There were three scenes that made me cry in ME3.
[sp]When Mordin died. "Would have liked to run tests on the seashells." ;-;
When Legion sacrificed himself to give the Geth intelligence, and the Geth lived in peace with the Quarians
and the end. Not because of how good/bad it was. Because I was thinking of what had happened to everyone. Essentially everyone died. Y'know, Mass Relays going bonkers and shit.[/sp]
Yeah, [sp]Mordin's death really got to me. He was always my favorite character and his death made me tear up worse I did in RDR's ending.[/sp]
Well I'm surprised ign had the balls to say that
Edit: the "fitting finale" part that is
They always sell out
[sp]Cerberus indoctrinates their own soldiers from the sounds of it. I think Grissom Academy had a PDA saying something along those lines.[/sp]
[sp]Again, though, if they were all indoctrinated then why did the Reaper control research continue? From the Illusive Man's end speech it seemed like he was really against the Reapers, he just didn't go about it in an ethical or apparent manner.[/sp]
They always sell out
I know, but think of how the guy who had to type that feels?
When you talk to the [sp]Prothean VI, it says "indoctrinated presence detected" when Leng shows up. Why would Leng be taking orders from the Illusive Man if he's indoctrinated? I originally thought the Illusive Man was indoctrinated and probably did something to make all of Cerberus follow the Reapers, but why would the Reapers let his research continue? He planned on taking control of all Reapers, but why would they allow him to do this if he was under their control? Is it just Leng who was indoctrinated or is all of Cerberus? Or does the VI just think they're indoctrinated? If Leng really was working for the Reapers then why didn't he destroy the data of the Catalyst rather than taking it with him?[/sp]
I'm not trying to nitpick here, I really want an answer if there is one.
Indoctrinated ones are not "controlled" by the reapers. They're moral values are just shifted the way it suits the reapers. [sp]That's why Illusive Man and his closest subordinate actually are indoctrinated, but they still have some personality in order to operate, they're useful as they are. So they can keep a secret from the reapers if their will is strong enough, and the exposure to reapers wasn't long. They weren't indoctrinated by reapers themselves but by some pieces of dead human-reaper.[/sp]

Saren thought that he's free from indoctrination and Soverign is his partner, not owner. And look what happened then.

fix the tags bro
I'm so insanely confused about the endings. Not the plot... but how they were written in the same game that had the same scenes as [sp]Mordin's death, Thane's death, Legion's Sacrifice, Garrus's brotime on the Citadel....[/sp]
Those scenes are some of the most emotional and awesome scenes I've seen in a game.
Where'd they go wrong?

Mac Walters was 100% responsible for the ending. The man is a good character writer, but his plot skills are...well, lacking, to be polite.
Anyone else think of Crackdown 1 when they think of the original mass effect? I guess it's because Microsoft was kind of advertising them at around the same time.
fix the tags bro
Whoops, mixed the tags. My bad. Thanks for pointing it out.

Jesus, his character writing is top notched. I honestly nearly cried.
Over a video game.
I sound like such a pussy.
I finished it yesterday
I tried to find comfort in the embrace of Facepunch fanbase...
but bioware made the ending so shitty, our choices and effort so worthless that none could make me feel better...
Fuck you ea/bioware for ruining such a neat trilogy, ME3 was awesome until up to the end, that sucked badly. This is like stealing the xmas gift from a 6yo child right when he is about to open them

First to bolster his own forces, because he needs every advantage he can get. And if he can do it, why not? Then, to actually control the Husks and Reapers themselves, as that's the end goal. At least, as far as I can tell.[/sp]
Also, did anyone listen to the story of that PTSD Asari commando in Huerta memorial hospital? If you go all the way through it, you can actually authorize something relevant to her as a Spectre. That's a really awesome touch, although I'm not sure if I should do it.

Trust me man, you're not alone. I cry from movies, books, video games, hell I even cry sometimes when people just tell me stories.

Hey now, the ending to Return of the King (grey havens) makes me cry like a baby every time. Nothing wrong with particularly strong entertainment affecting you.
Sorry:c
Not you smart guy :v:
is there a guide on how to save everyone? Like a wiki or something.
I think the worst part of all this is just how fucking well this game was written up until the end. Some insanely powerful scenes. Badass fights, great character moments.
And then in 10 minutes... [sp]Anderson dies, Reapers become the most generic and retarded villains ever, Shepard Dies, the mass relays explode, the galaxy dies, fuck you, normandy crashes, lord of the flies time, fuck you[/sp]
They honestly destroy the franchise in Ten minutes. It's so insane. It actually feels like someone kept adding worse and worse stuff to see what they could get away with at points.
[sp]"Anderson dying sucks, but what if Shepard dies too"
GENIUS!
"Okay, now the Reaper leader is a cute kid! DRAMMMAA!"
O...kay.
"REAPERS WERE MADE TO STOP ORGANICS FROM KILLING SYNTHETICS OR SOME SHIT"
That's retarded.
"ALSO THE MASS RELAYS BLOW UP"
Well then the galaxy's pretty much fucked
"AND THE NORMANDY CRASHES GOD KNOWS HOW FAR AWAY FROM SHEPARD"
You're just fucking with me now.[/sp]

Is it bad I cried at lots of ME2's points, but only got a tear-jerk or two at ME3?
:v:
Mass effect 3 ending in a nutshell:

Judging by your avatar, had you fucked up on a certain mission you'd be singing a different song

Maybe a bit. A couple parts of ME2 were sad, to be sure, but ME3 was several notches above.

I'd feel a bit bad, I suppose. But I dunno, I guess alot of ME3 didn't make me tear up cause I got it spoiled, or maybe I just mellow'd out over the time since ME2-ME3.

I dunno what it is, I think its just having a lot of ME3 spoiled for me.
Real Ending.

really want to play ME1 now for some reason
I think the massive problem with ME3 is I can never replay it
[sp]Oh no, Grissom Academy is going to be invaded?
You'll all die anyway, whatto I care
Let's cure the Genophage!
Why? You're all going to die anyway.
Let's unite the Quarians and Geth!
Well, all the geth are going to be deleted soon. [/sp]
It's really the worst ending to a series ever.

it's more like the kid finds out his new set of legos is missing the final piece and instead some knex were stuck in

And his parents glued the lego bricks together. Meaning they could never be moved ever again and he'd be stuck with it forever, not being able to go back to it and find any entertainment in rebuilding it ever again.
I think it's more like he built the most epic castle ever, with torches, and gigantic pillars and shit, and a drawbridge, and RIGHT when he was about to put the flag on the tip, the dog runs in and smashes it and shits on the rubble.

My comment on the matter:
"When I downloaded this DLC it literally went from 1% to 100% in one second. It didn't download anything. All it did was unlock what was already there. Bioware had the balls to blatantly lie to their fans and purposefully and all knowingly charge those who did not order the Collector's Edition of the game. I love the game Bioware, I really do. But this behavior is unacceptable."
All the DLC does is change one line of code. Good job Bioware...
