writer's treasured book, one which has had blood, sweat, and tears poured into it, and with one swift motion, before the writer finished his ending to what could have been an amazing story, destroyed whatever work he had done and replaced it with "The End". I don't understand how they thought this was acceptable.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but, I feel the only way to properly end the game would be to write an ending of my own. No matter what product I would produce, I would be happier with that than with anything Bioware could ever give me.
If you alt+f4 right after your conversation with Anderson finishes on the citadel, I guarantee you that you will be much happier with the ending.
Man, the ending left me feeling dead inside. This is my favorite franchise of entertainment, and I'm left with no closure aside from the setup for paid-DLC or a sequel or something.
I've been giving the ending some more thought (huge spoilers for those who haven't beaten it) [sp]The problem with the endings is not just the choices that they presented to us, but also the near-complete lack of closure that all of the possible endings delivered. I'm not particularly against the three options I was given; they were somewhat reasonable and they were pretty damn conclusive. The presentation of these endings is where the game runs into problems. Up until that point, the game was phenomenal. It almost could have ended with Shepard sitting next to Anderson, looking at the view. And then we see the child avatar, who kind of lessens the threat of the reapers by his very presence. I can understand the logic behind "Harvesting the civilizations to protect the next cycle". I can understand that something probably was controlling the Reaper's desires all along. But as the avatar himself said, Shepard's very presence there changed everything. The plans were altered, and new possibilities were open. HERE is where Bioware should have changed things: - They can keep the Destroy, Control, and Synthesis endings, but they need to be altered somewhat. Having to destroy the geth and the Mass Relays is a bunch of bullshit, for example. What was the point in the transcendence of the geth if I have to murder them? And with the Mass Relays destroyed, galactic infrastructure is gone. So, we fix these endings by allowing the POSSIBILITY that with enough war assets, the Crucible can be tuned to only destroy/control the Reapers, while leaving the rest of the galaxy untouched. That would allow us to feel a larger feeling of triumph. - Additionally, there should be two more endings. The first is the truly "bad" ending, where the Reapers actually win. You don't have enough War Assets, the Reapers annihilate you, the end. - But there also needs to be a "triumphant" ending, where Shepard Paragon/Renegades his way through the discussion with the Catalyst and says "Look out there. Look at what we've accomplished. Turians and Krogan. Asari, Salarians, Volus, Hanar. Even the quarians and the geth are fighting together. We've proven that organics and synthetics CAN co-exist, and goddamn it we deserve the chance to continue proving it." This would result in the Reapers backing off (or shutting down, whatever), with what's left of Galactic Society intact. This would be a true scene of triumph, with Shepard reuniting with his friends, standing on Earth and looking at the wreckage...but with a feeling of hope. - Finally, and this needs to apply to all the endings: There needs to be closure, on every level. For example, instead of going instantly from Joker frantically trying to save the Normandy to the crash on an unknown planet, there should be cutscenes of all the characters and societies you have grown to love and how they're responding to the Reaper's defeat before we see that Joker survived. This would allow us to finally close the book on the universe, knowing what happens and that there is some form of hope. Instead, none of that is shown and for all we know the galaxy is fucked.[/sp] Just some thoughts, and I'm working on fleshing them out.

Just got to London. The conversation between the doctor and the civilian...jesus christ.
Mass Effect 3 can get quite beautiful when it wants to: http://i.imgur.com/ITFKZ.jpg (spoilers.) Am I the only one that got Halo 3 vibes from it?
Just got to London. The conversation between the doctor and the civilian...jesus christ.
The whole "long walk" part of the finale was glorious.
The whole "long walk" part of the finale was glorious.
[sp]The Illusive Man conversation and watching him break down was so much more satisfying then Saren. Martin Sheen really knows how to be an amazing VA.[/sp]
[sp]The Illusive Man conversation and watching him break down was so much more satisfying then Saren. Martin Sheen really knows how to be an amazing VA.[/sp]
That whole sequence was incredible. Again, 99.8% of the game was jawdroppingly good. It's just that last 0.2% that just knocks the whole thing apart.

So, I saw a while back someone posted to "do all the side missions you want to do before landing on [sp]Rannoch[/sp]." Is [sp]Rannoch[/sp] the beginning of the end-game or something? No other spoilers please, I just got that mission.
I might get a disagree from this, but [sp]the Catalyst ending would've still been perfect if they at least provided some closure following your decision.[/sp]
[sp]If you look at my post above (the spoiler filled one), I do tend to agree, though with a few caveats. My problem isn't with the choices they gave us, but with how they were presented. We NEED to see how the galaxy responds to the Reaper threat being ended. We NEED to see how our friends go on with their lives. And we sure as hell shouldn't need to destroy the Geth and Mass Relays for no good goddamn reason. But there definitely should have been two more endings added: One where we lose, completely, and one where it's the triumphant ending that both ME1 and ME2 gave us.[/sp]
Not even close, however doing the "Reaper Base" is the point of no return for the Quarian/Geth arc.
Alright, many thanks. I was worried for a moment.

A paragon/Renegade/Asset checks, no MP bullshit, and this ending would've been great.

You even get a chance to back down. That's pretty much as spoiler-free as I can make it. Certain sidemissions expire between storyline missions however.
