Cant disagree, P\R system was great for ME1 and ME2. I could fill Paragon scale with some awesome renegade interrupts.
To be honest, I prefer ME1's system, cause you would literally just put your points into it and do as you please. Infact, they didn't they just get rid of it completely and let the player choose.
Oh well :v:
Anyone else really bothered by this?

its funny how a shitty novel can completely break a character for me.
People are saying you needed to do specific things in ME2 and [sp]save the civilian ships before attacking the geth fighter base[/sp]. I didn't even get the option to do the paragon decisions in the dialogue.
I didn't import a save since I played the others on xbox, so maybe that's why.
Yeah you're basically fucked and can't do it.
[sp]In which event Bioware are complete bastards for sacrificing their entire trilogy just so they can make an MMO.[/sp]

As I said a while back though, I doubt that Bioware intended this reaction to happen.
In the same manner that Maxis didn't intend for Spore to become some childish monstrosity.
We have to face it, if Bioware's so under the yoke of EA that they're willing (or completely lack a spine to say no) to completely butcher the endings of their flagship series just because their publishers want an MMO, then the Bioware we knew is dead. Why else would the writers from the original Mass Effect slowly start to disappear from the development team as the series went on?
I just realized that [sp]destroying the mass relays probably fucked over a lot of people. And everyone still on the Citadel. Well shit. I fail to see how the control option is Paragon, but compared to that I guess it is a better option.[/sp]
the Bioware we knew is dead.
About the time EA bought them, tbh
I mean, it's like the rest of the game was this legendary and perfect conclusion to the series, and then, all of a sudden, in the last 5% of the game ([sp]right after the missile strike on the destroyer[/sp]), it goes completely to shit.
For fucks' sake, [sp]those were the worst choices to be made, and such a cop out...and the whole "Crucible manifesting itself as the kid" thing made me want to stab somebody[/sp].
The final shots? [sp]With Joker, EDI, Javik and their new garden of Eden? That was shit right there. I would have much preferred them outrun it, or at least crash on Earth. And the fucking man and his kid talking about Shepard? That was just...Bioware better fix this, through free DLC or something.[/sp]
I did the [sp]synthesis[/sp] ending, was there much variation between them?
Honestly, I don't think the endings are the only thing wrong. I feel a lot of ME3 is just "what?". A lot of it tried being unneedingly goofy or light-hearted, and just injected in at the most awkward moments. Some of the characters feel kind of jumpy to me too. Just the writing feels sort of flip-floppy, like they had good ideas, but not enough to develop them. Unfinished? Who knows, feels that way sometimes.
Nobody can.
wut
I used it on him.
Hell, I could use both renegade and paragon options for some reason.

No, all endings are the same besides the basic idea of "you did THIS".
Protip, pretty sure [sp]destroy[/sp] is Canon, its the one with the "secret" ending [sp](Shepard Lives)[/sp]

[sp]Its paragon in the way that you disregard yourself to save else, and give them a better chance to recover. The destroy ending is renegade in the way that you put yourself first(it being the only ending where shep can survive) before the well being of the galaxy.
To be honest, im ready to screw over the galaxy if it means that ill be able to play as shep after the events of the destroy ending.[/sp]

I think most of the writing is fantastic, arguably some of the best in the series so far. And then they choke on the ending, and the last 5 minutes of the ending at that.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse...[sp]so you've gotta eradicate all synthetic life in the galaxy, including the now sapient Geth, in order to get an ending that contrived?[/sp].

[sp]Considering what the Alpha relay did to Arathot, I think I killed everyone in the galaxy anyway by choosing the Renegade.[/sp]

Actually, if we're considering the generic starts for both ME2 and ME3, canon Shepard has made renegade decisions for every major part of the game. So having that be the ending wouldn't be surprising.
[sp]So pretty much most of the military in the universe is stuck on Earth[/sp] :v:
I think most of the writing is fantastic, arguably some of the best in the series so far. And then they choke on the ending, and the last 5 minutes of the ending at that.
That, I can agree with. I mean, I think the whole final assault on the [sp]transporter beam[/sp] was a little rocky, and I didn't exactly like [sp]wandering around the Citadel's protein vats, talking to Anderson[/sp]. But the conclusion with [sp]TIM[/sp] was great.
Feels good to know Shepard can make any of his big bads [sp]just kill themselves for him[/sp].

Ending fixed. No space ghosts, or misleading choices.

[sp]But that is contrived too, because you're a Partial Synthetic and guess what?
YOU LIVE.[/sp]

[sp]And/or fused with synthetic life, don't know what happens if you control the Reapers (indoctrinated?), or living without any VIs or synthetics.[/sp]

[sp]And the kid even fucking TELLS YOU THAT. How do you miss that, Bioware?[/sp]

The thing is [sp]Shepard wakes up on what looks like Earth. Debris that looks like buildings instead of the Citadel, and you can hear wind blowing. Which would imply that whole choice sequence never happened.[/sp]
I think most of the writing is fantastic, arguably some of the best in the series so far. And then they choke on the ending, and the last 5 minutes of the ending at that.
In a way it was better, in terms of "felt human". But it felt really random at points. Like these characters starting to react to things unlike how they did in ME1-ME2, I guess its supposed to be more "human". But I dunno, just seems odd how they get all emotional, especially some more than others.
Maybe I wouldn't mind and I would ignore it, you know? If the ending didn't just kinda make me feel sour on this.

everybody needs to watch this right now
[sp]Final paragon option worked fine on my game. Made TIM shoot himself after screaming "Shepard I...I tried! *BANG*"[/sp]
What did you do?

Exactly my feelings, for about 4-5 hours.

This is true too, how the fuck does he get back on earth?
I sure can't wait for a bullshit "it was a dream" deal.
