Fucking seriously? I've modified my save to give me 10,000 assets and maxed out paragon/reputation. I still can't do the last persuade what the fuck?
"Medi-gel (medical gel) is an all-purpose medicinal salve combining an anaesthetic and clotting agent used by paramedics, EMTs, and military personnel, produced by the Sirta Foundation. It heals various wounds and ailments, instantly sealing injuries against infection and allowing for rapid healing by having the gel grip tight to flesh until subjected to a frequency of ultrasound. It is sealable against liquids - most notably blood - as well as contaminants and gases."
From what I gather, it's a temporary measure for use in combat zones where you can't actually get a medic right away. It kills germs to prevent infection, closes the wound by clamping over it, clots blood to prevent bleeding and help encourage scab covering, etc.
Yeah, looks like I was wrong. [sp] It still could've helped Anderson though, and maybe allow him to stay alive even after the bullet wound (That went right through his body, too)[/sp]
Maybe [sp]you can never do the last check? It serves only to taunt you, like Tali's suicide interrupt[/sp]

did you save the collector base
[sp]Does anyone know what happens if you pass the final speech check with the Illusive Man?[/sp]
It unlocks the secret, really good ending where all the questions are answered and you and your love interest raise babies on Eden Prime.
did you save the collector base
Nope, but even then I still should be able to convince this bastard, I have 10,000 assets with edits. Collector base only raises the amount you need doesn't it?
Maybe [sp]you can never do the last check? It serves only to taunt you, like Tali's suicide interrupt[/sp]
Nope, I've seen it done.
Unless that was a joke.
It unlocks the secret, really good ending where all the questions are answered and you and your love interest raise babies on Eden Prime.
That will only raise more questions for me, for example. How the fuck did a Quarian and Human have a baby?
Nope, but even then I still should be able to convince this bastard, I have 10,000 assets with edits. Collector base only raises the amount you need doesn't it?
Collector base changes the amount you need, but it's still 5000 to get the good ending.
It also gives you 100 or 110 assets.

No, Feuver's explanation is better.

Plus, if I remember right, quarian babies are stuck in a weird plastic bubbles until they grow older. :v:
Anyone have any good methods for getting over the atrocity which is the ending? It's been about 30 hours now and I can't bare to even touch a video game for more than 30 minutes, I can't bare to even start a Mass Effect game. The whole ending seemed like such a downer to me and I think it's actually affected me past the game, like I haven't finished the game (I doubt many could say that in confidence).
I holy shit someone with an earlier join date than mine, noticed that just now
I empathize with this; Those of you who like to think you're a superior gamer somehow because your favorite game of all time is from the 1980s will laugh, but Mass Effect 2 is my game of all time, and up until those last ten minutes, Mass Effect 3 was my new game of all time. The four years up until now have been a hell of a ride, and to end it separated from the squad I've spent literally hundreds of hours with, and have even the best ending divide the galaxy I've spent three games bringing together leading up to this one final moment, this shining opportunity to show what games as a storytelling medium could be, is a sucker punch to the gut.
I feel asinine being distraught over a game, but I guess it's no more unusual than being unhappy at the end of a movie or book (I'm looking at you [sp]Dark Tower[/sp]). No story in any medium has built as strong an attachment as I had with this series, and I know tomorrow I'll be over it, but right now, at the end of four years, I'm exceptionally disappointed.

A lot of outcomes in ME depend on flags set by earlier decisions. You probably needed to have done all the paragon/renegade checks with him earlier throughout the game, and it might also depend on decisions you made in ME2. I imported a level 30-something character for ME3 and immediately filled the class skill bar which gives you better reputation scores, so I never missed any of the opportunities.

Mass effect fields, duh.

Also, unicorns are real.
So besides the endings, which everyone seems to hate or at least feel is extremely inadequate, how would you rate the game?
Fucking seriously? I've modified my save to give me 10,000 assets and maxed out paragon/reputation. I still can't do the last persuade what the fuck?
I was told you have to have over 5000 and do something in the conversation [sp] with him on mars[/sp].
So besides the endings, which everyone seems to hate or at least feel is extremely inadequate, how would you rate the game?
Without ending, 85/100 easy.
With ending, it drops down to the 60-70/100.
Also, unicorns are real.
Yo spoiler tag that shit bro.
So besides the endings, which everyone seems to hate or at least feel is extremely inadequate, how would you rate the game?
The game was fucking phenomenal. They perfected the combat system and, despite the shitty exploration system, ME3 had fantastic scenes and lots of emotion. The ending was so bad, however, that it not only ruins ME3 but also somehow actually makes ME1 and ME2 worse.
So besides the endings, which everyone seems to hate or at least feel is extremely inadequate, how would you rate the game?
9.5/10. A few technical issues aside and the stupid fucking journal aside, I loved every last bit of the game.
So besides the endings, which everyone seems to hate or at least feel is extremely inadequate, how would you rate the game?
9.0/10 easy, up until you go into [sp]Space Heaven[/sp]
After that, 7.0/10. Still very solid, just a hell of a let down.
Oh my god.
[sp]Seeing the Geth and the Quarians working together on Rannoch...

I don't care about the ending anymore... I feel like a fucking hero.[/sp]

I wouldn't even describe it as disappointment. An analogy came to mind which made some sense at least: A child grows old with a beloved toy he's loved for most of his childhood, you have probably had one yourself, and is soon becoming to old from it. He remembers all the amazing experiences he's had with the toy and how much fun he's had with it but, as he is about to stow it away with the rest of his toys in a box, presumably to be kept safe in his home, his parent snatches it from his hand and destroys it without explanation. Thee child may ask "Why would you do that?" but the response will always be "I had to."

A well-deserved 9.5/10

Oh don't worry, the ending rapes that awesome feeling outright.
I would know.
[SP] Especially the Destroy one... [/sp]
I dunno, I don't think that one was too bad. I went into ME3 expecting to make giant sacrifices to preserve the future of sentient life. The problem with the ending in general isn't that it's badly written, it's just that it offers no closure.
After that, 7.0/10. Still very solid, just a hell of a let down.
7/10 is pretty generous considering that it was the final game of the trilogy. This was supposed to be the ending not only for this game, but for the previous two games as well.
The ending of this game makes everything you've done mean nothing. There is no closure, no explanation, no getting to see your decisions affect the future of the galaxy, nothing.
