I know i'm probably late on this one, but goddamn, I just got this moment in my game (where Garrus and Joker joke around) and i laughed out loud at the last one. In case someone doesn't know:

vanguard on insanity - only way to play.
On a related note (also a poster from BSN):
[sp]I think the main problem with the endings is that they can't be explained.
At the end Shepard comes face to face with his/her ultimate enemy - the StarChild. This entity it is explained is the mind behind the Reapers, their creator, their God in a way. This entity believes that there is a danger in every civilisation that they will create a race of AIs that will destroy the galaxy, bringing chaos to the order. To stop this happening this entity has wiped out every single sentient species the galaxy has ever seen over millennia, turning them into the Reapers, controlling them, bringing order to their existence.
This entity is ultimately responsible for the deaths of an unimaginable amount of intelligent life forms because it believes that Organic and Synthetic life forms can never get along. this entity is trying as we speak to it, to wipe out everything that Shepard holds dear - his friends, his love, his home, everything, even Shepard himself.
Faced with this entity, this creature, what does Shepard do? For the first time in his existence he gives in. He does not argue, he does not threaten, he ignores every single part of his being and agrees with his ultimate foe that the extinction of sentient life is OK because of something that may happen. He meekly accepts the choices laid before him for the first time in his life and asks no questions, offers no counter argument.
Why that happened there can be no explanation for. Unless the writers were drunk, in a rush to finish things off or just really bad at endings because they nailed every single other part of the story.[/sp]
Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled this stunt to be able to create that Mass Effect MMO they were talking about.
He is awesome, his gun is amazing, and the cut-scenes explain a few, although minor, things about the Protheans. It's definitely not required, but it's nice to have for sure.
[sp]I was hoping for something at the end with Javik. Specially considering he was supposed to be the last voice of the Protheans, and his mission being to have the last thing the reapers hear be a Prothean voice.[/sp]

I love the humor in Mass Effect 3. :v:
There were many moments that made me laugh out loud.
am I the one of the people that think that
[sp]sacrificing yourself to control the reapers was the only, "good" ending? I mean.. If you control the reapers, and you know that the mass relays got completely fucked over. What do yeah do? I mean, you can rebuild them... Right? Seeing as you control them.[/sp]

Hmm, I'll think about it i guess. I get the feeling that he should be more of a big deal considering who he is.
as much as I hate dlc i'm contemplating getting Javik, is he worth it?
From Ashes isn't really worth actual money. Just look up his conversations on youtube. They're interesting, but very much non-critical.

[sp]even if you couldn't use them to rebuild the relay network, you could just let people hitch rides on the reapers themselves, seeing as they can travel between systems in less than a year.
...hell, it doesn't even really matter if you die in the control ending. You could just have someone clone your old body then indoctrinate the body to come back to life.[/sp]

Would be a pretty poor business decision to alienate a huge portion of the fanbase...to try and get them to buy the MMO.

This is how I see it, yeah.
I never understood this video
It was a joke that if you didn't keep the base in ME2 than you would be fucked over in ME3.
so much for that
I just noticed there's different dialouge with the Shepard VI between the different console versions.

EA.
BioWare fans will buy it anyway (the ones on the forums, that is).
EA.
I know it's cool to hate EA, but they're nothing if not businessmen. Getting rid of your existing audience is never a good decision.
Honestly, I don't believe for a second that Bioware intended for the fanbase to have such an adverse reaction to the endings, but that's what is happening. On the other hand...they should have seen it coming.
So I had 6k EMS, But I didn't see a way to save Anderson?
Well, I guess it had to end eventually.
I had hoped that this game would be the exception to the "third game has shittiest ending" rule, but alas...
The curse of the Three-quel lives on.
Fuck I am so fucking disappointed I cannot unsee that ending all that work whyyyyyyyy

Yeah, it's rare I wish to unsee endings, but Mass Effect 3 counts as one of the worst and most disappointing ending I've ever seen in my time.

I don't think I'm the only one in saying that it's not only ruined the game but the series as a whole for me. I don't see how I'm going to play any other Mass Effect game knowing that this is how it will all end.
Seeing these posts makes me not want to beat the game :(
Is it really THAT bad?

Even if BioWare fans are raging and will rage, they'll still buy any other Mass Effect game. Guaranteed.
If EA/Bioware really wanted to set up the Mass Effect franchise for an easy MMO sell, they would have gone for an easy, safe "Everyone lives mostly happily ever after" ending. That's not what we got.

It doesn't stop them from making an MMO based on the Reaper War that's in ME3 or some other war.

Just like CoD, everyone whined about how MW3 would be shit, but people still bought it. Im pretty sure the same could happen with any future ME game.
hopefully this game will have a broken steel-esque dlc

I'd say play it and decide for yourself. The game, IMO, until like 5 minutes before the end was A+++ material.
krogan soldier is hilarious

Wrong. Shepard VI just has 3 variants of dialogue, depending of what stage of the game you are.
I dunno about you guys, but I'll probably just buy any DLC they shovel.
Mostly cause I like the game (besides the endings) and it all can't be that bad right?
Again, this. [sp]Hanging on for dear life, even though we can't even imagine how much pain, if any, he was in. With only flashbacks of his companions pushing him forwars[/sp]
[sp]It's also the only ending I can think of where Shepard's flashbacks to his friends mean anything. We're watching the guy/girl we've been playing since the very beginning, and he's dying before our eyes so he can become the very thing we've sworn to destroy. Also I noticed the flashbacks were substantially longer then with Synergy and Destroy.
Then there's the whole thing about Reaper red turning into peaceful blue, the color which seemed to be saturated throughout the series.[/sp]

Speaking of flashbacks, my Shepard was [sp]all up in Tali's suit, if you know what I mean. Romanced only Tali.
Yet for some reason, in his last moments as a human, he didn't have any flashbacks to the love of his life. Why so, Bioware, WHY?[/sp]

I'll wait and see on the DLC. How this whole thing is handled will determine whether or not I support Bioware after this.
