I highly disagree. The "it was a dream" cliche is almost as bad as the time travel cliche of erasing everything you did. Both of these cliches negate any meaning and value from the experience.
Cliche or not it's better than the current endings.
worst ending of all: [sp]it's actually kai leng in the ruins of the cerberus base[/sp]
[sp]who gets a sexchange if you're femshep riht?[/sp]
worst ending of all: [sp]it's actually kai leng in the ruins of the cerberus base[/sp]
[sp]Why would Kai Leng have an N7 dog tag?[/sp]
Cliche or not it's better than the current endings.
I still can't agree with that. The endings, in my opinion, are better than an overly used cliche thats been done far too many times.
[sp]Why would Kai Leng have an N7 dog tag?[/sp]
[sp]because he's ex-Alliance special forces[/sp]
Killing [sp]Leng[/sp] was awesome Honestly, he's a deviant art character
Am I the only one here who doesn't object to Kai Leng's existence? He's a bit cartoonish, sure, but I didn't mind him as a secondary antagonist/hitman.
Am I the only one here who doesn't object to Kai Leng's existence? He's a bit cartoonish, sure, but I didn't mind him as a secondary antagonist/hitman.
I object to him. He's a cyborg ninja who's super duper fast and super strong and for some reason Commander Shepard can't kill him initially, and he fights with a katana instead of you, know, guns, and he's got super duper biotics... He's fucking Raiden.
Am I the only one here who doesn't object to Kai Leng's existence? Well besides [sp] the fight with him on the Asari home world and the fight with him at the Cerberus HQ[/sp] Those parts were both annoying.
Am I the only one here who doesn't object to Kai Leng's existence? He's a bit cartoonish, sure, but I didn't mind him as a secondary antagonist/hitman.
He was too much of a clichéd antagonist for me to care about him. Always come at the bad moment, is un-killable unless the game allows you to kill him, taunts you all the time. He's like that rival that you really fucking hate because the game doesn't let you kill him outright when you have the opportunity to. also, RAWRRRR RAWWR shut the fuck up.
Also, having the last boss of the Mass Effect series be [sp]Kai Leng was pretty lame. Wow. A new character. That we have no previous attachment too. Lame.[/sp]

As for being unable to kill him initially, I don't see that being much different than Shepard's inability to kill Saren on Virmire.

I swear they did that just to make you hate him.
being much different than Shepard's inability to kill Saren on Virmire.
Yeah and wasn't doing it once good enough?
[sp]Why would Kai Leng have an N7 dog tag?[/sp]
[sp]He killed you back on Thessia, every portion after that is a post-mortem dream. Duh.[/sp]
Am I the only one here who doesn't object to Kai Leng's existence? He's a bit cartoonish, sure, but I didn't mind him as a secondary antagonist/hitman.
He was handled far better than I would imagine such a character (as someone else said, basically future-Raiden) could be, but I don't think he added much to the game.
Best assets if they existed on ME3: Annoying fan from oblivion and Volus biotic God
Also, having the last boss of the Mass Effect series be [sp]Kai Leng was pretty lame. Wow. A new character. That we have no previous attachment too. Lame.[/sp]
He might have been the last boss fight, but he was hardly the last boss. I believe that honor goes to the Illusive Man, or [sp]the Catalyst[/sp]. Intellectual fight, not physical.
He might have been the last boss fight, but he was hardly the last boss. I believe that honor goes to the Illusive Man, or [sp]the Catalyst[/sp]. Intellectual fight, not physical.
Oh yeah, such of a fight with the [sp]Catalyst. You don't even fucking ask him why he's a kid or whoever he is to decide for the rest of the galaxy. You can't even be arsed to ask him any questions, in fact. You just swallow everything he throws at you.[/sp]
Yeah and wasn't doing it once good enough?
As the trope goes, Plot Armor. In both cases, we get a nice scene of Shepard facing one of his rare defeats, and in ME3 his humanity really shows. Cliche, maybe, but I like it.
You object to almost everything in this game.
The sex scene with Liara? I did not object to that in anyway shape or form
Oh yeah, such of a fight with the [sp]Catalyst. You don't even fucking ask him why he's a kid or whoever he is to decide for the rest of the galaxy.[/sp]
True 'nuff. I think the Illusive Man is more "final." [editline]12th March 2012[/editline]
The sex scene with Liara? I did not object to that in anyway shape or form
On the subject, I'm proud Bioware figured out how to animate kissing. I swear, even the Uncharted games can't get that right.
You object to almost everything in this game.
There's a lot to object to. KL was a random plot device character who came out of nowhere and fights with a sword. His role could've been completely replaced by a few faceless Cerberus soldiers.
[sp]Martin Sheen delivered such a great performance, too.[/sp]
He always does. Glorious bastard.
I played twelve hours of Mass Effect 2. Straight. How do I get Miranda to unhate me? I completed Jack's loyalty mission, but afterwards they got in a catfight. My not-asshole level wasn't high enough so I couldn't make both Jack and Miranda happy. What do I doooooo?

Actually, Delta, things I DO NOT object to? -The Shooting, hot shit it's so good. This is literally the tightest shooting I've seen in a game recently. -The environments. Some of the coolest I've seen in games. -Character moments. I have honestly nearly cried playing this game. I felt the tears swelling during a few conversations and cutscenes. -Sex scenes. That... that was nice. -Javik is actually an insanely cool character. -Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man. The Illusive Man is such a well written and well performed character. I've already spent 30 hours in this game. (that being said, I am at the last mission)
