Just finished the game. I fucking hate it for making me all depressed and shit. Especially with that sad music playing in the background.
If I still knew how to cry I would have done so when the cinematics played.
I look forward to what they announce the first DLC as. If they ever make an epilogue related one, it'll probably be the last one they do.

I'm sorry if I'm late but someone on Deviantart (evidently something good can come from that site) wrote a goddamn good ending. Massive spoilers, obviously: http://arkis.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-3-Alternate-Endings-SPOILERS-289902125

The game deserves this ending!
I'd much rather genocide machines then organics.[/sp]
[sp]Quarians acted like huge idiots for centuries and finally Gerrel snapped and lost his mind. From my point of view the Geth are much more deserving of life[/sp]
It's like the writers at Bioware got carried away with their own product, the expectations for the ending were so high that the writers started forcing bullshit to make it more convoluted and ~original when a traditional ending would have fit the series like a boot and given closure.
i just finished it. it was depressing and weird at the same time. i mean, i knew they were going to pull at least some sort of weird surrealist shit but that was a tad ridiculous. i kinda appreciated it while it was happening but... in hindsight it was kind of a let down (a depressing one at that). it really pissed me off that they spent all this time talking about how all the galactic readiness and missions and assets and shit would help you get a different result each time but then all you end up with is orgy master joker and weird philosophical shit
I seem to have become stuck on the [sp]'Aria: Eclipse'[/sp] mission. [sp]I chose to go the Paragon way, not releasing the psychotic asari and encouraging her second in command to step up to the plate. Apparently Bailey's supposed to contact me and let me know that Aria's stopped the release request. I've had no such message and I've left and gone to the Refugee area many times since.[/sp] Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'm still disappointed with the lack of many conversation options. It makes me feel a lot less like Shepard.
[sp]I now know what Saren was talking about, I know way back then, kinda think Saren could be right, when we get to the ending of ME3 we kind of see the reaper's whole purpose, but we needed Shepard to tell the reaper leader that things can be changed and there's a choice everyone can free from the cycle. Also it kinda reminds us about Battlestar Galactica. Synthetics created and it turns against us. Whatever the case, the reaper leader shouldn't try to balance the human race's free will, being in space is what most people dreamed of and now they are there. He's just a Dream Reaper. [/sp]

Still imnot 100% sure, just try it[/sp]
Actually, come to think of it, ME3 really is a lot more restricting than the last two games.
I assume they just wanted to give Shepard his own personality so that the ending would be more impactful.
Actually, come to think of it, ME3 really is a lot more restricting than the last two games.
I miss the hacking puzzles, such as the code puzzle, where you have to find 3 pieces of identical code :(

End game spoilers: [sp]Bioware has killed my soul.[/sp]
I already have... [sp]Bailey's meant to speak to me, as I'm leaving the floor, but he hasn't and nothing I do seems to make him...[/sp]
Go up to the docking area that's been turned into temporary refugee accommodation. At the very far end of the room there's a Salarian. Talk to him, convince him to take over, and... done... I think. I can't remember entirely (and I only did it myself yesterday).

Apparently you have to restart the mission it it's bugged like that.
How does one do so? [sp]The C-Sec guy you speak to about the release has gone.[/sp] From this video, you're supposed to get spoken to by Bailey as soon as you go to the elevator, I've never had that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI9koiKQWVw&t=10m32s [editline]12th March 2012[/editline] Wait. The guy is still here, but not talkable to. And Bailey just says [sp]Speak to me after you've spoken to Sederis,[/sp] which I did ages ago.
Yeah, apparently it's a bug and the only solution I found was restarting the mission (Menu -> Load -> "Restart Mission" or something - it's one of the saves, throws you back to when you entered the Citadel the last time).

How to do the Blue suns mission without killing [sp]Oraka[/sp] :v:
Ending spoilers [sp]To be honest, i don't really want a ending where Shepard survives. The series just doesn't feel like something you would walk away from. It feels right that he sacrifices himself. I do however, hope that the current ending was indoctrination and that the true ending to the Reapers is different.[/sp]
How to do the Blue suns mission without killing [sp]Oraka[/sp] :v:
Sidemission spoiler:[sp]If you talk to him he will tell you something about the Blue Suns and how he's trying to acquire a bunch of weapons. After that you have to talk to a Salarian shopkeeper near where Liara is looking out over the Presidium. He'll tell you he won't take credits and he'll ask you to acquire a relic from a system. Doing that will make him sell the weapons to Oraka and he will, in turn, leave the Blue Suns alone.[/sp]
Also another weirdness with then ending is that [sp] Anderson appears to be controlled by TIM or Harbinger as he says he can't use the terminal [/sp]. Any ideas?
Just finished the game. I fucking hate it for making me all depressed and shit. Especially with that sad music playing in the background.
I've been listening to all the credits music non stop after finishing the game. All us being upset about the [sp] 'not being with squad endings' [/sp] just shows Bioware succeeded. Succeeded in making a world and people we care about. Succeeded in making a game like no other. I would like to say thanks Bioware, thanks for one kick ass journey.
I like to think that was the point the fanbase got all riled up and shit, but that was the goal- to make you sad
