The actual endings, yes, but the final cutscene was a 20 second powerpoint with Jensen narrating.
I'd have taken that instead of ME3 ending, y'know?
Yeah, I liked that
Oh.
So... do you like the ME3 endings?
because you get the same amount of closure
I'd have taken that instead of ME3 ending, y'know?
With Jensen still narrating.
I'd have taken that instead of ME3 ending, y'know?
The green ending (no spoilers) has to be the good ending, or is it there a better one?

lol you don't get anywhere near the same amount of closure. Mass effect expanded to 3 games.
Deus Ex Human Revolution however, has the same concept
-Irrelevant choices
-Lack of satisfaction
-Meaningless endings
[editline]11th March 2012[/editline]
Deus Ex 2 is still good, you should play it
The choices between start to end are meaningless, they are just to flesh out what character what you want to be. The end choices are basically the same as ME3's, but with WAY less plot holes. It was my favourite game of 2011.
Deus Ex 2 was horrible.
The green ending (no spoilers) has to be the good ending, or is it there a better one?
If you have over 5000 EFFECTIVE assets, you can [sp]Destroy all synthetics, and shephard survives.[/sp]
Otherwise, green endings make the world perfect.
The First Deus Ex (one of the best PC games ever BTW) has the same endings.
[sp]Destroy Area 51, leave Humanity in the stone age ---- Destroy Reapers, leave galaxy in stone age
Merge with Helios, transcend humanity ------- Merge with Reapers, transcend humanity
Control the Illumaniti, work with the enemy ------------- Control the Reapers, control the enemy[/sp]
they are very different games
oh god what have I DONE

Off to the editing room I go.

you just said invisible war is good and HR is bad
what the hell man what is wrong with your mind
"The Reaper controlled humans are truly augmented"
They could've just infact play the "Yeah rip" at the end of the game..

And you need to play multiplayer for 5000 right? Fucking stupid. Oh well, at least the multiplayer is pretty fun.
Off to the editing room I go.
Not worth it, you don't get closure even if he survives.

Human Revolution?
That's Deus Ex 2.
I heard they had a sequel planned called Invisible War, but they realized that trying to make a sequel to a game with multiple endings like that was stupid, and that linking all 3 was the worst choice ever
And you need to play multiplayer for 5000 right? Fucking stupid. Oh well, at least the multiplayer is pretty fun.
Well, you can get that ending with 4000 EFFECTIVE assets, but well [sp]You have to success the Paragon/Renegade check against The Illusive Man to save Anderson[/sp]
ME3 needs an ending [sp]where you can destroy the reapers, but also spare the geth. There was absolutely no reason at all for them to die with the reapers.[/sp]
So I finally started the game and got to the citadel for the first time and holy fuck what is wrong with the run animation, I have to walk everywhere because it's so bad. What was wrong with the old one?
What's with everyone mentioning Deus Ex all of a sudden? Stop before this turns into a Deus Ex Megathread. :v:

Don't worry, you'll soon forget the running animation right up to the end of the game.

The endings to ME3 and the first one are fairly similar.
shame that [sp]EDI dies when you destroy all synthetics[/sp]

I know, I was just trying to be funny. :v:

Can't you do the Renegade action? I've done that thrice now.
Even then I only have 3200 effective. Not sure what I missed, I did literally everything. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered Jessica Chobot off my ship.

FemSheps jogging animation is painful. I cringed because of it.

No, the Renegade quick time event does not count. you have to do the Speech check.
