I've reached the point in the game where you [sp]assault the Cerberus Headquarters [/sp] and I was just wondering how much total and effective military strength I should be looking to have by this point.
That's the point of no return, you should've the most assets possible, at least an Effective of 3800 to 4500.
the prothean is a dick. "The lizard people evolved?" "I believe they're amphibian." "they used to eat flies"
[sp]http://social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect-3/Mass-Effect-3-Story-and-Campaign-Discussion-Spoilers-Allowed/Joker-Hidden-Dialogue-During-Conduit-Push-9787569-1.html[/sp] ? :O
It's shit like this that's making me believe that the endings we got aren't the ones that were intended. Something just doesn't fit, why is it that the very ending of the game is where it all falls apart? I'd like to think that after the brilliant game that came before it, the ending would match up, but the quality drop is so severe.
it takes an entire fleet of ships a few orbital strikes to kill one reaper yet one shot from a cain flat out obliterates it. why not give everyone a cain to demolish the reaper drestroyers
Fit ships with like 200 of them tiny things and rape the reapers to hell Also I fired one of those point blank and didn't get a scratch, magic!
Tsk tsk tsk Bioware. You're digging a deeper grave.
it takes an entire fleet of ships a few orbital strikes to kill one reaper yet one shot from a cain flat out obliterates it. why not give everyone a cain to demolish the reaper drestroyers
That was not a destroyer class Reaper. It was an anti-aircraft Reaper of some sort. Much smaller than a destroyer.
On a lighter note, anyone up for some co-op? my origin is DEEEEEPSTRIKE. Also, I loved Joker's hunt for Red October reference in the geth/quarian mission.
How can you forget Emily Wong? She sacrificed herself and kamikazed into a Reaper. She never did get that exclusive interview.
Actually she did. I gave her the exclusive interview in ME1.
Does destroying/saving the [sp]Collector base in ME2[/sp] affect ME3 in anyway?
Does destroying/saving the [sp]Collector base in ME2[/sp] affect ME3 in anyway?
quite heavily
Does destroying/saving the [sp]Collector base in ME2[/sp] affect ME3 in anyway?
Yep..
How so?
Does destroying/saving the [sp]Collector base in ME2[/sp] affect ME3 in anyway?
That's... a very good question.
That's the point of no return, you should've the most assets possible, at least an Effective of 3800 to 4500.
I see, at the moment I have the total at 6177 and the effective at 3891 so I suppose that means I have to do the multiplayer to increase my effective strength.
On a lighter note, anyone up for some co-op? my origin is DEEEEEPSTRIKE. Also, I loved Joker's hunt for Red October reference in the geth/quarian mission.
It took me ages to realise it was a reference to that, I laughed
That's... a very good question.
Not that I'm aware.
add me on Origin for some Co-op if you're bored. SpiceMarine77 don't have my good chars from the demo but oh well. level 14 Turian sentinel is pretty okay [editline]11th March 2012[/editline]
Not that I'm aware.
it affects the endings you get and the Estimated Military Strength needed for each respective ending
How so?
Just adds to your War assets and TIM references it back on Mars. Not much to be honest.
So are there any ME3 saved editors yet? Like the ME2 Gibbed edit?
Does destroying/saving the [sp]Collector base in ME2[/sp] affect ME3 in anyway?
Gives you more assets to work with depending on which choice you made. Also the endings changes a bit, but not by much. [editline]11th March 2012[/editline]
So are there any ME3 saved editors yet? Like the ME2 Gibbed edit?
checking a few pages ago would answer your question.
Also how do you start New Game+ do you just continue the current save, or import ME3 Character?
It's shit like this that's making me believe that the endings we got aren't the ones that were intended. The whole game is fantastic and it's the ending where you drop the ball? I'm eagerly awaiting Bioware's official response to all this.
Also how do you start New Game+ do you just continue the current save, or import ME3 Character?
you can import an me3 character with all your guns and shit, like in ME1 and 2
Also how do you start New Game+ do you just continue the current save, or import ME3 Character?
Probably the last.
yo anybody wanna play some coop with me and Saza? add cowsaysoink if you do i guess
I only just noticed that there's an ending where essentially Shepard damns all life. [sp]<1750 EMS causes everything on the surface of Earth to be vaporized by a literal wall of fire.[/sp] Huh.
BSN reports that THESE are the original endings and they make much more sense [sp] "The Reapers' goal was to find a way to stop the spread of Dark Energy which would eventually consume everything. That's why there was so much foreshadowing about Dark Energy in ME2. The Reapers as a whole were 'nations' of people who had fused together in the most horrific way possible to help find a way to stop the spread of the Dark Energy. The real reason for the Human Reaper was supposed to be the Reapers saving throw because they had run out of time. Humanity in Mass Effect is supposedly unique because of it's genetic diversity and represented the universe's best chance at stopping Dark Energy's spread. The original final choice was going to be "Kill the Reapers and put your faith in the races of the galaxy in finding another way to stop the spread with what little time is left" or "Sacrifice humanity, allowing them to be horrifically processed in hopes that the end result will justify the means." The original ending actually follows events from the first and second Mass Effect games. Why this plot was thrown out is beyond me. For one it makes sense for the Reapers to have that, "bad guys thinks his actions are good", narritive and a choice that will ultimately decide the fate of the galaxy that is not based on a "lose lose" situation. [/sp]

[sp]<1750 EMS causes everything on the surface of Earth to be vaporized by a literal wall of fire.[/sp] Huh.
actually according to the arrival dlc [sp]and the galactic map at the end showing all of the relays being destroyed in every single ending of the game, this would vaporize every single system that has a relay just like the batarian system.[/sp]

The thing that I hate most about the endings is not [sp]What happens to Shepard... or the realys being destroyed... It's how ruined the Reapers became. They started as what was my favorite video game enemy ever. Gigantic eldritch abominations from beyond the stars with unspeakabe origins, and monstrous motives. And then in ME3, they explain it in the single worst way ever.[/sp]
