Holy shit she's a bad writer and said some dumb things about video games, let it go.
Yeah, every company has at least one terrible employee, bioware is no exception.
Well, I just beat the game, and I'm pretty much where everyone is feeling. Coming from someone who's read most if not all of the Codex in-game, I don't think the ending would've aggravated me nearly as much as it did had it not come entirely out of left field. There is no explanation, no reason for what had happened, to happen. And even then, it pretty much ruins everything that was already established - "It was the plants all along." So many better explanations and answers to the Reaper problem could have been presented and addressed, but they missed the mark. But alas - you guys have discussed this to death.
Yeah, every company has at least one terrible employee, bioware is no exception.
It doesn't help that they had a really short development time to do everything they needed to do. Didn't DA2 only have 18 months of dev time?
oh god i was making a joke and it started a shit storm

Not plain old anti-war shit, real dark shit, shit that makes you see just how fucked up absoltely everything will be by the war and nothing will ever be the same. For the most part the galaxy felt the same as it did before, nothing wrong with that, but looming on the horizon is more than war, and they really didn't capture that.
Oh, not at all if you don't count how if you have <1750 EMS the Earth is destroyed in a wall of flame/storm of electricity.
I went to Earth with 1600 EMS and I can confirm this i was like "oh shit" when that happened serves me right for having never carried my saves from me1 to me2, and me2 to me3 v:v:v

Did you skip half the game? Alliance assets ALONE give you something like 1300.
Even with a non-import, how could you possibly have such a low EMS? Did you skip half the game? Alliance assets ALONE give you something like 1300.
50% galactic readiness without that whole system in place i would have been at 3360
50% galactic readiness without that whole system in place i would have been at 3360
But you still must have missed an INCREDIBLE amount of content. I'm nearing 4000 EWS with 60% Galactic Readiness. The Alliance alone gave me 1497.
Max, did you do ANY of the side missions?
Max, did you do ANY of the side missions?
He can be forgiven if he didn't. The fetch quests were really boring. And there was only like 4 or 5 actual side missions
actually, an edit the Reapers say they're willing to leave but only if Shepard sleeps with Harbinger Shepard takes one for the team, and Shepard's ass is never the same. It's a heroic sacrifice.
Still a better love story than Twilight.
Max, did you do ANY of the side missions?
didn't do most of the "go there, fetch me this" kind of thing, didn't handle aria's clan thing well either i don't really know what i could have missed, i did the actual sidequests when i saw them on the galaxy map
didn't do most of the "go there, fetch me this" kind of thing, didn't handle aria's clan thing well either i don't really know what i could have missed, i did the actual sidequests when i saw them on the galaxy map
Did you get the Krogans, Turians, Salarians, Asari, Quarians AND Geth on your side? You must be missing at least a few of them. Also, those fetch quests add up more than you think.

also, I fucking hate the Salarians, I wish they would go die.
Hate to say it, but it defies imagination how your EWS was so low. *shrug* And I found the game challenging, but I was playing on Hardcore and I rolled Vanguard, which has shit for shields.
also, I fucking hate the Salarians, I wish they would go die.
but they're lizard bros and love science they're not like asari or anything, nothing to really hate
Going through the files it seems like the [sp]destroy ending[/sp] is the one they focused on most. Most files point towards that as the default. Plus that ending has the most variations compared to the others.
but they're lizard bros and love science they're not like asari or anything, nothing to really hate
Except for the Dalatrass. Cunt. Wish I could have slugged her like I did with Han'Gerrel.

If they were to do a sequel MMO or something, it'd have to be based on destroy with the galaxy reforming into something organised after centuries of dark ages. Control would be fucked up and synergy would be OP and change the scenario too much, they'd figure out some way to get the Geth back though, in all their glory.[/sp]
also, I fucking hate the Salarians, I wish they would go die.
Kirrahe is a bro.
I'll just continue to believe this is the true ending until Bioware says otherwise. http://arkis.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-3-Alternate-Endings-SPOILERS-289902125
Wow, this is amazing. [editline]12th March 2012[/editline]
Kirrahe is a bro.
And Mordin.
