Can I change the face mid-game? I'm getting weary of the default Shepard face now. I thought we could use the mirror in the cabin but unfortunately not. Maybe I was thinking the wrong game.
Nevermind I found it!

oh thank god, maybe I can import a Male Shep that finished ME2 and change genders of it :v:
yeah, even though I knew that letting the Krogan reproduce like jack rabbits would end up in a bad situation, that there might be repercussions if I didn't
They'd find out eventually that you lied about it. That'd lead to a massive war.

exactly
Because LONDON
That was actually really weird how a lot of the sections of london are still contemporary or even historical down to the light posts and phone booths, it's jarring to see a fuckin' Mako rolling past them. I could understand small sections and buildings being preserved for historical purposes, but whole streets?
This is space opera, retrofitting is unfitting not only to ME but to the genre. I want geometric-but-sleek futuristic buildings damnit!
Copy Pasta from BSN on why the endings better not be real.
Just a little idea I got, maybe the [sp]perfect ending reawakening thing is actually Shepard reawakening after being hit by Harbinger[/sp]

Yer that's how the theory goes.

Everyone thought we'd be living in fireproof plastic houses with basement-contained nuclear reactors for power by 2000
turns out that isn't actually very practical
Too much sci-fi tries to make everything look like an Apple product already. I'm glad they didn't do that with Earth in ME3.
We seriously have to stop with "Maybe it was a lie" ending theory because fucking seriously NOTHING hints at the lies, and the only way to know is if we had any sort of conclusion to the story to see if they lied or not.
Anyway, ending sucks because [sp]Mass Relays were destroyed anyway. [/sp]
[sp]actually there is plenty to indicate it was all a lie[/sp]
Yer that's how the theory goes.
[sp]Thank god, I hope that is the case, but I don't at the same time because they'd use that to release DLC to change the ending[/sp]

I think its because they wanted us to really recognize it, if we walked through a extreme futuristic city that would kill the scene.
Yeah, alright. Finished it. [sp]Jumped in to the blue beam with around 3000 effective military shit. I don't really get it. It destroyed only the Reapers and the Relays? EDI was alive, apparently.[/sp]
I have to say the ending wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. It wasn't good, no, but it certainly didn't ruin the whole series for me. I have watched and liked a ton of "mindfuck" movies which may affect it. And the fact that it's almost morning and I'm fucking tired. I'll sleep on it and think things through tomorrow.
Awesome choice of music in the credits though, no doubt about that. Nothing next to M4 pt2, but still awesome.

Yeah except ME isn't about being practical. Space opera is generally aesthetics and style over functionality and practicality.
It's ridiculous that literally every other location in the series looks all vibrant and breathtaking, then earth looks the way it does.

I actually read an article a while ago about the sleek, clean future most modern sci-fi presents. It was titled "I don't want to live in an iPod!"
I'm glad they kept it real.

The alliance logos and exposition gets that across already, that's unnecessary.

Big shock, the shit you're used to doesn't seem exotic. They wanted you to recognise Earth, it's something you, as a player, can get connected to. When you look at Thessia do you get connected, or do you think "ooh, pretty futuristic spires."

Well, we find Mass Effect's envisioning of Earth "boring" because it's not dissimilar from what we already know. BUt think about how it looks relative to the other alien planets. Earth would look just as alien and vibrant to them as Thessia does to us.
EDIT: And Janus Vesta is a sonofabitch and ninja'd me almost perfectly. Well done.

Seeing a pretty, breathtaking depiction of earth would honestly make me feel more like it's a place worth saving.

I guess if they release dlc to make a better ending I would feel kind of cheated but happy that I get the ending i think i deserve. Moreover [sp] I can see why they did the endings they did. I picked the synthesis; it gives galactic peace, reapers leave, no species die, joker is with EDI, it is kinda a happy ending. Although, the problem is that it wasn't enough for a fan who's played through all the games and got to know the world and its people. They wanted to see all their work come to fruition, they wanted to see Shep grabbing a drink with Garrus, building a home with Tali, blue babies with Liara.
Sadly I think Bioware forgot what made Mass effect games special. It wasn't the story but the people you met and interacted with. [/sp]

It was both the story AND the characters. They both worked really well before the ending, which pretty much disregarded all of the characters. And... pretty much the entire ME universe.

Space opera isn't about that, it's about large universes and large scale battles with romanticized themes mostly. Space opera's aren't always clean. I mean, even things like Halo and Starcraft are space operas.

That's a decent point, but every other location in the series isn't anywhere near as mundane and undeveloped. Even colonies only some decades or centuries old look far more progressed.
I suppose you could say that they wanted to give an impression of how fast earth has developed and how old buildings haven't even catched up yet, but iuno. I'll have to think that over
So, currently on Earth saving London.
First of all, where the fuck is the Doctor
second of all, I have 3500 EMS.
How fucked am I?
I loved the series so much...and then not seeing familiar faces at the end...the awful same endings...watching all the cut dialogue...it feels...the end felt like some sad fucked up alternate universe where the game isn't as it should be.
Like almost creepy-pasta like. The game just flat out ends, with you knowing that all hope had been cut from the game, and the familiar faces are just gone after a certain point. I get a really strong sense of dread and sadness.

That's true, but ME is generally grand. Not necessarily clean or shiny, but almost always large scale and breathtaking. Omega for example is a run down hellhole, and a damn impressive one at that.

Doesn't really matter, you're fucked either way.

Its a lot easier to build a city from scratch then tear an entire city down then rebuild it with current tech.

That "strong sense of dread and sadness" is what ruined my weekend, hopefully it won't ruin yours. Some might guess that if people become this attached to characters that a proper ending to their existence would be as important as building up their existence, it's a shame Bioware didn't.
Sorry, but was this posted? Spoilers by the way.

Has anyone noticed when you get the Citadel model it's actually floating and spinning?
