Even if the Rachni DO appear in ME3 regardless of your choices it'd make sense to me. I mean we all know that Sovereign may have indoctrinated the Rachni to cause the Rachni wars (from listening to what the Rachni queen in ME1 says) - if I were Sovereign and I were going to use such creatures to attempt to take over the galaxy I'd surely take a few on board and do genetic tests on them, clone them, that sort of thing. It wouldn't surprise me if the Reapers released indoctrinated creatures from cycles millions of years ago that we've only read about in the galaxy map in ME3 simply because they deemed them worthy and useful as shocktroops and decided to clone them en masse or something.

I glanced over the old leak scripts and if it makes any of you feel any better, I'm pretty sure your choice does affect things. But I think Rachni Husks are there regardless.
For everyones questioning of Anderson, [SP]he steps down from the Councillor position in the ME novels (not the shit one I swear). [/SP] Not really spoilers tbh but if you haven't read the books you may not wanna know.

While the Books are cool I'm sure, they should really explain that in-game, instead of expecting me to buy the books, considering both Bioware and the Writers of them said you don't need either, to enjoy mass-effect fully.
Reminds me, is that last shitty book even considered Canon? Pretty sure its not cause it bombed like fuck if I recall.
Though I just realized my post kinda jumps the gun a bit, I'm sure they would explain in ME3, I mean why the hell wouldn't you :v:
So..is it true that none of your choices from ME 1 & 2 matter?
I heard that [sp]Udina is councilor no matter whom you chose in Me1, and that the Rachni show up as "husks" even if you killed the Queen in ME1, along some other minor ones[/sp]
Please say this isn't true.
[sp]Udina is canon Councilor, since Anderson got sick of talking to the wall, if he was a Councilor that is.[/sp]
[sp]Also, Rachni Queen appears only if you let her live, only it's negative consequence since she's indoctrinated. Dunno if you can get something good out of it.[/sp]

I read the first three books and don't recall that happening...
Well, according to the voice cast trailer he is [SP] Admiral [/sp] Anderson. So I guess [SP] Udina is the head honcho of the council [/sp]

If I remember correctly, it happens in [SP]retribution [/SP]

I have a question about this that's been bugging me for a bit...
But before that, [sp]so saving the Rachni queen is a bad idea? So all those people back in the day saying she's easily indoctrinated weren't wrong![/sp]
But back to what I was saying before, [sp]let's say you form a Human Empire, hell, let's assume you make Udina head chairman. Why then, does he try to stage a coup to grab more power? He's already got all the power already.[/sp]

Because he's a dick like that.

What is the origin of this? and who is Stanley woo?

I always thought he looked a little like Palpatine. Seems I was right.

He is a Bioware moderator and famous for closing all threads and banning everyone who crticizes Bioware games.

All those times he did that crushing motion with his hands tipped me off

Ah, that's why I haven't saw BG/NWN players on BSN.

Except I'm fairly sure they explained the Human Reaper would be coated in the traditional cuttlefish outer shell after it's done "gestating."
Unless that was a fan interpretation that was accepted as canon because Bioware never gave an actual explanation.
Gonna replay mass effect 1 but don't feel like using my xbox. Anyone know where I can get a key for under 20 dollars? Amazon had it for like ten dollars but I dont feel like waiting for shipping.

Steam is pretty cool, though the game is still $19.99 there. Other than that, you might have to just wait a couple days.
I'm ok with using origin for it. It's an EA game so might as well. But 19.99 is a bit much for something thats half a decade old.

Hah no, it's all just retcons. After all these threads on FP and /v/ I've learned to chill the fuck. It's true that Bioware has horrible writers (some at least and it's not just Hepler) and they tend to cop out. Mass Effect 3 is mostly intact and I can look beside the fan service, it's even possible to romance no one if you find the concept ridiculous.
I despise all this bro stuff with a passion, but my Sheploo killed of Ashley and did Liara instead. Why? Because Kaidan is better written. His Jump zero story isn't really boring, it's great. Can't even say Ashley is xenophobic, she has a damn good reason, but her writing just sucks (for me) and thus: K.I.A. killed in action!

Just look at the fools still criticizing the RPG elements, most people backed off after they saw the complete talent trees. They are simple to understand in ME3, but complex in options. I guess everyone is fine with that after seeing the leaked demo.
The reaper core is designed to look like the race it's made of, not the whole reaper.
Then why was the derelict reaper empty? Because they missed to retcon it! See what I just did there?
Wasn't the core you had to destroy in the derelict Reaper somewhat similar to a close up of one of the Human Reaper's eyes? There's your Reaper Core.
Wasn't the core you had to destroy in the derelict Reaper somewhat similar to a close up of one of the Human Reaper's eyes? There's your Reaper Core.
Nah the core was just what the core in the Normandy is: A giant element zero orb, which has practical use by generating mass effect fields. A terminator inside a shell has no practical use, a computer would have.
The whole individual reaper idea isn't bad but seriously: What are the improvements of harbinger over sovereign? Can you see a better gun being mounted on the hull? Assimilating a species simply gathers knowledge, which would be used by a machine to improve itself. Look at cars 100 years ago: No roofs. Cars today go faster, they can roll over in worst case, the roof will protect the driver. So what would a human reaper do better than a cuttlefish?
[editline]2nd February 2012[/editline]
Reference: The mouth of the human reaper is the butt of the cuttlefish that stores it. What?!

Don't bother about the plotholes. The gameplay and story is mostly intact and we get only stuck on discussing details. Mass Effect 3 will be great overall.
