So, I saw a while back someone posted to "do all the side missions you want to do before landing on [sp]Rannoch[/sp]." Is [sp]Rannoch[/sp] the beginning of the end-game or something? No other spoilers please, I just got that mission.
Can anyone explain why javik doesn't look like the prothean statues on ilos
Can anyone explain why javik doesn't look like the prothean statues on ilos
Those are another race, the one that came before the Protheans.
Can anyone explain why javik doesn't look like the prothean statues on ilos
Javik himself explained it, actually. [sp]The ruins we see on Ilos are not prothean, but rather that of a species that came before the prothean empire. Kind of retcon, but I'll accept it.[/sp]
Can anyone explain why javik doesn't look like the prothean statues on ilos
[sp]Because apparently, the Prothean are a group of many races that are united under an empire[/sp]
Can you actually bang Miranda again in ME3?
There is hardly any banging in this game.
We also need a ending where Joker was behind the entire Reaper invasion. From the first game, he was the one behind the curtain, he was the catalyst, the mainframe of the world. He was watching over Shephard. He planned everything at the end to destroy all lifeforms.
Well shit. I'm going to bed then.
Can anyone explain why javik doesn't look like the prothean statues on ilos
If you talk to Javik enough, he mentions that [sp]Ilos was occupied by the Inusannon race in a previous cycle. I think BioWare is trying to say the statues are the Inusannon.[/sp]
Javik himself explained it, actually. [sp]The ruins we see on Ilos are not prothean, but rather that of a species that came before the prothean empire. Kind of retcon, but I'll accept it.[/sp]
Oh, be honest bitchers, Javik looks so much cooler than long spindly tentacle creatures.
Sorry to beat a dead horse, but, I feel the only way to properly end the game would be to write an ending of my own. No matter what product I would produce, I would be happier with that than with anything Bioware could ever give me.
I didn't write it, but I surely made my own ending in my head.
Where the Crucible is actually a planet sized EMP that affects only the Reapers, you place the assets on the galaxy map to fight the Reaper invasion and clean up the homeworlds, then you have your happy ending with your love interest and friends.
If you talk to Javik enough, he mentions that [sp]Ilos was occupied by the Inusannon race in a previous cycle. I think BioWare is trying to say the statues are the Inusannon.[/sp]
Yes but the picture for the codex is them Damn it bioware.

I do agree it does look pretty nice, some rather spoilerish screens I took using the FXAA plugin with some custom color settings.

I am horribly displeased with the ending(s).
They pulled a Deus Ex:HR on us, damnit. Out of all that you pulled int he previous games, the only thing it provides in ME3 is some dialogue and some numbers in the war room. The ending relies completely on your EMS and even then, EVEN THEN... the endings just... don't cut it. I'm not pleased with them. no closure. I have to either:
[sp]
-destroy ALL Synthetic life, which while that kills the reapers, that also nukes the relays and kills the geth. I spent SO MUCH TIME fixing the damn geth issue and making sure that they don't die and they live happily with the quarians and for WHAT? I have to kill them off anywho? Thats just bullshit.
-Seize control of the Reapers, which kills me (somehow), gives dead me control of the space cuttlefish (somehow), and then... what? What do I do after dead-me gets control? Fly off? how do I tell the peeps that I don't wanna space-rape them? Even if I do tell them and they (somehow) believe me, then what? what is the point of the Reapers at that point forward? Are we peacekeepers? support ships? galactic police? Do we build a massive space-aquarium and house ourselves in it? WHATS THE POINT? WHAT DOES THIS ACCOMPLISH?
-fuse synthetic and organic life, which puts us at the top of the evolutionary chain. We're perfect at that point, nowhere to go, nothing to do. No war, famine, disease, conflict, and no point to existing any further anyway.
I hate this, there is no right answer, no "good" ending, nothing. Just this bullshit 3 way choice that ends horribly either way.[/sp]

The [sp]Geth Consensus[/sp] mission surprised me with a left hook of potential pictures. For example, I know it's kind of minor but I really enjoyed the shades of blue they were able to use in this scene for that mission: http://imgur.com/sZFGy,i5r3F,mvYy2
It seems to make your Shepard look like an Illusive Man wannabe in some parts, at least for mine.
Anyone else love that the Protheans [sp]named all their VIs with the letter 'V'? Vigil, Victory & Vendetta[/sp].
Origin gave me an extra collectors edition CD-Key for DLC mishaps and not giving me BF3 for pre-ordering :)

well I hope some sort of official response is coming soon to BSN, The community needs it right now.

Jessica Merizan is the Bioware Community Manager. So, they're at least aware of the anger, but they're waiting to respond.

How can they create after such a ending is my question. Certainly you can't really play as [sp]Shephard[/sp] Anymore.

[sp] Get over 5000 and do the destroy ending and Shepard survives. I just can't see how he/she would get off the Citadel now that all tech has been destroyed[/sp]
Thats the only way they could continue, unless they made another ending...

They didn't. From IGN forums;
"ME1
Drew Karpyshyn (lead writer) - went to Bioware Austin sometime during ME2's development; he quit Bioware on Feb. 15, 2012, and left the video game industry
Chris L'Etoile - quit Bioware in 2008 to go to ZeniMax Online (the parent company of Bethesda)
Luke Kristjanson - moved to Dragon Age team
Patrick Weekes - still writes for Mass Effect games
Mac Walters - still writes for Mass Effect series, currently lead writer as of ME2
ME2 (In addition to those listed above, ME2 has these writers on the credits):
Malcolm Azania - left Bioware for Maxis
Chris Hepler- Unknown
Brian Kindregan - left Bioware for Blizzard
Jay Turner - Unknown
Therefore of all the original ME1 writers, only 2 remain (Patrick Weekes and Mac Walters). And Patrick Weekes didn't even do much for ME1."
Curious enquiry: Has any game ever patched in a new ending to the original game due to outcry? Fallout: Broken Steel comes to mind, although that was paid, and existed as more of a 'free roam' than 'poor ending' situation.
Just finished ME3. A truly great series, some of the best games I've ever played. I'm amazed how the games can make you feel a strong emotional connection to the characters. I nearly cried during some parts of the game. However, as people have previously pointed out, there are some flaws with the ending, but Mass Effect is an experience I won't soon forget.
Yes but the picture for the codex is them Damn it bioware.

The codex is an in-universe type of thing.
The codex says that Sovereign is a Geth ship and not a Reaper. So the codex represents what the galaxy thinks is the correct information.
Oh god.
You know what's just fucking awful?
Trying to explain what a "Reaper" is to a friend of mine.
She... she just wouldn't stop asking. I told her I couldn't explain them in a way that would make them sound cool.

Also, can I mention how bad the "running and tripping" animation was for that part?
