[sp]I think it wasn't a lie, because EDI still died in that ending.[/sp]
[sp]Does EDI really "die"? Maybe Eva's body is destroyed, but would the AI be intact? She still is part of the Normandy.[/sp]
I'm having so much fun with this game. Everything seems so much more epic in scope, from the ground battles to the inevitable final battle. And there seems like so much to do, the game is huge. Why is anyone disappointed? I guess I have to see the ending(s). I do find it funny that there's a massive galactic war against the most destructive force in the galaxy and yet the Normandy crew takes quite a bit of shore leave, and Shepard can take the time to have a casual conversation with people in the middle of a mission, like the Cerberus Scientist evacuation.
[sp]How do you guys know EDI dies? I picked the destory ending and, granted, I never saw her exit the Normandy at the end but that doesn't mean she dies.[/sp]
She's synthetic.
[sp]Does EDI really "die"? Maybe Eva's body is destroyed, but would the AI be intact? She still is part of the Normandy.[/sp]
[sp]I'd have thought it would take her rather useless anti-reaper algorithms offline but other than that.[/sp]
She's synthetic.
Yes but like JeanLuc said, [sp]that could have been a lie[/sp]
Was browsing the "Art of Mass Effect" Book/PDF that came with the collectors edition, saw this. Normandy SR12?
She's synthetic.
Basically, the ending implies that [sp]Every synthetic form of life would die. That includes computer, artificial intelligence, anything that isn't organic by definition. EDI/EVA counts exactly as that. Same as the geth. Also, why wouldn't EDI exit the ship like in all the other endings if she survived?[/sp]
No it doesn't.
[sp]then how did Shepard's armor magically change when he woke up at the end of the destroy ending like jean-luc said?[/sp]
Yes but like JeanLuc said, [sp]that could have been a lie[/sp]
If we're going with that theory, everything that happened is bullshit. Kind of useless to argue about that when it is as valid as most of the fanfics out there.
[sp]then how did Shepard's armor magically change when he woke up like jean-luc said?[/sp]
What do you mean by magically changed? They made one model for [sp]Burnt armor, it would be a waste to model every single piece of armor in a burnt variation[/sp]
Oh wow, these endings, wtf. If you choose to [sp]destroy synthetics, Shepard (may) wake up, implying it was a dream or some shit, this seems to be the main theory besides terrible writing. Hook for dlc/ME4? Wouldn't be surprising. In any case, I don't understand why the mass relays had to be destroyed. That's just silly.[/sp] Lol, I say this like it's not old news. Anyway, apart from the endings being (potentially) ridiculous, the series has been bloody great
Was browsing the "Art of Mass Effect" Book/PDF that came with the collectors edition, saw this. Normandy SR12?
Speaking of which, it would have been awesome if the alliance gave Shepard a capital ship, I mean he deserves it.
We seriously have to stop with "Maybe it was a lie" ending theory because fucking seriously NOTHING hints at the lies, and the only way to know is if we had any sort of conclusion to the story to see if they lied or not. Anyway, ending sucks because [sp]Mass Relays were destroyed anyway. [/sp]
Speaking of which, it would have been awesome if the alliance gave Shepard a capital ship, I mean he deserves it.
Just imagine how annoying it would be to talk to all your squadmates after every mission in that thing.
What do you mean by magically changed? They made one model for [sp]Burnt armor, it would be a waste to model every single piece of armor in a burnt variation[/sp]
[sp]tell that to jean-luc, he said suddenly wearing a different set of burnt armor when limping to the beam is another sign of the whole end possibly being a deam/indoctrination which i was replying to.[/sp]
Speaking of which, it would have been awesome if the alliance gave Shepard a capital ship, I mean he deserves it.
Why would they give him a capital ship if he has most advanced ship in the fleet?
I get Dark Endings. Mass Effect has a pretty dark undertone, an entire race got a clinical kick in the balls to reduce their fertility rate to 1 in 1000. But it can be light, the previous games ended on a Triumphant Note. Even if you sacrificed everything, you got a pat on the back, and the Galaxy went on. In this, what's the best ending? Is there even a Dark Ending? Can the Reapers win? No. You always win. But it's never a Triumph. Why is this Bioware?
A few pages back people mentioned [sp]something about Shepard being in London, never having left, etc, in a secret ending. Is there a video of this ending or something? I'd like to see that[/sp]
That pic reminds me, the concepts for earth are absolutely gorgeous, but then ingame it's just bland, gray, and uninspired. A lot of the buildings are just boring and contemporary looking, with the occasional tacky spire shooting out.
Just finished my renegade playthrough with some other variables. [sp]Wrex didn't die on Virmire, I killed him in ME3 because he came after me from not curing the genophage and the bomb blew up on Tuchanka. The Salarian Council Member died because Thane didn't stop Kai Leng, they had Maelons reasearch somehow? I guess the save editor messed a few things up. I was also kind of skeptical of 'Legion' on the dreadnaut, since he died in ME2 for me, and they just made a new one? I dunno, kind of stupid in my opinion. What I think might of been cool, but also really sad, would be if you don't go to Grissom Academy, the reapers take David and they make David the center instead of Legion. Also almost everyone died, I have 4 empty slots on the wall with all of my crew who died. In the end though, I picked control, because in my mind I still think control would be a 'renegade' choice in a way. I also had about 2500 ems and wasn't able to get the 'neutral' option. All in all a fair second play through I guess. [/sp]

damn that is one renegade playthrough really if you [sp] don't cure the genophage that's just a really big dick move[/sp]
damn that is one renegade playthrough really if you [sp] don't cure the genophage that's just a really big dick move[/sp]
I feel like shit for [sp]lying about curing the genophage[/sp]
damn that is one renegade playthrough really if you [sp] don't cure the genophage that's just a really big dick move[/sp]
Cure if you have Wrex, destroy if you have Wreav.
I feel like shit for [sp]lying about curing the genophage[/sp]
you should you bastard
you should you bastard
What makes it even worse is that I [sp]actually cured the genophage in my first playthrough, and not doing it feels like a massive mistake, even if the end result is the same.[/sp]
