I already did nothing shows up
I've done every mission I can do, with nearing full paragon, and 3204+ EMS, up to the "Speak with Quarriens" part. Am I fairing okay?? If I keep going like this will I be able to get at least 5000 ems?
max you can get without multiplayer stops sometime around 3500, I'm pretty sure.
So, this is my new favorite ending theory
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9764576
It can't possibly be the true ending, but it makes sense and is kind of cleverly written like how the rest of Mass Effect 3 was.
It's an interesting theory, but[sp]if it's all a lotus-eater-machine style scenario where you're tempted to go down the path of indoctrination, then why do the "right" choices still murder everyone and the kitchen sink if your galactic readiness/military strength are crap? That setup would want to doll up the favored choices as much as it could, and is already banking on you not noticing implausibilities, so there's nothing to lose in making the control/merge choices happy utopias regardless of how pathetic your galactic resistance turned out to be.[/sp]
max you can get without multiplayer stops sometime around 3500, I'm pretty sure.
I got around 3800 and found out if I had changed a few choices I could have gotten up to 4200. I don't think its that limited.

[sp]Someone mentioned in the thread that it doesn't matter what your choice is if your EMS is low, because the fleet is too weak for them to hold out until Shepard wakes up. So the Reapers win anyway. However, if your EMS is high enough the fleet/ground forces hold out and Shepard wakes up before the Reapers can finish them off.[/sp]

but i just read a thing where bioware said there should be more than enough to fill out your bar in sp alone but i am not sure
but i'm nearly at 3500 myself and i am pretty sure i have plenty left?
I've done every mission I can do, with nearing full paragon, and 3204+ EMS, up to the "Speak with Quarriens" part. Am I fairing okay?? If I keep going like this will I be able to get at least 5000 ems?
Quarians.
You won't be able to get 5000 unless you play some multiplayer.
You could easily get near or over the 4000 though. I wasn't able to, but I didn't have the Mass Effect 2 DLCs, neither from the ashes.
I have my own theory about the endings. Its that the writers were god damn lazy and didn't care about pissing off the fans. Either that or they're going to sell a better one as DLC. I'm not sure which one is worse.

False. The Effective Military Strength is what completely changes the ending you get.

They lied.

No, that's what I'm saying. [sp]If your EMS is low and you choose Destroy, Shepard never wakes up from the dream sequence (in that theory on BSN) because the fleet is destroyed. However, if it is strong enough they hold out long enough for Shepard to wake up.[/sp]

Oh, sorry, my mistake.
[sp]Joker/EDI romance is so hilarious, I'm curious to see where it goes. Don't spoil anything for me![/sp]
Things that enraged me the most.
1).That fucking kid. Why on earth Shepard cares about some fucking kid? Not only cares, but cares enough to have nightmares and enough for his brain to [sp]recept the Catalyst as that kid, what the fuck?![/sp]
2). What the fuck happened to my squadmates I brought with me [sp]to try and reach the conduit?![/sp]
So officially support this ending (all of them) as the theory about indoctrination attempt. [sp]Syntesis and Control are both false (Shepard succumbs just like the Illusive Man did), Destroy (huge Sacrifice for seemingly no real gain apart from freedom) is the real one, Harbinger fails his attempt[/sp]

Really? Well I don't have any advice to give in that case unfortunately.
So I'm in the part where I [sp] have to choose if I save the Rachni Queen or let her die[/sp] which option should I choose?
I wonder, [sp]What happens if Tali is exiled in Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3? She can't be the admiral, that would make no sense.[/sp]
I did a no-import playthrough, [sp]so she was an "advisor" of some sorts, the "admirals' dirty little secret", she said that if they get through the war she'd get reaccepted into the fleet back from exile, also impossible to save both races if you do that
I saved the Geth, because I really didn't like the wording of "kill the geth for now", so I destroyed the space gypsies
yay me[/sp]

[sp]It's really up to you. I don't know which gives the best assets, but both are just numbers.[/sp]

This theory at least seems...possible. I am however, skeptical of bioware thinking this out that much.
Got Turian Soldier, skilled up Marksman for rate of fire increase, picked up geth plasma rifle.
Bullet hose gimmick class complete.

