It's my understanding that the [sp]synergy ending saves all technology, but you die, is there any way to save shepard while still keeping galactic travel possible and without destroying most of the technology throughout the Milky Way?[/sp]
(Ending spoilers, so obviously don't click if you don't want it ruined)
I wish Bioware would've gone with a standard cliché ending.
[sp]THAT IS IF SHEPARD DECIDED TO STAY AND FIX THE FUCKED UP SHIT INSTEAD OF BAILING FROM EARTH LIKE A CUNT.[/sp]
[sp]A Renegade probably would, in which case the whole universe basically become North Korea.
Paragon's cool though, so he's probably just leaving Earth for now to go get lots and lots of resources to build some new Relays, as well as maybe some more Reapers to carry people from planet to planet until he gets everything sorted.[/sp]
You know the endings are left open and you can decide what happens. Right.
Which is, and always has been, shitty writing. But even then, there's plenty of problems with what they DID show us.

Exactly. The ending to ME1 and ME2 might have been the cliche'd "Victory against all odds" ending...but isn't that exactly what we should have gotten for ME3? The whole series was about beating the odds.
I have nothing to put this damn velcro sticker thing on :\

I always figured the series was more about breaking bonds. Like, the cycle, for instance. [sp]Even if shit's ruined, you finally won - even if many died and many more will soon, you've secured freedom for the universe. The point wasn't to keep everyone happy and take the Reaper's apple and run with it, the point was to break free. And only once you've broken a wall can you see the night waiting outside, and finally choose to dive into it.[/sp]

Thats the ending I wanted. I just don't understand why they had to go with the whole [sp]salvation through sacrifice[/sp] thing.
Can't say the game wasn't worth buying though. It's a great game despite the endings. The playing experience was great and the space battle was absolute jizz.
As soon as I was faced with the endgame choices, the thought process that my brother (who had been watching me play the whole game) and I went through was crazy.
[sp]
-Control still leaves the Reapers intact, but now what do they do? someone's gonna end up dead because someone's gonna piss it off. Only way to avoid that is to dismantle the reapers. And while yeah that solves the reaper problem, it still leaves the galaxy open to possibly recreate the entire thing way down the road, and then the cycle continues anyway. OH YEAH AND THE RELAYS GET FUCKED.
-destroy forces you to kill off an innocent species, destroy the mass relays, plunge galactic technology thousands of years into the past, strand your team with dwindling supplies on some random rock and damn near kill them in the process, kill off EDI, and pretty much fuck everything up. Oh yea, and i guess the reapers get killed too SO ITS OKAY RIGHT?? NOT TO MENTION THAT WE MIGHT STILL DO IT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
-synthesize fixes all galactic problems ever, bringing about eternal peace. But at that point, what point is there to live? What are we aiming for? Wouldn't this bring about that "technological singularity" faster? OH YEAH AND THE RELAYS STILL GET FUCKED.
AND NOT ONE OF THESE ENDINGS LETS ME SEE SHEPARD AND LIARA LIVE HAPPILY SOMEWHAT-EVER AFTER. GODDAMNIT. I romanced you and only you for 3 years and I don't even get to see the little blue children you spoke of?? [/sp]
How many more of these [sp]Old allies turn evil[/sp] are there?
[sp]If you don't get to Grissom academy fast enough and Jack survived ME2, then she shows up at Cerberus HQ as a Phantom.[/sp]

And I think that's part of what makes the endings such a colossal disappointment. The whole game, up to that point, had me thinking "Wow, Bioware actually did it. This is incredible."
...and then it's gone.
There must have been a reason [sp]Shepard survives in the best version of the destroy ending,[/sp] which is why I believe [sp]that there will be another ending/some sort of closure or extension in some form. And yeah, Stargazer: "One more story". All points to it imo.[/sp]
Geth pyros are the gayest enemy in the game.
[sp] Maybe Shephard leaves to combat the Dark Energy? So maybe Bioware inteded to save that plotline for a DLC or a spinoff? [/sp]
I personally was hoping for an "America -FUCK YEAH" -esque ending [sp] like with the normandy broadsiding Harbinger, shooting Shepard and Garrus out the airlock for them to board it and take it out from the inside to prevent Harbinger from stopping the Crucible from turning on. All the way you're fucking shit up and Harbinger is taunting you and spouting one-liners about your efforts being futile and what not. Ends with epic dash for the exit similar to ME2 while Harbinger goes critical and blows up, but not before giving you one last speech about how you've made the wrong choice and you've doomed the galaxy to be consumed by Dark Energy. Hackett then queries you to make the final "Fire!" call to activate the Crucible and you have to choose to either Kill or Save the Reapers, neither choice is paragon or renegade.[/sp]
[sp]I had to shoot Mordin[/sp]and now I am sad.
[sp] Maybe if you want your dick turned into a husk[/sp]
I bet Husk Dicks have built in vibrators and shit.
goddamnit
I romanced both Liara and Garrus, and now they're both coming back onto me
on the one hand, Garrus can now afford the good stuff, but on the other hand, pissing off the shadow broker can't be healthy

I hope not, I imagine that would be incredibly boring.

Yes, that is exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for. But nope.
Kai Leng = Metal Gear Mass Effect

I romanced Liara in ME1 too. If you tell her you just want to be friends, she just gets kind of mopey and sad for a few missions and then perks up and is happy to be your friend.
Even though I felt really bad about doing it.
Alright I finished it. It (the end) was as bad as I thought. Everything else totally rocked. Now where to watch other endings? I can't seem to find them on YT
No instead of watching it on Youtube play Mass Effect 3 16 more times to get all 17 endings.
[sp]I want to see all the civilizations at their peak in peacetime, that would've been a nice prize for killing the reapers.
Earth with sprawling cities, the relays rebuilt. Massive Quarian cities being built on Rannoch. Krogan establishing a government, rebuilding the planet. All of that good stuff.[/sp]
To be honest I wouldn't mind a spin-off game that takes place some time later but in the same universe that fills in ME3 plot-holes and cliffhangers with subtle hints. Completely different characters and plot, but in the same universe.

How the FUCK do you write this skin-tingling fucking awesome ending and then deliver the third game with the shittiest video game ending ever?
FUCK
So i'm playing through Mass Effect 1, how do I get out of the APC thing when you're roaming around the planets as I can't get into a research facility cause I dunno how to get out.
So, a (perhaps fake) image is circulating regarding upcoming DLC for Mass Effect 3.

Take it with a few grains of salt.

Because BioWare has enough balls to piss people off, that's why.
On a sidenote, I liked the ending(s).

Rarely is pissing people off a good idea, and this is a prime example of it.