Thanks for telling me.
Quarian Infiltrator is actually pretty damn fun. Hacking an Atlas, Turret or Geth Prime and watching it rip its teammates apart is great.

It is great until your team mates become assholes and decide to kill everything you sabotage.
Quarian Infiltrator is actually pretty damn fun. Hacking an Atlas, Turret or Geth Prime and watching it rip its teammates apart is great.
You can hack an Atlas?
Aren't those controlled by humans not AI/VI?
You can hack an Atlas?

You can but it only lasts a few seconds the first time, and the more you use the ability on a synthetic target the less effective it is until it just has no effect.
I'm quite disappointed that none of the ME2 characters are[sp] available as squad members. Especially the DLC characters that you had to pay for. I was really bugged when I did the Kasumi mission and at the end she said she would join and all I got was some dumb war asset instead of a team member[/sp]
[sp] War assets bug me... To me it's just basically Bioware saying all your choices were worth nothing more than a number. [/sp]
Anybody want to play some MP, not for long though?
[sp]The real ending was that Shepherd was being indoctrinated while knocked unconscious by Harbinger and if you do the Destroy ending you wake up, kill all the reapers, make a house on Rannoch and live happily ever after
Fin.[/sp]

[sp] The real ending is you suddenly come to after being knocked out by the Prothean beacon you found on Eden Prime. [/sp]

Overrides the controls or something I imagine.

Oh you're right
[sp]
"Doctor! Doctor Chakwas! I think he's waking up!"
Doctor Chakwas: You had us worried there, Shepard. How are you feeling?
Shepard: Minor throbbing; nothing serious. How long was I out?
Doctor Chakwas: About six years. Don't try to move; your muscles have atrophied from disuse. Do you want something to drink?
Shepard: Six years!? But... What happened to the Reapers?
Doctor Chakwas: Reapers? I'm not sure what you mean. Something happened down there on Eden Prime with the beacon, I think. I've been detecting some unusual brain activity--abnormal beta waves. I also noticed an increase in your rapid-eye-movement, signs typically associated with intense dreaming.
Shepard: But the Reapers... Death... Destruction... We have to stop them!
Doctor Chakwas: It sounds like it was quite a dream. You should try to relax. Are you... Oh. Custodian Anderson.
Custodian Anderson: How is he holding up, Doctor?
Doctor Chakwas: Well, all the readings look normal, but he seems to be suffering from mild dementia.
Custodian Anderson: I see. I'd like to speak to Shepard alone.
Doctor Chakwas: As you wish.
Shepard: Captain Anderson, what's going on?
Custodian Anderson: It's Custodian now. I was relieved of duty after punching Ambassador Udina in the face "unprovoked". The only work I could find was as a janitor at this hospital in the wards. It's a long story, Shepard. It's been years since Eden Prime.
Shepard: Eden Prime? What about the Reapers?
Custodian Anderson: I don't know anything about "Reapers", but it turned out that the colonists on Eden Prime were part of some violent cult that worshipped prothean beacons. They believed that the devastating seizures and delusions it caused were prophetic "visions". Even Gunnery Chief Williams bought in to it, joining your squad and lying to you to get the prothean artifact back. Damn "beacon-heads". Anyway, Saren had been doing reconnaissance for months, trying to infiltrate the cult. He had to kill Nihlus to maintain his cover. *sigh* Spectres.
Shepard: But the geth...
Custodian Anderson: You mean the synthetics on the colony? Alenko thought the same thing. Those weren't actually geth; they were just a newer model of maintenance robot that Saren re-programmed to defend him.
Shepard: But the Reapers... The Reapers... They're gonna liquify us and pump us into their veins... I'm the only hope for humanity...
Custodian Anderson: Are you feeling okay? Do you mind if I eat your lunch when it arrives?[/sp]
